My daughter loves Silver in the City, so this is where I go when I want to pick her up a special gift. I usually shop at the store on Mass Ave, but I was in Carmel, so decided to check it out. The clerks were busy stocking shelves for Christmas when we entered, but welcomed us with big smiles. The shop seems a bit smaller that their other location, but still carries most of the same merchandise. They are known for their silver jewelry by various artists. Currently, they are featuring charm necklaces. An Indiana theme runs throughout the store with everything from Indiana necklaces to Indiana kitchen towels. It's a great place to pick up a gift with candles, art and even some local foods. I even saw a few toys and puzzles today for the kids.I was looking for a funny card and they have a small selection of cards but they were somewhat inappropriate to give a daughter. But they do have lots of crazy socks. There is street parking or parking behind the building.

Ok now this is what I call "The stuff dreams are made of!!!!". Just a chance visit while strolling around Arts district and my goodness Silver in the city has the cutest, prettiest, bestest (I know that's not a word) and awesome collection of stones, jewelry, journals, book marks, oh and the stickers!!!, you name it! I don't even have the complete list here. What we planned as 2 mins ended up into a 20 minute dive into Silver in the City world and trust me, so trust me that I wasn't done yet but I had to head out just then. This one's a keeper for anyone who wants unique and different gifts, for anyone who likes to hoard journals and for anyone who loves adoring their walls and tables with fancy stuff. Ah I could go on and go on but you get the gist! Go, go now!

Small store that quickly becomes overstuffed with EMPLOYEES on a busy shopping day. Give some folks the day off and allow customers to actually shop.

I love this store and I try to shop here as often as possible. If I am looking for a unique gift for someone, Silver in the City is the place I hit up first.I found the "Neighborhoods of Indianapolis" poster at Silver in the City, and when I bought it, they helped me find a local shop where I could get it framed. They are serious about the "shop local" motto here! They really love keeping the dollars in the community, which I appreciate. There are so many fun and unusual things here, and even if I'm not buying anything, I like to drop in and browse to see what new products they have. This is a fun store with helpful staff that will help you find the perfect gift (or just something fun for yourself).

I popped into Silver in the City during the Carmel International Arts Festival this year. My grandmother had expressed to one of the associates here that I was desperately searching for earrings that match my engagement ring. My engagement ring has a dark red ruby center stone, so finding earrings that match for my wedding has been a challenge. The associate (I wish I remembered their name) showed me their entire selection, and worked with me to find my perfect pair. They gushed over how beautiful my ring is and really made me feel like a lucky bride. I appreciate how lovely this experience was. I felt truly cared for by the staff here, and I can't wait to wear my earrings on my wedding day. Thank you!

My first time at this location. My husband and I stopped in and ended up spending a good 30-45 minutes looking at all the fun products they offer. This is the perfect spot if you're looking for unique, funny and thoughtful gifts. Tons of fun knick-knacks and beautiful pieces of dainty jewelry. I was looking for a notebook to journal in and I found 3-4 that I really liked. It was hard to choose! I appreciated the variety they offer. They offer local coffee beans from Indie Coffee Roasters- one of my favorites. Really looking forward to coming back to get some gifts for friends and family. All of the employees were very welcoming and helped answer any questions we had.

I've stopped in the other location before and was excited to check out this one too. Ideally located right on Main, it's a perfect spot. Greeted upon entry and even provided with a local map of other shopping areas, we wondered around taking everything in. You need to allow yourself time to take in the ambiance. There are so many treasures to spot in this store. Love the locally supported artists and it's near impossible to choose what to purchase. My favorite might be all the jewelry, but it could change the next time I pop by!

I love this store! It's a must stop for me to check out all the new items and they always have new fun decor, gifts, and even clothes and jewelry! I always find something I just have to have and items I want to get for my friends and family. It's somewhat of a large space and they really fill in every inch with cute stuff! I am always greeted by someone when I come in and asked if I need help. I am often here the nights of the Gallery Walk so it can be busier, but I can still walk around without feeling too crowded and checkout has always been fast! My husband usually has to drag me out of the store since I always want to show him one more thing! If you are looking for a cute gift then I would make sure you stop here to check out all the fun things for sure! I really love all the Indiana themed stuff!

The jewelry has always been great in this store. And I love supporting local artists and businesses but I am not on board with supporting cheap products that are highly sacrilegious and borderline pornographic. This trend is hitting many local shops that support local but line shelves with made in China products that insult its customers. It has surrounded itself with really gross products making this store not a good place to take children. Christians, in particular Catholic holy items are mocked with our cross on products that also mock our Saints and God. Next to those items are sexual books, Satan tarot cards and symbols. and the f word on everything. It is just so disappointing to see this trend bring down the craft of the talented artisans in our city and reduce the moral fabric of society. In a world where you can get these things anywhere, why taint local art? And why insult religious groups. Broad Ripple shops are also degrading items of faith and family. It is disappointing. Stick to local art please.
