A perfect location for a good hearty breakfast. Food came out hot and properly cooked. Old school interior that was cozy on a winter morning. Food very good and coffee good. Friendly staff. Large parking lot. Daily specials. My wife had the beef Manhattan and she enjoyed. They keep drink refills coming. Azalea was a professional friendly waitperson. She really made us feel welcome. Great breakfast.

I have been here 3 times now and love it! The staff is very attentive and the food is amazing! The eggs are always cooked exactly how you want but the French toast paired with a chocolate milk is my favorite. I end my meals with a slice of pie and ask for it to be warmed up. My favorite is the sugar cream pie. The place is always filled with regulars and when I'm dining a lone I like to sit at the breakfast bar. The chefs are so sweet and I try to give them a wave as I go. I don't think there is anything I would change. Maybe being open longer so I can come more often.

Passing through from out of town and my husband prefers little mom and pop dinners. Mattie Jo served us today. We ate breakfast and it was very good. The service was amazing. Would eat there again.

DO NOT ORDER THE COFFEE.​The staff is quick, business-like, and not overly chatty. They don't waste time. The food is high quality.H​owever, the coffee is the abs​olute worst in Tippecanoe County. It is alw​ays ​lukewarm and bitter, and the cups are cold. Coffee should arrive HOT. You should be able to warm your hands on a HOT cup. I s​ent it back and asked for it to be taken off the check. Th​e servers carry pots around the dining room and pour more cold coffee into the cups without even asking. Add creamer, and it turns gray! You've been warned.TURN THE MUSIC DOWN! Get ready to lean way or the table and raise your voice to have a conversation. Why is the radio even on?

We were directed to Shellie's by the AT&T sales guru. It was close and we hadn't tried it. The service was extremely friendly and food delivered quickly. The food wasn't bad but really just bland and non anything to make it worthy of a revisit. The biscuits were cake like and on the dry side. Home fries were boring and the cinnamon roll similarly not great. Like I mentioned nothing was bad with the food just quick dry grub. The restaurant itself seems lost, it's a diner with ocean themed decorations. Odd for an Indiana dinner. Lots of clutter by the register and checking out left you looming over other guests eating due to no standing room. The booths were dingy and obviously need a good steam cleaning meaning people's oily hair residue was obvious on all booths. The wooden tables had similar black smudged stains from years of service. Overall I give it a 2.4 and despite the fact I'm not likely to return simply due to many other better options, I wouldn't tell someone not to go. Just don't have expectations that some epic is about to happen to your taste buds.

It's a diner, so the clientele and decor are what you would expect. Service was good. Lot of waitresses. This place is pretty busy. Parking seemed easy. The problem is the food. It was just bad. I ordered a perch sandwich. It was obviously a frozen, pre-cooked fish filet that was re-fried on site. As a result, breading was way too crunchy, fish was *very* fishy, the bun fell apart. I ate half maybe. Bad fish like this is why a huge swathe of middle America makes blanket statements like "I dont like fish". If you've only ever eaten gross fish like this, I guess I can understand. Just know there is real fish out there and it's spectacular.Fries were good though. Daughter had a cheeseburger. Tasted like the cheap burgers you would get at a company cookout. Seemed like pre-cooked frozen meat discs thrown on a flat top to heat through. Edible at least.

I moved yesterday and my morning reward was Shellie's! I have always wanted to try the breakfast. Honestly, one of the best omelettes I have ever had. I tried the Denver, with cheddar instead of American cheese. It was super loaded! I added a pancake, which was just ok. The biscuits and gravy my fiancé had were good, but could have used some salt. Great biscuits! I would definitely try this for breakfast again. .

We really enjoy your food. We have had it delivered three times during the pandemic. Food?? Excellent. Only complaint: last 2 deliveries arrived with no butter, no syrup ( French toast), no napkins, no plastic ware, etc. We shrugged it off the first time. But, now my wife and daughter's food is getting cold while my wife drives 4 miles round trip for syrup. I also work in a restaurant here in town. I pack up a TON of to go food. It takes care. We may try once more, but, it is frustrating.

Do yourself a favor, skip Cracker Barrel and come here for breakfast. The food is fixed with pride and the service is down home, family like. An amazing find that will be a must do stop the next time I am in town to visit my Mom.
