Truck plus cupcake? Putting these two things together conjures images of chocolate plus peanut butter or peanut butter plus jam or jam and scones plus Devonshire clotted cream; it's all just about divine. So, I had to make my way to the inaugural event of purchasing my cupcake from a truck--mere blocks from my house, too (bonus). The ladies in charge of all this fabulousness, Lisa, has a warm dazzling smile and some lovely little cupcakes. I ordered the Little Chachi Lime Strawberry--lovely and flavorful. And even though I am thankful that I will have less to work off at the gym tonight, I wish the 'medium' ( I believe they called it) was a bit bigger. I really like the size cup they serve it in--(Gigi's should take a hint since they give you such an extra-large helping of icing). And had just a wee bit more frosting. Other than that, hearty congratulations. I'm all about entrepreneurs; especially ladies--turning their sweet dreams into a very sweet reality. Hope to run across them frequently near my favorite downtown haunts. Oh, and today, I even scored a treat for my little one. And no, I don't mean children. I mean my pooch--who seemed to love his too!

WOW. Chocolate and peanut butter cupcake, absolutely the best cupcake I've ever had in my life. And just about the most decadent dessert I've ever had, period. Unbelievably rich, gooey, moist, mind-bending explosion of sugary flavor. It was so intense that I really don't know how I ate the whole thing, not to mention how I did it without a glass of milk nearby ... but I simply couldn't stop shoveling it in my face.Scout's has changed my mind on the whole cupcake fad. I had previously been disappointed with other cupcakeries around town - they always seemed like something I could easily make at home. But this Scout's cupcake? Yes, I'll gladly pay whatever you tell me it costs. And I'll now seek out your truck whenever I need a ridiculously rich cupcake fix.

Scout's Sea salt brownie is divine! Lemon shakeups are the perfect balance of sweetness and tart lemon. Each treat is fresh with premium ingredients. Can't wait to try one of the other amazing treats I saw on her list. Excellent finale for every food truck event - highly recommended!

Sea salt brownie. 5 stars. The owner is so sweet I would probably buy from her even if she didn't have a great product. She talks to everyone and in a very real, genuine way. I can't say enough good things about the food and the service. Also, the review below that didn't even have anything but a soft drink? It is irresponsible to review a business when you really didn't even try the product. Call pepsi if the soft drink prices are too high. Or, I don't know, drink some water?

Cute cupcakes and interesting combinations. Presentation and service were very nice. I love cupcakes any time, but I wonder if the cupcake trend has gotten too unwieldy for its own good. Much like the quivering mound of fragile cake ready to collapse under the burden of icing, the cupcake trend appears to be headed in that direction. Don't get me wrong, I adore cupcakes and I liked STT's offerings. I just wish the frosting was less overwhelming and the cake was more substantial. This true for almost all cupcakes I've tried during this recent cupcake trend (so it's not just STT).

The Cupcake Girl (aka Lisa Moyer) has one of the best and most popular food trucks in Indy! Scout's Treat Truck (named Pippa) is easy to recognize because "she" is pink. I follow Lisa on Facebook and Twitter so I always know when she's going to be in the Downtown area where I work. I even braved the cold last week to walk about 4-5 blocks to get some cupcakes. Yes, they are that good! My favorite is Jack's Peanut Butter which is a chocolate cupcake with peanut butter frosting. But every flavor I have tried has been delicious. The frosting is whipped and fluffy, not that heavy sickeningly sweet lard type frosting. And the sea salt brownies are awesome! Seeing the Scout's Treat Truck is like seeing the ice cream truck when you were a kid. I scream, you scream, we all scream for cupcakes!
