Scout's Pizzaria

My best friend once told me that Scouts was in her top three favorite pizza joints, and if you knew us, you'd know that meant something! So when we were wondering through Terre Haute recently, I knew it had to be in the plans. We ordered the Hot Honey pizza, Spicy BBQ pizza, Goat cheese and marinara dip, and the cheese bread. The goat cheese and marinara was one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. I couldn't stop eating it. My second favorite was the hot honey pizza. I know everyone is doing it right now, but this is one of the best renditions I've seen so far. The crust is wood fired but not "too" burnt. Perfect! Our service was quick and friendly. And the restaurant has a passage to The Verve! How handy for nights out!

Top notch Wood-Fired pizza. The crust is crisp, the toppings are generous. I think their pepperoni and their sausage are standouts but everything seemed good, including the salads. The service was very eager and friendly. Thumbs up!

Great pizza and the Caesar salad dressing is really good. Nice girl who works there. Very good service. Will definitely eat here again.

Server was very nice and friendly. Tried the side Caesar salad and it was a good portion for the price and and tasted great. Had some new focaccia cheese bread that was good. My veggie pizza was great. Loved the crust. We'd definitely come back.

Scout's Pizzeria is a nice little artisan pizza place in downtown Terre Haute. All of the pizza is handmade to order. This means it takes a little while to get your food once you order, but the wait is worth it. My one complaint is that the price point is a little above what I originally expected ($16-20 a pizza) but it's not too bad considering how delicious my pizza was.

We had the all meats pizza and Cesar salads. Really good pizza and the salads were chilled and crisp. Service was amazing days and enjoyed a warm day sitting outside in beautiful down Terre Haute. Stayed at the Candlewood Suites which was a stones throw away.Wood Fire Pizz

What a gem!Parked right next to The Verve on East Wabash, Scout's brings the heat. Whether it's delicious cheesy bread or goat cheese appetizers, salads or their signature stone-fired pizzas, you won't be disappointed Our party of five was greeted immediately by Jaiden, who promptly took our drink orders and answered a few questions about the menu. (And yes, they have a gluten-free crust option!)The aforementioned goat cheese/marinara dip (holy delicious!) quickly arrived with some pita-style pizza crust chips and the cheese bread was a hit.Scout's is upfront about their preparation and cooking process, letting you know online and on their in-person menu that their made-from-scratch pizzas are cooked in a stone-fired oven and might take up to 30 minutes to arrive. We were pleasantly surprised when ours (four total pies) arrived in just under 20 minutes, but it didn't take us long to realize that the pizza was so good we would have waited twice that long, and maybe even longer!Ingredients ranging from hot honey to arugula to goat cheese to pepperoni were noticeably fresh and plentiful across each of our respective pizzas, and the pies themselves were cut cleanly and evenly. Simplistic but very, very satisfying. All in all, five stars!(Side note: I'm a veteran of more than a few kitchens and bars, and I haven't seen efficiency like I saw at Scout's in a long time. Jaiden handled the front of the house like a pro, topping off waters and teas and running appetizers, salads and pizzas to every corner of the restaurant, while Scout was all over the food prep and plating in the back (and being amazingly consistent with fantastic presentation, I might add.) I've seen kitchens staffed with ten times the people that don't operate that smoothly. Kudos to the both of them!)

Service started friendly. Clean with a casual vibe. Menu looks great. Quick food delivery. I think our pizza would have been excellent but it was clearly burnt with no offer to make it right. "That's the brick oven way" Would love see this local business excel but when they tell you you're wrong they can...oh well.In the end I had a 20 something explain to me what brick oven pizza was. Wonder why they were empty and closing early on one of the busiest weekends in The Haute.

Greeted as soon as I walked in, was helped by London at the counter, and they had my order (Chicken Alfredo pizza) ready in 15 minutes. It was simply delicious. Great service, great food, can't go wrong. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area.

Excellent atmosphere for family dining or a nite out with the guys. Excellent pizza definitely get your money worth. Had a fabulous conversation with the manger!! 10/10
