Sangiovese - Fishers District

The service at Sangiovese was A+ from the moment I called to make a reservation to the end of the meal. - Called to reserve a table for 6, was initially told there was no space in my timeframe but that they'd call me back if space opened. I received a call back around 20 mins later and was able to book easily - When seated, our initial table was in a loud part of the restaurant. We were going out for a birthday with my grandma and wanted to be able to hear each other, so we requested a different table. We were moved quickly and politely by the staff, and the experience was much quieter - Fantastic service through the entire meal, and the food was great. We had the caesar salad with anchovies, calamari, and several pasta dishes, and all were the right temperature when they arrived at our table and absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend for a nice date, family meal, or other celebration. The small room outside of the larger dining area is very loud, but if you don't mind that it's just about perfect.

The experience was truly one of the best I've had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the hostesses greeted us with warmth and friendliness, setting the tone for the evening. Our server, Dale, was exceptional; he clearly knew the menu inside and out, which made our dining experience all the more enjoyable. It was evident that the entire staff worked together seamlessly, creating an atmosphere that felt both inviting and professional.Dale's knowledge about the menu was impressive, and his great sense of humor made the evening even more delightful. He expertly paced our courses, ensuring we never felt rushed while also anticipating our needs. It was as if he could read our minds!The food itself was perfectly prepared, with each dish showcasing incredible flavors and attention to detail. The cocktails and wine selection were also impressive, surpassing our expectations and perfectly complementing our meal.This restaurant is ideal for any occasion--whether it's a fun girls' night out, a romantic date night, or a professional business meeting. I cannot recommend this location enough, especially if you have the pleasure of having Dale as your waiter. His exceptional service truly elevated our dining experience!

Sangiovese is our favorite place for great Italian food. We normally go to the iron district one but we're farther north so popped in. They didn't disappoint and gave us awesome service. I was able to customize my spaghetti too. I normally opt for their delicious lasagna. The ambience is different than their counterpart and has more of a hip vibe that's great for dates or get togethers. Definitely don't skip past this place if you want amazing Italian food.

This place was delicious! I think about the linguine con vongole sauce often because it was just THAT good. I shared with others at my table and they agreed as well. Our waitress was nice and helped answer any questions we had. The person that stood out was the man that refilled waters- his personality is great! The decor is very nice too on the inside. When we came it was a nice day out so we opted to sit on the patio to enjoy ourselves. I can't remember the day but on the day we went there was also half priced wine advertised. Just note that it is only for bottles, not for glasses of wine. I'll definitely be returning!

The waiter was clairvoyant! Best Fruti Di Mare ever (w/o linguini), but lotsa fresh warm bread.. The fresh warm bread made the dish even better.

Love this place & totally back on their game. Ellen was terrific - efficient, bubbly personality and knowledgeable about the menu & the wine list. I took her recommendations on both and was so happy that I did. The goat cheese appetizer (a combo of ricotta & goat cheese steamed in a ramekin, then covered lightly with a delicate cream sauce and served with toast points is, as always, awesome. The Rosticciana - a pork roll stuffed with mortadella, sausage and rosemary topped with a Gorgonzola cream sauce - both robust & savory - met my palate perfectly. A Hess Chardonnay paired well with both dishes. Finished with a nice slice of NY Cheesecake with raspberry coulis garnished with strawberries.

This was my first time coming here but it won't certainly be my last. If you are looking for a cute romantic vibe or a nice restaurant to go for a girls night out this is the place. The waiter Will was so knowledgeable and suggested drinks and food.I was going to get the pasta because I read the reviews. But once he told me what the special was I thought it was a great idea to get the special. I asked Will which did he suggest and he said I couldn't go wrong with either and the fish and shrimp was really yummy. So I decided to go with his recommendation and I'm so glad I did. The drinks we got was a chocolate martini, French 75 and their version of a margarita.Oh I forgot to mention we had the fried ravioli and the calamari so so so good. We also had the Caesar salad the dressing is homemade.

I came back here recently and tried the tortellini dish, which was delicious! We sat outside in the beautiful May weather so it was all around a great experience. I love that this restaurant has the outdoor patio area. I'm a fan and will definitely be back! Xoxo,Is this thing on?

I loooveee some good Italian and it just didn't blow me or my friends away. I am willing to give it a second try, the other reviews are too good not to!

We came in with a reservation for 6 people and were seated right away. You will certainly want a reservation for this spot, like other restaurants in The Fishers District, it's in high demand. The ambiance and cocktails were great. We only wished the food was as great. We really enjoyed the mussels and our seafood pasta dish. However, we felt like most of thr others fell a little flat. The ravioli lacked flavor, and thr Goat cheese appetizer was the same. I would come back for drinks and appetizers.
