The tasting was nice; another winery to add to our list. When I asked the gentleman pouring for us if drinks were allowed on the street I was told that I could not walk around with a glass of wine but could walk around with a wine slushy. He went as far as saying, "they worked something out with the area." I was later told that this area has no DORA program (google it) I live in a town with a very popular DORA program so I'm familiar with how this works. Wineries.....you guys need to come together on this. If some of you are allowing drinks around town and others aren't........you're gonna spoil it for all of us. We're planning to come back to the area; we'll probably be back to this location. But dudes, don't skirt around the law; stop tryin' to get us in trouble, lol.

My friend and I had passed this place many times and had always been curious as to if it was any good. It is not. The blondish woman working has a terrible attitude and seems put out when you ask her any question at all. She made me and my friend feel stupid for asking about prices on a cheese board. Also their sine BOASTS their "specials" as if they're amazing gifts. "5% off cheese trays on Tuesdays " who cares lol The real issue was the woman who gave us such attitude though. Find better help.

Stopped in over the weekend for the first time while visiting Brown County! Cute little spot near all the shops, and I'm always down for a quick wine tasting so was definitely excited to try it out. Here you can get 6 tasting for $5 which isn't bad at all. We ended up doing two sets of tastings each so we could sample most, and since they're only 1 oz pours it's very manageable. They also had some cheese/crackers snacks all available to enjoy with your tasting. As far as the wines I enjoyed about 75% of the ones I tried! Purchased a bottle of the Riesling (that and the merlot were my favorites as far as dry ones). I do think sweet wine lovers will really like this place as they have a whole page of options! The blackberry and blueberry were very good.

We stopped by on a quiet fall Tuesday, and thought it was a great little winery. You get 6 small ~1 oz pours. It's free if you buy a bottle, otherwise $5. I enjoyed the Cabernet Sauvignon, but ended up getting a bottle of the Catawba for something on the sweet end. You could get a bottle and sit in the front porch people watching, sipping. If you don't finish it, they will re-cork it for you.I thought it was a fine establishment, and worth a stop if you are in town. I'm amazed that they've been open for 3 years and only have one other review.

Terrible experience! The lady helping us was not pleasant and the tasting samples were very small. I would not recommend.

B and I recently took a trip up to Nashville, Indiana to mountain bike for the day. After our trek we decided to go into town and check out some of the local spots. While walking along the small streets that are crowded with gift shops, restaurants, ice cream and candy shops, etc. we spotted Salt Creek Winery Tasting Room and decided to stop in. It's a bit off the beaten path, in an odd location in a parking lot, but the space looked nice and we wanted to taste some local wines, so we gave it a shot. Outside they advertise "free" wine tastings, inside as well, but be warned your tasting is free *when you purchase a bottle.* Without a bottle purchase (most are around $10-12) your tasting will run you $6, and you don't get to keep your glass. You'll get six pours though, so it's not a bad deal. I prefer sweeter wines, so this spot was great for me! They have tons of fruit wines on the menu, and even when B tried several of their "dry" wines they were sweet enough for me to enjoy. There were 4-5 people working behind the counter, and only one other couple tasting while we were in the shop. Nonetheless, it took us quite some time to make it through our six small pours, as the staff kept leaving their stations to chat with one another. We were having a leisurely day, so this was only a minor annoyance; however, if you're in a rush or looking for a quick tasting stop this may not be the spot. If you're looking for some local wine, and you don't mind wine of the sweeter variety, and you have some time on your hands - this is a nice little spot to check out.

Great family owned winery, full of many different award winning wines, sweet or dry. All are tasty, would highly recommend to anyone near the area, so long as you dont mind the crowded town of Nashville.

This is probably my favorite winery tasting spot in Nashville. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They have a great selection of sweet wine and reasonably priced. They've recently renovated the outside and now have a charming deck where you can enjoy some fresh air while you taste their delicious wine. You don't want to miss this one!

This is my favorite local winery. Many others have grown big and expanded into other products. This one has stayed small - they do have the original location in Freetown- but they focus on what they do best. Behind the counter they have a display of several of their wines that have won national awards. Their Catawba is great, as is their port wine (but they also have some dry wines too). They added a nice porch this summer where we got to enjoy some local acoustic music, which made for a great break after shopping in the quaint town of Nashville. The owners are a married couple and will make you feel right at home. Love spending the day in Nashville and ending it at Salt Creek!
