Sal's Famous Pizzeria

My family loves Sal's. We drive in from Zionsville when we can to enjoy the food. The ambiance is nice with an authentic feel. You can catch some Dean Martin playing in the background.

Rough start when Tthe link to order food was broken. I had to add the .com to the end of it. Then I could no longer select the sauce I wanted with my garlic rolls. I could add an additional sauce for more money though. So I put in the comment section I'd like the cheese sauce. I got garlic butter and marinara. No cheese. Apparently now at the Brownsburg location you have to pay money for the soup or salad with your entree, but at Plainfield you do not. The final straw was when the door dash pickup person cut in front of the line to get his order, and when I spoke up to say something, the staff continued to look for his food while mine was sitting behind the glass.

Sal's is such a great place for pizza and more! Their food is delicious and their pizza is my favorite. There's lots of space too! They're always helpful--even bringing a to go order to our car window because I had sleeping kids. They go above and beyond!!

My husband was craving Italian. We ordered carry out on Saturday evening. Our order was ready at the time promised. The food was very tasty and decent sized portions. The spaghetti could have used a bit more sauce but good and not overcooked. The meatballs were very good and tasted like they had NOT been previously frozen. Inside felt like an Italian restaurant from my childhood.

This Sal's is located in Brownsvurg in a strip mall with other shops close by. We have been to their Plainfield restaurant multiple times and their food tastes amazingly delicious in both the locations. Their service is great. The ambiance was good and the place was average noisy. They have dine in and carry out options. They have some vegetarian options too. Although, when we asked for vegetarian Calzone without mushrooms, they said it is prepared ahead and mushrooms go with it. That was a bummer. But the pizza and lasagna we ordered were tasty and the portion was just perfect. This is a must visit place. They have a big parking lot in this mall and is a family friendly and business casual restaurant. Also, I am unaware if all the restaurants do this but if paid with cash, the prize is different and when paid with card the prize is $2 more. I am assuming this is for the credit card fees that they have to incur. But I could be wrong.

Just moved to the area and happened to discover Sal's. Ordered a simple 16" cheese wood fired pizza and some cheesecake through doordash. I would probably post a pic but I ate the whole damn thing. Cooked perfectly. Not over cheesed. Just simple & delicious. Planning on bringing the crew in for dinner next week. Sal's is my new place for pizza and probably cheesecake too.

Nice ambiance, great service, food is just ok.Decided to try the sit down experience at Sal's. They have a beautiful Italian themed room....lots of old pictures on the wall. I ordered just basic spaghetti and meatballs. The red sauce was a little too acidic and almost sour. Wasnt awful but wasnt great either. Service was prompt and friendly.

We tried this on a whim and it was fantastic. The garlic rolls are very cheesy, the pizza has a great amount of toppings, and overall great flavor. When it go in to pickup, the service is always friendly.

We have eaten in the restaurant and the food is usually good. Our recent orders have been pizza takeout and it can vary sometimes it's good and sometimes it's cold and like cardboard..

We had a pick up order.. the pizza was definitely not fire baked, not much sauce or cheese, mostly raw vegetables undercooked. The Pasta e fagioli only had about 10 beans in it lit and was mostly broth or soup base. One of the pasta dishes had cold deli meat ham cut up in it. In my opinion, the food is not worth the price. There are better options for pizza in town otherwise,, the Service and Ambiance was adequate.
