Sakura Japanese Hibachi & Sushi

OMG what a surprise, Sakura Japanese hibachi at state road 135 and smoky Rowe Road in the Kroger shopping strip Greenwood IN opened up recently, so the wife and I stopped in for lunch. I gave it a five because it has a tremendous price to taste ratio. We had shrimp with fried rice. It comes with hot soup. We split it and it was absolutely amazing enough for both of us to be completely stuffed. you'll just have to try it. We will definitely be back. The Inside is pretty small and the decor is sparse, but it's really clean. The service was top-notch even though you ordered at the counter, I would define this place as more of a takeout place, with an option to dine in. you get served on paper plates, and plastic spoons which I'm not a big fan of, but like I said, the food was absolutely amazing. I would put them up against the most lavish of Japanese grills food vs food.

*During covid they are pick up only and they meet you at their door. I called in 8 different rolls to let my friend try sushi. She is vegetarian, so we tried sweet potato roll, an avocado and cream cheese roll and a California roll. My personal favorite is the dragon roll and I tried a tuna roll. Four of us split all the food. It was well labeled, the take out was organized and they included chopsticks and napkins. We LOVED the sweet potato roll. Even though we didn't dine in it made an awesome night at home dinner! Great experience.

Went to Sakura during be covid-19 crisis to pick up an order that I called in. They had it a table in the vestibule blocking the door with a sign that said stop. On the table they had a bin to drop your credit card in and another bin for your receipts. They communicated through the glass door. They open the door only enough to get your credit card and only enough to squeeze the bags out to you.I ordered quite a bit of items so I had two bags. I ordered that harumaki, the guyoza, a side salad, tom yum soup, shrimp tempura, Hibachi Steak and scallop meal, and sexy jalapeno. Everything was nice and hot I did not have to reheat anyting. I was completely unimpressed with their salad and it was soaking wet left a puddle of water in the bottom of the container. Everything else that we ordered was pretty good the only other item to note that wasn't good was the rice that came with the hibachi meal was a little mushy. I will warn you the sexy jalapeno is almost raw jalapeno so if you don't like the heat don't order these. The harumaki was my favorite.

My BF and I shared the Sakura for Two hibachi meal. The meal started with soup and salad then hibachi grilled chicken, steak, salmon, shrimp, and scallops plus veggies and fried rice. It was so much food, we each got two meals out of it. Definitely want to tey their sushi next time.

Got food poisoning last time I ate here. I was violently sick for days! Service was okay, but do not recommend.

A 5 star sushi restaurant in Rushville, Indiana? Honestly, I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised.We have been here twice, and tried a few different rolls. My two favorites are the Godzilla Roll, and the Spiderman roll. (there might be a theme here)Service is stellar, and both times we've got the feeling they sincerely appreciated our business.I've got to say a word about the food presentation. They do a fantastic job of presenting the food on the plates. Not only is it delicious, it's also beautiful to look at. We're fans.

Great sushi! My wife and I love takeout. I say takeout because their dining room is on and off open/closed, but it never discourages us to enjoy their menu!

Never in a million years would I have thought that I would find a place like this in Rushville! I am a huge fan of sushi and sashimi, and Sakura does not disappoint! I came here with a good friend and we purchased a variety of rolls to share. They were all presented beautifully, fresh, and delicious!

This location is currently doing take-out only.Today I ordered the hibachi chicken and shrimp, along with a California roll.The order was all there with extras included.The California roll was perfect.The fried rice, hibachi vegetables, soup and salad were on point.Only giving 3 stars because the chicken and shrimp were so unfortunately dry and rubbery.

We were in town for a basketball game and stopped in for dinner. Everything was excellent. The food was hot and fresh, the service was great. We ordered the chicken hibachi with veggies and rice. The portions are plentiful and so good! Would not hesitate to eat here again.
