It's no secret that I tend to have a lot of love for Sahm's establishments. Sahm's consistently offers a winning combination of pleasing atmosphere, genuine hospitality, quality food, and fair prices. I'll be the first to admit that there are some spots I prefer more than others. However, I don't think I've ever had a negative experience with Sahm's and I'm about 100% confident if I did it would be fairly addressed. I'd been wanting to check out their latest home in the Irvington area on East Washington Street in the spot most recently vacated by Scarlet Lane. Sahm's came in and definitely made it all their own. Truthfully, this particularly location can be challenging for me as a wheelchair user as Irvington has its share of accessibility issues and parking (either on the street - a definite no for a wheelchair user - or in the back of the building) can be super challenging. In fact, I've driven here a couple times hoping to visit Sahm's but had to leave because I couldn't find accessible parking. That's what happens when you combine a historic neighborhood with a multi-restaurant building. However, I finally made it and I'd have to say it was worth the wait. If you're from Indy, you know the Sahm family name. It was in 1986 that Ed Sahm started Indiana-based chain that ranges from sports bar to brunch joints to pizza places to more. Sahm's Tavern & Sports Bar leans into the sports bar-theme with pretty much the full Sahm's menu. It's quite impressive. This location can be accessed on either side of the building, though both are a little tricky in my opinion (again, as a wheelchair user). Sahm's has long been aware of accessibility issues and I'm always impressed with how they make tight spaces work. It did feel like they opened this up a bit.As is always true of Sahm's, employees are friendly and helpful. and there's a definite great vibe here. The food shareables, salads/soups, entrees, burgers, house specialties, handhelds, Pittsburgh-style steaks (I'll openly confess I have no idea what this means), a kids menu, some desserts, etc. Of course, this is a bar and you can get brews, wine, ciders, cocktails, etc. Sahm's does own Big Lug Brewery - so, you should expect an emphasis on Big Lug. I tend to go with a burger option, a tenderloin option, or fish & chips. I've also tried the meatloaf - awesome. Sahm's has a VIP program. They do catering. You can order online. While parking will definitely impact my ability to visit here, this is definitely a spot I'll return to as it's pretty close to my home and in a neighborhood I enjoy. There's a cool gift shop in the same building, Irvington Branch Library across the street, and The Irving within a block. This is another winner in the Sahm's family and I do look forward to returning.

When this location first opened, the food was much higher quality than what it's been recently. The quality is inconsistent lately and I've had some dishes that are just bad, like some inedible fish.Other than the food, everything is great. Cool decor, good vibes and good service.

We've been to Sahm's a few times now since it's moved into the neighborhood. Each time has been a great experience. It's right there on East Washington Street, in the main drag of Irvington. It's a great spot to go to for lunch while shopping around, or dinner. The inside of the place feels a lot bigger than it ever used to, with lots of TVs around to watch if that's why you're there. The staff is super friendly and fast. We've tried a few things on the vast menu, and so far everything has been a hit! My partner really likes the breaded pork tenderloin, and I've had the cheeseburger Mac. We've also had the My Boy Bleu burger and the fish and chips. The artichoke dip was really creamy and cheesy. For sides, you can't beat the fries, as they are so crispy and fresh, and the hot honey Brussels sprouts are what dreams are made of. Everything has been delicious. The portions are pretty large, so plan on taking leftovers (or don't, I won't tell you how to live your life). We can easily split a meal as well. I have become a huge fan of their espresso martini, and their old fashioned was really good as well. There is plenty of parking in the back that is for the whole plaza, so that has never been an issue. All in all, I'm really happy Sahm's has moved in and we plan on going back very frequently to try more of their giant menu.

Wish I grabbed a pic but I had the special sirloin burrito bowl, and it was absolutely perfect flavor and good quality meat... With tortilla strips adding a nice crunch. So yummy! It really was special... Hope it's on the menu again soon!

Finally a place that I believe will be an institution in Irvington. I was very happy with the service and atmosphere of the bar, this is a place to hangout with the locals. +4000 for having Coors Banquet on tap, will definitely a draw for me. Wings were some of the best I've had in Indy, the hot style is no joke, I had to put them down after a few . Will definitely be back for more food and drinks!

Anything Sahm's is good! This location has some of the best nachos!! Sahm's has a been a staple in Indianapolis with multiple restaurants owned by Sahm's Hospitality Group. This location recently opened in Irvington. This has a nice hometown feel to it. Very welcoming and inviting with tvs playing sports as well as sports memorabilia throughout. I would highly recommend the nachos!!! They didn't skimp on toppings. Every chip had enough of the good toppings on it!! Can't wait to go back and get them again!! Yay Sahm's!

Ate here on black Friday with my husband and we were able to get a decently private table ans the server was amazing. We had service the eentire time and our food was amazing. The flavor was great and serving size was on the larger amount. The restaurant is open, however, if you enjoy your privacy, there are tables for you as well

We are proud east-siders and we are so grateful to have a great dinner spot just up the road! Tonight we took our out-of-town friend to Sahm's. I had the pork tenderloin with fries and it was crispy and delicious! The bun was perfectly sized and fluffy. Jason, our waiter, was FANTASTIC! He was very attentive and funny. Altogether, it was exactly the experience we were hoping for! We'll be back again soon!

This place is just what Dr. Irvington ordered, what a great addition to the Eastside! The atmosphere is amazing, the staff is excellent, and the beer is ice cold!! They offer a large, wide ranging menu. The stuffed mushroom caps are delicious! The tenderloin is hand breaded but a little on the thinner side, however the flavor is great! We also tried the mini veggie cigars, what a creative appetizer and very good! If you're in the area and wanna catch a sports game stop in and say hello.
