Sahm's Catering

They did a phenomenal job feeding our wedding guests. Planning a wedding from across the country is a daunting task but I was very happy to find such a fantastic catering company who made it a lot easier than it could have been. They were easy to get ahold of. I wanted fresh tasting vegetarian options and the groom wanted classic timeless feel to the whole wedding, including the food. Sahm's made both of us very happy, For the vegetarian fare, we chose the roasted red pepper and goat cheese bruschetta, tortellini caprice kabobs, and the standout for me was their spinach stuffed mushroom caps. The groom was particularly impressed with the shrimp cocktail and the scallop rumaki.

We went with the bbq buffet for our wedding meal. Shelby did a great job communicating with me throughout the planning process. The employees were very professional at the event. Above all the food was great. Green bean casserole was a bit hit. Plenty of options on the catering menu to choose from. They were also good about providing gluten free meals for my guests who have celiac disease.

They catered our Christmas dinner for 10 people and they were the only caterers I could find that would do a dinner for such a small party near Christmas Day. They cooked and delivered our food the night before Christmas and gave us excellent reheating directions. The pork & chicken were moist and remained moist even after refrigeration and reheating. They packaged the sauces separate so they were fresh. The price was incredible for such unique dishes. The delivery gentleman was helpful and packaged all the food in a large professional heating unit, so if food was ordered and served right away, it would be hot and fresh. We will use them for every Christmas and events we host.

We used Sahm's to cater our daughter's birthday party at the IYC. I worked with the catering coordinator over email and we went back and forth several times on some details, and she was attentive and helpful each time. The day of the event, Sahm's arrived about ten minutes early for the drop-off. I had prepped the food table earlier with tablecloths and some decorations hoping I could perfect the layout when they were finished... when I came back later, the Sahm's employee had arranged the food perfectly AND set up my decorations artfully all around it! He definitely went above and beyond and we hadn't even tasted anything yet! The food itself was delicious... several of our guests asked if/where they could purchase the vinaigrette pasta salad by the pound. Everything was fresh and tasty, and exactly as ordered. Would highly recommend them for any event!

I needed to order lunch for 8 people on fairly short notice to be delivered to Community Hospital Anderson where I was hosting some clients. It was extremely easy working with Sahm's catering. Shelby was very helpful and efficient. Our lunch was delivered on time, portions were huge and everything was tasty. If I am in the Indy area again on business I would not hesitate to order from Sahm's or visit one of their sit down restaurants.

What a disappointment. I hired Sahm's to cater our business Christmas luncheon. They confirmed our menu but when they arrived we discovered that one of the entrees had been substituted without our knowledge or approval. The fact was they thought they could slip something by us by substituting a less desirable option hoping that we wouldn't notice. I've personally been a customer of Sahm's for over 20 years and I'll never spend another dime in any of their restaurants. This is no way to treat an individual, much less a corporate customer spending hundreds of dollars on a catered event. It does make one wonder what else they try and get away with when the customer isn't watching.

We had Sahm's Catering provide Soft Taco Salad Bar at Welcome Dinner on last Friday for our daughter's wedding. Their set up/presentation, food and service was exceptional. Our guests were extremely happy and very well satisfied with their food.

What a nightmare. I hired Sahm's to cater my daughter's birthday party last weekend and my experience could not have been worse. First of all they did not deliver the food on time. Delivery was scheduled at 1:30, they finally showed up at 1:50 to begin setting up 10 minutes before the party began. Therefore they were still setting up when guests began arriving at 2:00. Something I could overlook but it just went downhill from there. We ordered the picnic buffet: hamburgers, hot dogs, and 3 sides plus all condiments. Unfortunately since my party was already in full swing when I was asked to sign off on the order before they left, I did not take a full inventory of the order. I saw the 3 sides, 2 large bowls full of hamburger and hot dog buns, and all the condiments. So I signed off and left a tip and they were off. By the time we all went to serve ourselves the food we realized there were no hot dogs! All the buns, relish, chopped onions, ketchup, mustard, and NO HOT DOGS! You literally had one job. Of course no one at Sahm's Catering will take your call on a Saturday. We even called one of the restaurants and were told no one could help us because they were busy with a wedding (aka we didn't spend enough money to be deemed important). My husband finally received a call back on Monday saying we would receive a 50% refund. Not even close to worth it when you left out the main entree of our 30 person catering order. Also the hamburgers sucked. Not to mention all the wasted buns and condiments we couldn't use. The icing on the cake is as on today (Tuesday morning) all of their service ware is still sitting in my backyard. According to our contract, it was to be picked up no later than Monday. In conclusion, don't make the same mistake we did wasting money here. We were basically scammed out of what we paid for according to our contract and the food we did receive was just below mediocre.

If i had to choose between Sahm's Catering and trash, I would eat the trash. Catered to our location for a week straight, and 4 of the 5 meals were frankly disappointing.
