Hate to do it but they went from 5 stars down to 1 star great food and service the first time couldn't say enough about how great this place was. Nope I was wrong had the chicken wrap again the second time Horrible completely drenched in oil couldn't eat it they didn't offer to fix it or anything very very disappointing. Didn't ask if we would like refills very sad to say we probably won't be back again

Rugie's Dugout will catch your eye from the outside and then knock you out by what they're offering you inside. They have all the... ahem... bases covered here!We stopped in with a small group (11 of us) around 7:00p on a Friday and secured the last two tables available. The service was a tad slow from the get-go but when our waitress came around for drink orders it was firing it all cylinders! (I wish I could remember her name but she did say her sister owns the place) She was an absolute pro and took care of everything we could've asked for without hesitation. She was a treat! Oh, and I feel like she created their POS system b/c she knew how to make that thing bend to her will!The menu seems small but it is packed with all kinds of things that anyone would be able to find something. I went with the Mango Habanero wings and they were delicious! Someone else went with the Home Run sandwich and raved about it. Needless to say, everyone was more than happy with their orders!The dining room was also a pleasant experience. Not quiet but also not loud, the perfect amount of ambiance to feel like a typical sports bar (with more restaurant feel than bar). There are ample tables of all sizes and plenty of TVs, plus a jukebox (which was turned off for "dinner time", which was perfect).We absolutely loved our experience at Rugie's and cannot wait to return again next time we're in the area.

This has the be one if the best places in Monticello!!!Pizza is out of this world! It was my son's birthday and they brought him a delicious cookie dessert!!Menu has many options and unique dishes. Full bar with family friendly environment. Tons of parking and easy to find location. If you are in Monticello, make sure Rugie's is on your list!

I love this place. We have a summer trailer and I make it a point to stop here multiple times a summer. Their pizza is up there with some of my favs in the Chicagoland area! Cant wait to be back in Monticello and hit it up!

I adore their appetizer menu! The staff is always great and definitely on top of their game! Great arcade for families in the back as well! Atmosphere is very inviting!

Took a detour coming back from Indiana from a baseball game . My so. Said let's try a local spot . Skeptical at first since we are a bunch of tourists middle of no where , we tried out this spot Amazing and welcoming service Try out if you are passing by doing Chicago Indiana route

Full menu and drinks! Staff is professional and helpful. Atmosphere is very causal. Pizza is absolutely loaded with cheese! Great sandwiches and onion rings

The service here is top notch! A group of 6 adults and 5 children was easily accommodated. Our waitress was attentive and efficient. The food was great! Pizza and wings were cooked perfectly. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great family place with excellent food.

Love this place! Pizza is amazing. Takes a while because it's worth it. Staff has always been very pleasant, and food is better than expected. Not the case many places these days.
