This park is very nice. It is clean and well maintained. They have everything you could possible want in a park. They have a huge private parking lot, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, sand volleyball courts, basketball courts, pavilions, a splash pad and playground area. There is 2 full basketball courts. The courts are nice. The baseball fields are better than some college teams'. They even have a batting/pitching cage. There are two open field areas, one of which has soccer goals. There is two playground areas on site. One for older kids and the other for smaller ones. The playgrounds are right next to each other and both have new equipment. The older kid playground has swings, a huge jungle gym tower and a contraption that looks like a boat and rocks. The younger kid playground also has swings and a smaller jungle gym. There is a covered pavilion with picnic tables that is near both playgrounds. many parents were sitting there hanging out while their kids were on the playground. There is also another covered pavilion with picnic tables that is off in the distance. Additionally, there are a few picnic tables scattered across the park. The soccer field has two nice nets and there is tons of other open space that can be used for activities such as football, frisbee, and kite flying. The central part of the park is a building that can be rented out for events and has public restroom facilitiesThere are two well maintained sand volleyball courts right next to each other in the back of the park. The park has a marvelous 1.25 mile paved walking/jogging/running/hiking trail. Part of the trail has story boards spaced along it for kids to read as they walk along it.This is a very nice park in Fishers. It is well maintained, very clean, spacious and has everything you want in a park. Kona Ice even had their truck out there while I was there, selling frozen ice. I enjoyed my time here. My only caution is that the park can get packed, especially the playground area. And some of the people there are not good at park etiquette such as the woman that had her dog off the leash while holding her little child and playing catch. The dog was all over the place and running up to people. This park is not very peaceful. The playground was booming during my visit and was extremely loud. If some soothing "me" time is what you are looking for then you may want to find another park.I highly recommend this park. You are guaranteed to find something to do and your little one will just love this place.

Holland is easily my favorite park in the city. Before I moved to Fishers I would drive from Castleton just to use their walking trails. The landscaping and facilities are well kept and clean. The trail is easy to follow and can be shorter or longer depending on direction. Neighbors are always smiling and waving. Parking is plentiful and easy. There are volleyball, baseball and basketball courts and lots of shade and picnic areas. I love that I can pop in my headphones and walk for miles and feel safe and comfortable!

This is a really nicely designed and well maintained playground. Indoor bathrooms were available. The play equipment has variations for all ages, plus an accessible glider that can be used by those in a wheelchair. There is a frisbee golf course in an adjacent grove of trees, with frisbee available for kids to borrow.

This park has a good playground for kids. My daughter loves climbing things and the structures here really satisfy that urge of hers.

This park has everything you are looking for! Large grassy fields for running, kite flying frisbees, and more. Also two separate play areas for the older and younger kids. There are tons of interactive equipment pieces for kids and parents to enjoy. My favorite is this seesaw type contraption that requires some participants to sit in a cab-type area while others stand around the outside and rock the cab to and fro. Tons of seating if you want to watch your kids play. Another plus, during the summer months, there is a splash pad open. There are numerous hand sanitizing stations around the playground areas, and they were all filled when I was there. Now if this is your first time traveling to Roy G Park, that it is in the middle of a neighborhood, so it will look like you are heading in the wrong direction, but the park is literally in the middle of the neighborhood area.

I read somewhere that this is THE park to go to in Fishers, so of course we had to visit. Everyone must have read the same thing I did, because on the day we were here, there were SO many people! So depending on how much you like other people and other people's kids, your mileage may vary here. This would definitely be a good place for a kid to meet a new friend. The play structure is gigantic, and is divided into two sections: one for toddlers and one for bigger kids. The toddler section has ramps to walk up, monkey bars, two slides, a rope spider web thing, and some hidey-hole tunnels to crawl under. The big-kid section has fast twisty slides, a rock wall, a big fort, poles to slide down and another spider web to climb up. Of course, there are swings, although I didn't see any baby swings, so that's a bummer. There were two chair swings, though, so depending on how well your baby can sit, he or she might enjoy the chair swings.Right off of the playground is a bank of picnic tables under a shaded atrium, as well as benches all around the playground. The playground area is covered with wood chips, not sand. But fear not, sand lovers! A short walk away from the playground is a huge double volleyball court filled with sand. The kids played quite a while at this "beach" (their words). Of course, you probably shouldn't play here while people are actually PLAYING volleyball, but the sand is so nice and perfect for making sand castles, so it's hard to resist. All around the park is a walking path; there's also a soccer field and baseball field, as well as just a whole lot of open space to run or fly a kite. This is a nice park.

Was looking for a new park to take my toddler to and found this one on Yelp. Was very pleased with our experience there. Nestled in to a residential area, the area itself was pretty quiet. The play area had a set for younger kids, and a bigger one for older kids. Felt both offered a good variety of things for kids to play on. In addition, there were soccer goals, sand volleyball and a baseball diamond. The bathrooms were very clean, which was a nice surprise for being in a public park. Would highly recommend!

This park has it all. If our visit wasn't spur of the moment and I didn't happen to have a dress on, I would have been crawling all over the ropes and rock climbing wall like a big kid. It was a very clean park and there was plenty to do between the big kid jungle gym, little kid jungle gym and splash park. My two year old had so much fun on any activity that we brought him to. And it was a hot one today, around 90 degrees, so after playground time, we let him run through the water to cool off.I just have a couple complaints. I'm from Arizona so we take sun safety serious. Even though Indiana doesn't reach 110 degree temperatures, I still believe that the playgrounds (or at least part of them) should be shaded. The only time the kids are shaded is when they are climbing the ladders to go down the slides. The parents don't have any shade either unless they are where the picnic tables are (outside eye view of most parts of the playground). Also it was pretty crowded and it was only a Wednesday. I could only imagine if it was a weekend. I do plan on going back here with my son...but we will most likely check the forecast first to make sure the sun won't be blaring down on us.

Just west of the business district on 116th street is Park Drive which leads you into a circular 34 acre park. The park has so many activities that it doesn't matter your age, you might feel like a kid again! There is plenty of parking on the south side of the circle (it is the only side for entrance). In the middle, there is a building that has the restrooms and water fountains. To describe the park, imagine the park as a clock with the park entrance being where the "6" is on the clock. On the outer perimeter at 7, there are a couple basketball courts. At 8 through 12 is a baseball park with its own concession and restroom stand. From 1 to 3 is a wooded area with its own shelter and picnic tables. And from 4 to 6 is a soccer field. There is also a large perimeter sidewalk for hikers to loop around all these features. But if you have little kids, you may not even notice all those activities I just listed. Right next to the central building is the playground. It appears there may be a flat water feature on the approach to a shelter. (The water wasn't present during my early April visit, but there are holes that look like they could be either water jets or collection points.)Beyond that is a spectacular playground with lots of vertical pieces which make for long tubular sliding! But if your kids are afraid of heights, there are still many other pieces including swings and other climbing features. The most unique piece I found looks like an elevated and enclosed seating area with two benches facing each other. There is a ramp that leads into the center of the piece that allows wheel chair access. I couldn't figure out what the piece was at first, and then I saw the flaps behind the benches where friends could stand and use their weight to rock the seats in between. Sure, you need friends to play with, but with all the kids in the park, it didn't seem like it would be hard to encourage others to play here. (See my photo to help you understand what it looks like.)The equipment is pretty new having replaced the original equipment of the park. The landscaping and maintenance of the park was maintained as well. This park is a great addition to the Fishers park system.Review #797
