We were excited to try this, Italian is our favorite. We make fresh pasta at home frequently and we love going to Maialina or Mama Corollas when we want quality fresh made pasta. This was not it. For $20-$25 (no protein) a plate I expect fresh pasta. I got the gnocchi and it was rubbery, I've had fresh plenty of times and it should be pillowy and melt in your mouth. Boyfriend got the Alfredo. He said the sauce tasted canned and when I tasted it, it definitely seemed that way, impossible it was handmade. the noodles were also clearly dry boxed. The saving grace was the meatballs, 3 that were very tender and the sauce, ricotta and bread were great. But after eating the main course I questioned whether those were even made fresh. The service was good, but I did not appreciate being called an hour before the reservation to confirm when I had already confirmed via text message earlier in the day,

This place has been open for about 7 months now and I finally got a chance to pop in. My husband and I were actually waiting for a reservation from a restaurant down the block and had some time to kill - the perfect opportunity to grab a drink at the bar. We did only drink, so I can't speak to the food but the bar is really close to the kitchen and the SMELLS. The meatballs, the red sauce, the calamari...it was all so fragrant that it had me questioning if we ditch our previous reservations and eat immediately. I have bumped this place up on my list of Italian places to eat next. The prices seemed so reasonable too that I'm gonna try so many things on the menu! Our bartender David was super friendly and personable to chat with - stop by and see him!

My husband and I decided last minute on the Saturday of Valentines weekend to go out to dinner. We were able to look for reservations on Yelp and get a table for 7:15! Super convenient and easy. Now of course the area was packed so it was tricky finding parking. My husband dropped me off at the door and I got our table and sat down promptly. Our waitress was so quick that I had a drink and ordered an appetizer all before my husband came in. We ordered the burrata, clam with linguine, pesto gnocchi, and the lemon cake. The burrata was excellent. The tomatoes were seasoned nicely and the olive oil and balsamic were quality not to mention the burrata that melted into your mouth. Both of our meals were solid. I planned on getting the ravioli but they were out so it gives me an easy excuse to come back. The lemon cake was a refreshing treat to end the meal.

We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation. The host informed us we would not be seated until everyone in our party was present. We explained there was no parking available anywhere near by. He then told us if they didn't arrive in 15 minutes that we would lose our reservation. I explained how far they had to go to find parking but that didn't seem to matter. It wasn't a good start. There is no waiting area so if you are seated near the hostess stand you may have people waiting next to your table especially with their policy of not seating a party till everyone is present and the horrendous parking situation. The restaurant does have pleasant decor, but is extremely loud. This is definitely not a quiet restaurant. The baked ricotta is good but it needs twice the amount of bread that comes with the order. All of our meals were good but after the rough start at the hostess stand and the noise level I can say I won't be in a hurry to go back. One last thing... they don't offer the devour menu. You must ask for it.

We visited Rosemary and Olive for the first time with a group and loved it. We tried the gnocchi, spaghetti, ravioli, and creste di gallo and everyone was very happy with their meal choice. We also shared the baked ricotta and loved it so much that we had to order a second round. The service and atmosphere matched the quality of the food and we all plan to return soon!

Not sure what to rate this place I think it's a solid 3.5/5. Here's why:Rosemary & Olives offers a simple but mindful array of Italian dishes. My first time visiting was better than my second. I ordered the chicken piccata and my husband ordered the fettuccini with chicken. We started with the baked ricotta. The baked ricotta was delicious but they only serve it with four slices of bread. If you want more bread you'll have to pay for it. Three dollars for 4 slivers of bread is insane. My husband's fettuccine was okay. He said it wasn't the best he'd had and his chicken had a fishy flavor as if they cooked it in the same skillet as fish. The chicken piccata was not your traditional piccata. The sauce was clumpy. The texture was extremely off putting. Fortunately for me they offered to make me something else. We ended the meal with a slice of Italian lemon cream cake. This cake is absolutely delicious and I will be back for it. There are better Italian restaurants downtown but if you can't get in one of them, this will do.

Service was excellent, food was okay - pasta was slightly overcooked although flavor was good. Was slightly noisy making it difficult to hear everyone in the party.

Let's talk about Mass Ave. I've always said it needed an Italian restaurant, and Rosemary & Olive have delivered. Stopped in on a rainy Thursday November evening and snagged a seat at the bar. This building has high ceilings and a big open space, so expect it to be a little louder than you may expect. For me, it wasn't loud but instead created an energetic vibe. I had the beef short rib ravioli for my dinner. The food was delicious, but the midwesterner in me would have liked to see a little more short rib in the dish, especially for the price. I'll be back to try and few of the other items on the menu soon. Hope to seeyou there!

We met friends at Rosemary & Olive for dinner and everyone loved the food. This was my 2nd time ordering the Short Rib Ravioli and my husband had the Creste di Gallo with Shrimp. Both were amazing! Our friends raved about the Spaghetti Pomodoro and Fettucine Alfredo as well. I can't recommend this place enough!
