Wonderful little bar with all of the old fashioned perks but a very powerful musky smoking smells I had completely forgotten about since most places have adjusted to the current climate. The staff seemed a little disorganized and unsure about drinks but eventually figured out they could make my buddy an Irish Coffee and brought me a tap Angry Orchard, always better than a bottle! The Irish coffee was extremely whiskey heavy without much coffee or other ingredients to balance out the large amount of alcohol. He was unable to drink more than a few sips. I ordered the tachos and discovered them to be very well priced, tasty, well-made, and loaded with all the right toppings - check out the photo! My friend got the mozzarella sticks, similarly well done and easy to put em all down quickly. I have heard good things about this place especially the burgers but have also heard to avoid the wings. It's an old school slightly Western feel with the typical assortment of beer wall decoration and TVs. wish I could recommend especially for the great value and variety on the menu but my nose was twitching by the end of my meal due to the odors.

Place is cool. The over weight security at the door is a little off putting as it's not a strip club or dance club not sure what that's about. But this is a little bar, didn't try there food, drinks were alright. The TVs are a little blurry or not clear. The bar tenders were starring at me and my friend the whole time in a weird way. Idk just got a weird vibe from this place. They could lighten up a little for sure.

Rookies is a new sports bar on State Road 38 by the Tippecanoe Mall. Inside is roomy and inviting, not cluttered. The bar area is separated from the dining area by a waist high wall. The bar appears to be smoking and the dining are non-smoking, but there is nothing to prevent smoke from wafting through the room. I went here for lunch, there was one other table of patrons, no one was smoking, and it still smelled like smoke. The smoking policy alone will keep me from coming back. There are an ample number of TVs that can be seen from all areas of the bar. For those of you who don't mind smoke, or do smoke, Rookies has a basic pub-style menu of salads, sandwiches, pizzas and wings. I had a catfish sandwich. The filet had a cornmeal breading that was light and crunchy, and can be served on your choice of bread. The tartar sauce appeared to be homemade and it is tasty. Sandwiches come with chips that are thick and crunchy. Fries are extra. I really enjoyed the meal, but I have to knock it down a star for the smoke. Sorry, I don't like smoky bars.

A cool looking dive bar with good attention detailed staff walking and making rounds as this diverse seating small strip mall bar with a unique vibe This bar has a neighborhood feel and was crowded on a Sunday night with plenty of TV screens for sports and tv. This is not a bad place and as always a better alternative to the big and ubiquitous chains seen across the region

Omg I found a bar that vibes like Cheers! And then Rookies melt omg is the best juiciest most flavorful burger I have ever put in my mouth!

No one in the place. Grabbed menu from bartender and she said I could sit outside. Waited and waited and she never came out with my water or took my order. Had to leave. No apology as I walked out past her. Abysmal attitude and similar service from bartender.

I come in here often to watch the games. I've always had very friendly service and amazing wings. They have several selections of sauces to choose from. I like the buffalo and garlic parmesan. Also, for a smoking bar it's actually not bad in there to breathe. I'd recommend Rookies to anyone that likes wings and good service.

Been here several times and have never had a problem with service. The staff has always been friendly and attentive. It is a smoking bar but I find it to be well ventilated. The smoke doesn't just hang in the air. On to the food...great burgers. Homemade pretzel buns, homemade potato chips, homemade fries. Pizza and wings are also well done. Really hope this place sticks around for a while.

All the bartender was worried about was plaing the jukebox and checking his cell phone . Females got all the attention I just wanted cold beer and a meal.

Food is very good Burgers, Pizza ectNice sports bar atmosphere.Service has always been good.
