The fairways are like cow pastures. Grass is tall and very bumpy. Your ball goes nowhere. The greens aren't so bad though.
Come out and check out Rolling Meadows Golf Club! Mulligan's opening April 1!

Played this course with my two sons on a Saturday morning in early August and really enjoyed it. The price was nice at $40, well stocked club house with very friendly staff. Carts have GPS. There is an irons only driving range. Be sure and grab a hot dog from the clubhouse at the turn as they were jumbo and delicious. And the restaurant served us a great lunch after the round. Now for the course and I'll start with the negatives. The fairways are tees are spotty. But in our minds that's the only negatives at this course. The greens were in tip-top condition and a little on the slow side due to keeping them longer to combat summer heat. It was fun to play. The front takes you more through the hills and woods and the back a little more open. But the course is fair with fairways wide enough to hit for even the less skilled player. The course has blind shots, open shots, uphill lies and down hill lies, short holes, long holes, water lined holes, holes you carry over water, you get it-a wide variety of shots that made every hole different. As I remember there were five sets of tees. My sons played gold and I played silver which put my drives about the same distance as theirs. The silver tees made a couple of the holes pretty short. My next visit, and we will play there again soon, I might try teeing it up from the white tees. Pace of play was good with a ranger monitoring play. The three of us had a very enjoyable round and I highly endorse a visit to this southern Indiana golf course.

I like Rolling Meadows because the length of the course is driveable. As my experience has increased my driving distance has decreased. Interesting holes especially on the back 9. A driving range with affordable balls where you can use your woods. The restaurant, Mulligan's, is friendly and inexpensive.

Can I tell you the first 9 holes of this course make it in my opinion the best golf course I have played in Indiana. Overall, the back 9 loses some sparkle, but makes up for it with an island green Par 3 a la TPC at Sawgrass, and a vast Par 5 18th that literally swallows you up with vastness and terrain. This course was designed by Tim Liddy, protege of Pete Dye, the famous golf course designer from Indiana (who designed TPC at Sawgrass). This course has everything: vast park type holes, classic meandering links holes, clever Par 3's, challenging holes that force the player over water, uphill, and over chasms, and just some nearly perfect par 5's that seem to swallow you up and hide you away from the world. Did I mention the green fees are very reasonable too? Despite the somewhat remote location, around 40 miles south of Indianapolis, this course is worth the trip. Try it for yourself.

I have tried and tried to have a good time there and in the last 5-6 years I haven't been able to do so. It all started when I had a few friends down (60) miles away down to play golf. We played 18 holes and stopped to eat lunch and play another 18. While we were eating the manager came into the restaurant and said they needed our cart turned back in. So unscheduled group from IU showed up and wanted to play, so guess who lost out. Then I called to play 18 by myself, the phone was answered and ask to hold. I could hear them talking about who was screwing who and the price on beer and if they didn't like they could go somewhere else to play. They at that time only carried the large ones. No one ever came back to the phone to take care of me. The 21st of July I thought what the hell Ill give it another chance. The course is in ruin. I'm 71 and can't really walk that well but on several greens, I had to walk at least 50 yards to the green. Fairways had a lot of repair strips which is good, but they are not taking care of them either. They also don't give a senior or military discount. I will not advise anyone to ever play there and if you do, good luck with the management. Rick White

Worst golf course I have been to. The fairways are non existent with dirt patches everywhere. The greens are in terrible condition with dead patches everywhere on every green. Even if you hit a drive in the fairway you can expect it to be on a patch of either dirt or shitty grass. The people in the pro shop and rude and patronizing, and dont deserve any business. The only reason we were coming was for the student discount and to rent clubs but now that we have our clubs out here, we are never coming back. If anyone wants to play an actual decent golf course that isnt dead everywhere I would recommend playing cascades golf course. So glad to never be coming back to this shit hole

Horrible Management. The Shop Pro was rude and treated us like we had never been on a golf course after we showed him nothing but respect. The fairways are straight dirt and the greens are patchy. They act like this course is Augusta when's it's quite literally the worst golf course I've ever played on. The only thing he did nicely was rebook our tee time after we showed up a little late which was as very kind. However, his rude attitude and ego made this experience one that I hope no one else has to deal with. Not to mention the lady in the afternoon yelled at us because she thought we were trying to play another 9 holes while in reality we were simply trying to find a club that we had left behind.

Not a place to go if you have bad knees. Always walking up steep hills to tee off. No stairs. They make you walk a mile from the greens. With the fairways this bad the carts wouldn't hurt a thing.

If you plan on playing this course, you should pack a hammer, because the ground is hard you can hardly get a tee in. You are better off hitting everything short, because a decent shot will roll out a mile. I would give this a three star review based off the course, but both times I have come to the course, the bald man behind the counter is so rude it deserves some taken off the top. I know a lot of clubhouse attendants can be finicky, but this guy seems like his everyday purpose is to gain some small amount of power. Save some time, and go to a golf course that plays like a golf course.
