Rocky’s Italian Bistro

A coworker and I drove through Paris, Illinois and searched Yelp for options. We stumbled across Rocky's Italian Bistro and both said we were very pleased with our lunch choice. The ambience is a mixture of a French restaurant meeting an Italian restaurant somehow looking like an American Diner with a menu that had a little of everything. Our server was very attentive even though the restaurant was full and she seemed to be the only server. She was delightful and gave us good recommendations. My coworker ordered a Caprese Panini and a Caesar salad. Obviously this wasn't my recommendation if you've read any of my other reviews! She said it was a great sandwich but wasn't a fan of the homemade chips. I was impressed that she didn't give me the stink eye when I explained my need to photograph her food :)I had the lunch portion of chicken parmesean that was really good. Nice portion of chicken and pasta and a great flavor - I would definitely order it again. Oddly, this came with a side of my choice just like the sandwich menu. I chose a side of fries and they were ok fries. Nothing Earth shattering but not bad. It's a great lunch option at a reasonable price and I'd return if I found myself in the area. Where else can I get a burger, a tenderloin, an order of onion rings and a fettuccine Alfredo all from the same place!?

We went here because it was on the TV dinner for two card. We are from Terre Haute.We got two appetizers. We got caprese and the calamari. Both of these I thought were underwhelming. The caprese didn't had much flavor. It was pretty basic caprese salad. The calamari I thought was also not crunchy enough or super flavorful. For dinner, we my partner had lasagna and I had the crusted chicken skillet. He thought the lasagna was pretty good but not the best he ever had.However, the crusted chicken skillet exceeded all expectations. It was GREAT. Hiighly recommend. The rice is sits on is flavorful and full of good veggies. Then the chicken is thin but juicy and really flavorful as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. With these we got house made chips. They were fine. However, I would get a different side if I went again. They tasted like slightly better potato chips.Service was 10/10. Super quick and attentive. This place has a local vibe. They also had great specials that looked good.

Food and service were a 10! We ordered the sauces and Caprese Salad as an appetizer. I am allergic to pine nuts and made the server aware. The two ladies I was dining with still enjoyed the sauce with pesto and they brought me out another... each of the sauces I tried were yummy!For lunch I had the carbonara, I think it was a meat carbonara. Our server recommended it as it was not on the lunch menu. I could not finish it all. I live out of town, if I return I am definitely visiting again and would 100% recommend.

Don't let the outside of this place fool you. It is in an old drive-in building, but there is a dinning room on the inside and it is nicely decorated. I stopped here for dinner at 5 pm on a Monday and there were only a couple of other tables taken. My very friendly server came right over and took my drink order. I was happy because they have Coke products. When she returned with my drink and complimentary bread sticks, I ordered the Baked Mostaccioli along with a dinner salad. She returned right away with my dinner salad. It was a salad made from Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, croutons, and some cheese. It was fresh and tasty. Shortly after I was finished with my salad, she returned with my meal and it was hot, you could tell it just came out of the oven. The sauce was a little chunky and sweet. It was not too sweet, but it was on the sweet side of pasta sauces. The cheese was good, it just could have used more. I thought this a good meal for the money, and I would stop again if I were ever in the area. Overall a good experience.

Authentic Italian! All the sauces and pastas are made in house! Rocky's creation is a smorgasbord of pasta surf and turf.My favorite was the mushroom ravioli! This place is a treat and worth any drive and I'm from Atlanta!

We were brought here a few weeks ago by our nephew. He did good.We came back tonight and added alcohol this time. Bread sticks are far better than the bead sticks at a chain restaurant that people rave about. Ceasars salad is good, but my not top tossed salad at the other place. Wife loves the fried lasagna. I have been happy moving around the menu. And, I have my choice made for next time. Yep, there will certainly be a next time. Burgundy Steak if you are one of those that needs to see "scenes from our next show". Highly recommend this facility. Prices were reasonable and servers were excellently attentive.

Absolutely amazing food and service. Stayed in Paris for the weekend and stumbled in for lunch. Our server was the sweetest and the food was made with love. Would definitely recommend to anyone passing through Paris or staying!

Food was awesome, atmosphere was great. Service was excellent! So nice to have a place to go that isn't a chain restaurant!!!

Really liked this place! We stopped in thanks to the good reviews and were very pleased!They nicely gave some breadsticks at the start with some whipped butter that had some seasoning in it and it was pretty good. For appetizer, we got a caprese which was pretty good but a bit much on basalmic. We ordered Alfredo with prime rib add on with side of soup and carbonara with side of ceasers salad. That was one of the best ceasers salads ever! And the soup had lots of great chicken and flavor.For entrees, carbonara was very tasty and the alfredo was delicious and very flavorful! The prime rib was decent, but it came more well done and sliced up instead of a medium side of steak like I'd get elsewhere. Have to take a star off for that.For dessert, we split an eclair which was delightful. It had lots of filling with great tasting chocolate icing.Ambiance was easygoing and staff were very nice and helpful! There were lots of amazing-looking foods coming out for other parties so if I ever find myself in the area, I'm definitely coming back to try more!

The service was excellent!! The food was great. I had the grilled pork chops and they were the thickest best tasting ever!! Highly recommend!
