Really enjoyed this restaurant! It is in the casino so you would have something to do while waiting on a table. It is not that big on the inside so best to make a reservation on weekend nights. It is a more upscale feel with an elevated menu. I got the Texan burger and I really liked it! But there is wayyy to much mean on their burger. I had to take a patty off. My boyfriend got the tuna bowl and he loved it! We also got the fried pickles. The pickles are a little sweet on the inside but I really liked that. I also loved the dip. The only thing that could make them better is the breading staying on.

They definitely need a drink menu and the beer selection on draft sucks! Margaritas was $6.75 definitely could have been stronger, I don't recommend the double as they put the same alcohol as a single but charge way more. The food was delicious though, ordered the bbq nachos that were HUGE!! Definitely big enough for 4 to share and the price is on point. The tenderloin with fries was also very tasty as well they new bowls and the quesadillas. I do suggest a pizza option that is smaller for a single diner and also a quesadilla that has chicken!!!Staff was friendly and attentive, I do recommend a reservation as it gets busy.

Conveniently located in the casino adjacent to the hotel, it was easy to grab dinner. Acacia was great - friendly & efficient. The location is clean and bright. Restrooms are out on the casino floor.I had a Cosmo and hubby had a double Ketel One and Cranberry. They looked almost identical and they really shouldn't (see picture) - cosmos should be light pink. Sigh...The food was okay. Hubby ordered the prime rib, medium rare, and it was a solid medium (see picture). I had a cowboy bowl which was tasty, but I needed a steak knife to cut the meat. We did see desserts go by for other customers and they looked delicious. Acacia said they are made in house - yum!

Although I am only giving this spot a 3 star Yelp review, it is simply more of a reflection that our meal was OK, not bad and there is room for improvement, but would go again. Not sure if due to staffing or more likely demand, this restaurant is only open a limited number of evenings. As such, I made a reservation in advance at like 5pm on a Saturday thinking nobody would be there at 5pm and would it be necessary. But when we showed up, the place was packed and there was a line of people waiting on like a waitlist walk up list. If going, make yourself a reservation to ensure you do not have a wait or get turned away all together. The restaurant is not large, can accommodate a party of 2 or larger groups. TV's showing sports, an upgraded bar scene and a corner spot for a musician that seems to be setting up for a night gig. Our waiter was new, so kind of green, but super friendly and doing his best. Many things we asked, he did not know, but was quick to say he would go ask and let us know. I think his name was Brandon or Brendon (sorry I am screwing up this shout out for you). Just like our server, it seemed like Rockwood Bar & Grill is just getting its stride a bit, being so new. My folks both got the Pot Roast Patty Melt and it was greasier than it should have been, although had a nice presentation. My mom got a side of broccoli and it was kind of funny because she said it was like the best broccoli she ever had. LOL! Not drenched in butter and cooked just right. I had a tuna bowl and it was above average all things considered, but not way above average to note more than my 3 Star Yelp review. Only one non-alcoholic option on the menu, a beer. Establishments need to be better on having at least two....it is a new world out there folks. My bar was low on this dining experience, but we were greeted warmly and had a nice experience. Room for improvement, but not a bad experience. I will try to revisit again when I am in Terre Haute.

We have been wanting to try the Rockwood since it opened, but the hours of operation are not very convenient, only open for dinner Wednesday through Sunday. However, they recently decided to expand by opening for lunch on the weekends. Saturday, July 6th was the first lunch service, so we showed up about 11:30a. Perhaps their marketing has not gotten through to the masses because only one other couple were seated when we arrived. Positives: quickly greeted and friendly service. Food (Grilled Pineapple Chicken Sandwich with fries and a BLT with onion rings) met the menu descriptions and our expectations. Pricing is in line with other similar restaurants. Challenges: lunch menu is a reduced version of the dinner menu, so I expected everything listed to be available. I asked about the "soup of the day" which is on the menu, and was told that the chef missed that it should have been ready for lunch. That's a pretty big miss, in my opinion. It's the first lunch service, so where was the attention to detail required to open? Where was the manager and/or Food & Beverage Director ensuring that they're ready to go? Really cheap paper napkins (like the dispenser kind) one per person on the table did not fit the atmosphere or need.

Came in for lunch on a Sunday and ordered the damn good burger with cheddar cheese and fries from the menu. The burger didn't come with any condiments, so I requested some mustard to go with it. After applying the mustard to the bottom bun and placing the lettuce, tomato and onions on the bottom, I topped the burger with the 3 slices of house-made pickles and proceeded to take the first bite.Overall, the burger seemed pretty standard for what you would expect from a burger at a traditional dine-in American restaurant. I think the pickles are what set it apart from other places, because they were really good. I think if they added a house-made sauce that elevates the pickles, that would really make it a DAMN GOOD BURGER, but it at least made it to the "slightly above average" category.However... things took a dramatic turn when I took a bite of the fries. I wanted to shake the cook's hand because those were some of the most perfectly prepared fries I have ever eaten. The size was perfect... they weren't those thin soggy fries you get from fast food places. They had a very flavorful and crispy exterior that had a nice crunch, as well as a hot, tender center. They didn't need any seasoning or dipping sauces because they stood on their own, but I think they could easily be elevated to new heights with a garlic & rosemary aioli or something.I was just passing through the area, but I'm glad I stopped here. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The hours on Google Maps were incorrect so I let them know so they could correct it.

Had reservations at 6:15 and got right in. After 20 minutes, we still hadn't got waited on. The Manager ended up taking our drink order and comped us an appetizer. Our waiter, Tyler, finally took are order. We finished the appetizer and still hadn't received our order. We asked Tyler about our food and he brought our salads...,then brought our entree immediately after. There were two tables that got up and left because no one came over to them. Prime Rib was cold. Mash potatoes were excellent as well as the salad. Tyler needs to do better as a waiter or transition to another position.
