Rock Lobster

If you're a woman and you're out with your friends, do NOT go to Rock Lobster. Every time I have been there, my friends and I have been approached by creeps repeatedly. You can get cheap drinks anywhere else. Your safety is not worth it.

Not exactly a classy establishment by any means, but it is a place to dance in Broad Ripple! Very college vibes. No coat check. Place is bigger than then you think - there is a small "VIP" area and it connects to another bar that serves food.

Unequivocally the best bar in Broad Ripple. We experienced the first food served in Rock Lobster in 10 years. The kitchen is actually in their sister bar (another Broad Ripple gem) Average Joe's but the service was fast! Some of the best deals for drinks and best sticks in Broad Ripple.

Rock Lobster is the place to be on Friday and Saturday nights!!I am a Butler student, and Rock Lobster perfectly fits the needs for any college student that is on a budget but still wants to have fun in Broad Ripple on the weekends! They have great deals, such as $3 drinks of any kind until midnight on the weekends, making it very affordable. The space is large and has so many different bars, dance areas, and places to hang out and socialize, such as the outdoor area. The music is great, and the vibes are even better. The bartenders are very friendly and personal to the guests. I look forward to Friday nights at Rock Lobster for all of these reasons and more! If you are ever in the Broad Ripple/ Indianapolis area, make sure to stop by Rock Lobster!

There were girls laying in the bathroom doing cocaine. Beer was spilled all over me. People were rude. I survived.

Tipsy me loves the rock lobster, sober me looks at this place and questions, "Why?" It doesn't pick up until after midnight, which is usually way past my normal hours of function. The drinks are cheap if you go between 10-12 (~$3 any drink). They have a small dance floor, but works for the most part until it is so full you cannot move and are basically dancing with 4 different people at the same time. Let's be real, there will be another time where I think, "yeah, lets dance tonight" and I'll be back.

Service was terrible. I asked for 2 Miller beers and got served 2 Miller lites and when I said that's not what I ordered she wouldn't serve me and made me go to the other bar. Someone in my party complained and we got kicked out. Whole episode was ridiculous. We weren't loud or obnoxious at all. Just a novice bartender with an extremely short fuse.

Rock lobster is the place to go to if you want to dance! The drinks were okay not overly pricey like other place usually are. It even has a nice place to relax with a bar after exhaustion from dancing. Service was nice, bartenders knew how to make drinks good.

The music sucks here. Every week, the same middle-aged white guy is the dj. i've never heard more outdated and lame music in my entire life. It's like he had zero idea about trends in music until 5 years after they happen. I'm begging rock lobster to hire a new dj. it won't mess with your business, i swear. we just want some good music. i beg of you.other than that, it's fine.pls rock lobster. i beg for a good dj. they can't be much more expensive.

My first and ONLY time going to this dump. The dance floor was small and surprisingly packed considering the music was absolute garbage. There was one specific bouncer that felt very entitled and kicked me out of "his" bar. I got up somewhere unsafe to dance and he came to tell me to get down. I listened and immediately got down. He proceeded to tell me that if I did that again I'd be kicked out. I said I was sorry and that I wouldn't do it again. But he continued to repeat himself in a very aggressive tone so I told him there was no need to speak to me like a child and that I did what he asked. This hurt his tiny male ego and set him off. There was no reasoning at this point even when I tried explaining that I'm in no way causing any issues. I made my way out and explained the situation to a couple other employees. They were kind and understood saying that he's just a hothead. I am the least confrontational person I know and for a bouncer to become so aggressive with me after complying, I genuinely felt unsafe. Maybe it was just my night gone wrong but I am not surprised at how many bad reviews they have.
