Really nice park tucked off in the broad ripple area. This park is great for little and big kids. Everything at the park is updated and it seems to be a lot of different people that come to the park with their families. Parking is right out front so that's easy access. There is also a basketball court, soccer and football fields. There is also a trail around the entire park. My little ones enjoyed playing here and I also saw a building for restrooms which we did not visit. We will be returning.

This is a good park for a family gathering. It's really a hidden gem and off the beaten path. It's tucked away in a quiet neighborhood and I didn't know of its existence until today. My family reserved the shelter and there are several picnics tables and benches. It was a very hot day so the kids tired theirselves out at the playground and splash pad. It was very convenient and in good shape. There is a paved trail looping around park, which is good for walking or even bike riding. We saw a couple of walkers during our day. The restrooms are a bonus, but they could've been cleaner. The park wasn't crowded and the adjacent parking lot was another added bonus. My family liked the park, the location, and the amenities and will probably try to use it again next year.

Hidden gem of a park, just north or Broadripple and west of Keystone. Fenced in trail is nice for riding with kids. Huge sport fields, ball ct, covered picnic area, great play area and water park that are adequately maintained.

It was all fun and games (and slides and swings) until we came across the homeless guy sleeping in the stall of the men's bathroom. Now, I understand that a dude needs a place to lay his head for the night, but this was 10:45 in the morning, on a Sunday, in a park where families come to play. That's not acceptable. A park that has homeless men sleeping in the bathroom is not a park at which I feel safe. It just isn't. This will definitely make me think twice about visiting Riverwood Park in the future.Which is too bad, because my children loved everything about this little neighborhood park. There's a splash pad here, and it's nice for young kids because it isn't intimidating -- everything is small and the water shoots out gently. There is even a mister that just lightly spritzes you with water. The playground is small but the playground equipment is large and varied, and there are lots of things to play on, including slides, money bars, bridges, swings, rope climbers and lots of other things. There are also shaded picnic benches off to the side, as well as a huge, open field where you can fly a kite or play football (there are football goals set up).The restrooms are a stand-alone structure about 200 feet away from the playground. (This is where we saw the homeless guy kickin' it in the stall.) Water fountains are also near the restrooms.

Just a few blocks west of Keystone (around 73rd) is a 11.6 acre park that is mostly open fields used for soccer and lacrosse. However, in the southwest corner, there is a splash park and playground for smaller kids. Conveniently, there is parking right near the children's area. There are a few trees for shade and a single shelter. During the "season" for Indy Parks, there is a permanent restroom on site with water fountains on the outside. If you have small kids and live in the area, this could be a really nice park. Otherwise, there isn't much to draw you in.Review #734

Definitely bring a swimsuit and a towel. There is also a dry play area with lots to keep you busy, plenty of picnic tables, and a large covered area that can be rented and used for parties. There's a big swing set, as well as toddler swings. My only concern with this park is that people do not always pick up after themselves. I also wish it was patrolled a little more often, as it is fairly tucked away and out of sight.

Small park, but clean and nice! I came on a beautiful day and my boyfriends kids played in the splash pad. They said it wasn't as fun as others but they enjoyed it. I would visit again.

I am sorry to say this park is not a place I go anymore. It is riddled with litter from the rugby and la cross teams that practice. Loose dogs are everywhere and I have even been bit by a dog with no repercussions after calling authorities. There seems to be no patrol for vandalism, loose dogs, or trash littered from team practices. You're better off going to broad ripple park or a Carmel park. It will be safer and cleaner.

I almost didn't come here based on the one other review, but I'm so glad we did! Wonderful park. Clean, nice play ground area, fun looking splash pad (didn't have appropriate clothes for my daughter to play in it today, but maybe another day!) We sat under a tree and read for at least an hour... Very pleasant way to enjoy a nice day!

The first review looks to have had a bad experience at the park but as a hard to please teenager I can say that I personally believe that the park is great and fun for all ages, the Rugby and Lacrosse teams that practice at the park are monitored by coaches and are told to leave the field spotless or they will be running laps till they collapse and as for dogs I personally have not seen many off of leashes but I have only been going everyday for a month. This is a great park and I would recommend it to everyone in the area.
