Love my apartment. The view is so beautiful, the flowers are so gorgeous blooming in the spring, and the staff is always kind and responsive. Also it is rather quiet and peaceful which I enjoy. Thank you RR! :)

I've lived at RR for just under a year now and it has been pretty good. The gated community thing was a huge sell for me, but I'm finding that it's quite easy to get into the gate without a key fob... don't mind it all too much though now that I've been here for nearly a year. I still feel safe! Maintenance is prompt and the facilities are always kept clean. I have used the gym and pool a lot and I've never had any issues. The grounds and landscape are kept clean and tidy as well. I have never had any issues with loud neighbors or anything like that either. The apartment itself is lovely and even though there were some bumps in the road in the first week of our stay, Emily was extremely helpful and remedied our problems. She was quick to respond to our multiple questions and we ended up with a great apartment. I believe this complex is worth your consideration. It's a great location (minus the heavy construction on 96th street) and I believe the price point is right for this area.

I lived at River Ridge for 30 weeks. During that time, I submitted 21 maintenance requests. The condition of the apartment at move in was absolutely disgusting. Luckily, we had family along to help, but we had to spend the first couple hours cleaning the apartment before we could move stuff inside. The dust and cobwebs were insane. I was told someone walked through the apartment just a week before, and it looked fine at that time, but there's no way that apartment went from looking fine to the way it did after just one week. The apartment was also not move-in ready as we had to submit several maintenance requests immediately for a noisy ceiling fan that wasn't properly installed, the microwave and oven not working and a couple burnt out light bulbs. On top of this, we had washer and dryer issues. We had to manually spin out each load around 3 times, and dry each load for several cycles, so one load of laundry would take several hours (and a lot of electricity $$$$). They were eventually replaced, but it took time and persistence on my end to make that happen. There have been other little issues along the way, such as a dripping/leaking faucet in the kitchen that took a couple maintenance requests to get fixed, the shelves in the laundry room that were rusty and disgusting, a few instances of the garbage disposal not working (once was definitely my fault) and the outdoor screen on our patio not fitting the window properly. Our biggest issue and concern was ants. I submitted the first maintenance request for ants on April 2, and we were still dealing with ants when we moved out on June 23, around two and a half months later. It does not take that long to get rid of ants. Having ants in the kitchen is disgusting as that is where we prepare food and our food is stored. We had to throw out quite a bit of food that ants had gotten into, which is very frustrating. And, as we continued to clean the windowsills and floors, we kept finding live and dead ants. It was completely disgusting and also a health hazard. I submitted a maintenance request on Monday, 5/28 (after several previous requests), and in that case, no one came to my apartment until 6/8 (and that was the first time an actual exterminator came - over two months after the issue started). I am just astonished at how this situation was handled and how ants in my kitchen wasn't taken more seriously to get resolved, especially when the issue started because they spread untreated mulch outside buildings, so it wasn't our fault. I am a very clean person and dust and vacuum multiple times a week, yet we still had a spider issue. Spiders go where there's food, and we continued to find ants in the cobwebs, so we believe the ant issue also played a factor in the spider issue. Again, another disgusting thing. The issue got a little better once someone sprayed, but we were still finding them throughout the apartment. I am grateful and appreciative for how quickly some of our issues were resolved, but I'm really disappointed in how some of these other things were handled, especially the ants. The apartment seemed great when we toured, but we had an awful experience.

We moved from NYC a little over 18 months ago. The staff at River Ridge has been great. Holly in the office is always quick to address any concerns. The maintenance crew is quick to fix any thing that breaks etc. The community is kept very clean. It's centrally located. I recommend River Ridge to anyone looking for a new home.

If you're looking for a new home look no further than RiverRidge apartments. The grounds are tree lined and well kept as well as the surrounding areas. My apartment is spacious with spacious walk-in closets and large bathrooms. I have a nice kitchen and pantry. I love the window over the sink with room for plants. The staff is professional yet friendly. They work hard to attend to your needs/problems with your apartment. The maintenance staff is excellent and will and will come that day to fix your problem, even if it's a lightbulb. So joy me at RiverRidge Apartments.

If you get a sycamore, you can't do laundry in the winter. But they won't tell you that when you tour. They built the laundry room with the pipes on the outside walls, so they freeze in the winter, and if you do laundry, they bust. You pay for trash collection that rarely happens. It instead has to build up in the lot, or in your house. If you try to set it outside because it's piling up and they keep not taking it, they instead turn around and try to fine YOU for THEIR service being down. It's like they expect you to live in filth. You will not get responses for maintenance unless you actually walk up and remind the staff that you put in an order. People have gone 3+weeks without air in sweltering heat. I went a week without heat in freezing cold. But somehow, the system conveniently always seems to "not show a ticket". They will also HIDE the poor condition of the apartment you rent by literally covering it up. So you think you're getting a fresh clean apartment and you end up with a corroded what looks like rusty tub instead with an adhesive mat hiding the damage. You will have people on staff enter your apartment without permission or reason and then lie to you about it. Had I not set up videos, I would have never known. Crime is increasing and they do nothing but cover it up and lie. They will absolutely steal from you. They provided a completely different amount in writing for my last two months after I put notice to leave. And now they refuse to honor it because somehow to them 1800 is exactly the same as 1600. Anyone that knows math knows that is just incorrect. The gates break often and are easily broken into. Not the "gated community safety " they proclaim. The pool room caught on fire and they tried to hide it for 3 days by still letting people swim in chemicals that were unsafe. People fly drones peaking into windows and they pretend to care but refuse to even address or fix the safety and security problem. And even though they are "always busy and working hard" the office staff has been seen frequently poolside on the clock drinking alcohol and helping no one. Do not rent from here. Coming from someone who lived here for 2 years, and was never late and never missed a payment, you absolutely do not get your money's worth and are essentially being scammed by the property manager. Please save yourself the trouble.

Within the first month of living here, cars were being broke in to, there was vandalism as well. They parked police cars by the office thinking this would help. Well, what might help I actually keeping gates locked. Yes, a gated community with gates that are not locked. I have watched people wait for someone to drive in who can open the gate the tailgate. I have watched people park, wait for someone to go out the exit gate then drive through the gate before it closes. The master bedroom was on the parking lot side by the gate. The gate slammed shut all night long. Grab a bag of popcorn. There are going to be Saturday night fights in the parking lot! The pool -never used it. Usually loud music and tons of people, obviously not all tenants since they got in their cars and drove away. Head maintenance guy is not nice or friendly but very arrogant. The other gentlemen were very nice. Maintenance issues took several times to fix properly. Very large patio looking at the lake across the street was the only good thing. I did not feel safe walking the dog at night. I could go on but I will just say don't do it! You can find much better especially for the price.

NOT WORTH THE COST! This is by far the most we've ever paid in rent and also the most issues we've ever had with an apartment. Those two things should not coincide. Here's what we've dealt with:Maintenance issues:1. When we moved in: A. The carpet in the master bedroom was soaking wet for some reason. B. The garbage disposal didn't work. C. One of the doors wouldn't shut all the way. D. The screen in one of the windows was broken. E. The carpet was pulled up in front of the back door. F. The blinds on the patio door were broken. G. And there is a fruit fly infestation that they think is coming from the plumbing. Now granted, they did fix all of these issues in a timely manner. But I think they should've put a little more effort into making sure the apartment was in good condition before we moved in.2. Since we've been here (3 months): A. The pipes under the kitchen sink have come undone twice and leaked all over our kitchen floor due to the pipes being installed backwards. They say there's nothing they can do about it and "just try not to bump them or they'll come loose again" B. The furnace was constantly short cycling when we started using it for the cold season. It took 3 weeks, but they finally got it fixed thank God. C. The pipes in the master bathroom vibrate very loudly half the time we take a shower.3. Inadequate parking. My roommate works nights and by the time she gets home there are no spots near our building so she has to park a couple buildings down.4. Their trash valet service is very inconvenient. They charge $20 a month and half the time they don't even pick it up. Also you're required to sit your trashcan outside with the trash which means you have to find somewhere else to put the trash you accumulate during that time. We keep ours on our table. Not sanitary, but we have a 1 year old so the floor is not an option. And when they forget, you can go days without a trashcan. Also they only pick up on certain days and you have to set it out during a specific 2 hour window. On a positive note: Most of the staff is friendly. The pool is nice. And the fitness center is adequate.
