Ricky's Pancake House

I love this place, top tier breakfast place. The food is always delicious and their syrup is to die for. The service is always welcoming and I feel happy to be there. Would definitely recommend to go here!!

Don't visit this side of town often so since we had to be there for an event, decided to stop in and have some breakfast. When you walk in there is a sign that says to be patient they will be with you shortly. I love that and the funny thing in many of my reviews, I often say, I understand places are short-staffed but I hate that they don't say anything. Places just let you stand there looking around but having the sign immediately set my expectations that they know I'm here but they are busy and will seat me when they can. I love that. I waited maybe 5 minutes and then was seated and asked what I wanted to drink right away. We asked for coffee and within 40 seconds had them. They gave us time to review the menu and in a good amount of time they came back to take our order. They were very friendly and asked all the right questions. The food came out quickly and it was a solid meal, you can't really go wrong with breakfast but everything came out hot, and exactly the way we asked. Everyone was super friendly and they appear to have the team service approach which I also love, so as we were eating someone would stop by and fill up our coffee or take our trash. The owner also was walking around to make sure things were okay. Really enjoyed my visit and it was a really good value. We will be back.

Again, Ricky's has been our favorite so far. We have been there multiple times and it never gets old. They continue to serve great portions and their customer service is amazing as always.

One of our favorite breakfast places. Reasonable prices and everything we had was good. Just a nice little restaurant to stop in for a quick sit down bite. Staff is always friendly and as quick as they can be with shortages after the pandemic.

Good food, good service, quiet dining. All your go-to breakfast items, plus burgers and sandwiches. A new personal favorite is the Chopped Salad. Great place to eat and be able to enjoy conversation.

I have driven passed this place many times on my way home from our daughters house, but neve around breakfast time. Note that they do offer other items suitable for other meals, but I suspect it makes its main business at breakfast with "Pancake House" in the business name.So, when my wife asked if I felt like going out for breakfast and didn't mind if we drove a bit to get there, I remembered seeing this place and that it had a solid Yelp rating, so I suggested here since she wanted eggs and hash browns, not just baked items or donuts.The place appears relatively new and it was clean and in good shape. Much nicer than a lot of breakfast places that I've found to be hole in the wall or dive places. It's not a fancy place, but seemed well maintained and since they had plenty of parking, we grabbed a spot right by the entrance. Apparently a lot of folks who go out for breakfast tend to sleep in, so we had the place pretty much to ourselves. That translated to great service and minimal wait times on our order.I particularly liked that the black coffee I ordered was hot, but not scalding, so I could drink it right away! (other places take note!) Our waitress was personable without being intrusive and she made sure to ask before topping off my cup throughout my meal.My wife ordered an omelet which came with lots of sides, but she only wanted the hash browns. She felt the omelet was a bit underseasoned and a bit overcooked. (3 out of 5 for her) Fortunately, each table has its own salt and pepper shakers and ketchup bottles, so we had no wait for any of those items.My Eggs Benedict were really good! I was surprised at how deeply yellow orange the Hollandaise sauce was. Maybe they used extra yolks or maybe even a hint of mustard to get the color. They used real English Muffins and provided a steak knife to be able to slice through the muffin and Canadian Bacon easily. (I hate when places expect you to cut your breakfast with a dull table knife that fails to slice.)Other than flavor, what makes a good eggs benedict is when the yolk of the egg is soft and spills out over the hash browns. This serving had two eggs on top and both flowed smoothly. Just wish the hash browns had been a little crisper.Check out was fast and easy too, so an overall good experience for us. Just need to fine tune the hash browns and cut back on the omelet times.If you want to try something tasty for breakfast other than pastries or donuts, stop in Ricky's.Review #3822

I was not impressed. When we got the restaurant the hostess, I believe her name was Lupe, wasn't smiling nor was she friendly.she walked us to the back and seated us in our booth. 2 menus ... great. However no silverware. Waitress came to our table, took our drink order and realized no silverware. She took our food order and was t very helpful about suggestions. I advised it was our first time there and she didn't say anything about it. She said she would be right back with some silverware, 15 minutes later she brings it over. Got our food. My chocolate chip waffle was cold. But my side of bacon was perfect. The flavor of the biscuit was average, it didn't taste homemade. The gravy was average as well. I don't think I will be going back to this place. When leaving no one said good bye or anything either. Just didn't feel friendly.

This place doesn't even have a cook half the time I see people in there just hanging out with drinks and that's it. horrible place

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I ordered biscuits and gravy and chipped beef gravy both on the side. Plus 2 eggs. Food came out in decent time. Sausage gravy was very good along with the biscuits too. Chipped beef wasn't like when I was a kid but some pepper and hot sauce spiced it up some. My recommendation is the biscuits and baby. Great hometown restaurant. Friendly, fast service. I got the biscuits and sausage gravy. This is real homemade gravy; very creamy and delicious. The sausage Pattie's were also very good. And free refills on the Coke products. This place is a real find. I will be back !And I'll bring my whole family.
