Not even picture worthy...Pathetic portions of lunch. I've been here several times for breakfast and I have suggested this place many times as a great local restaurant. NOT ANYMORE! For lunch I ordered liver and onions. PATHETIC PORTONS. Like a kids meal. I sent it back and was told by the Manager/ Owner ( who knows) that "That's it. Is what it is" I sent it back and I WILL NOT eat here anymore and I will NEVER recommend just because the rudeness.

Wow. Great food, great atmosphere and great service. My son is attending a nearby college and I have passed by this place a dozen times. I wish it was located a bit closer than my 2 hour drive home. Again, great service Heidi.

I recently had the NY Strip at Richard's in Hartford City, Indiana It was the absolute best NY Strip I ever had. Just enough fat to make it taste great and the baked potato was large and well baked. The bread was warm and tasty and the green beans were very good also. We are coming back again soon. They must have a new cook because the last time I was here it was not that good. Man did they ever improve.

I am from the Chicago area but have eaten at Richard's in Hartford City, IN quite a few times. Their Fried Chicken is Magnificent; worth a trip just for that!! My favorite there is the Smothered Beef Manhatten. I'm in heaven when I order that!! Everything is homemade here to include their biscuits and potato chips! All representatives and servers are very attentive and friendly!! If you haven't already, come and check out the Fried Chicken here. Really it's divine!! Very Highly Recommended!!

Another wonderful meal at Richard's in the books yesterday. My dad and I drive about 30 min each way to dine at Richard's. It is rare these days to find good quality food at a reasonable price in a very pleasant setting. I am a dedicated fan of the Broasted Pork Chop at Richard's and rarely deviate, but this trip I did just that. I had the Chicken Liver special after inquiring if the same Pork Chop coating was used. I thoroughly enjoyed my Chicken Liver's and will not hesitate to order them again. They were very tender and tasty. I shared one with my dad and he said the same. My dad had the Pulled Pork Slider special which he said was very good. He did not notice the description that they came with coleslaw, pickle and onion on top of the sandwich which is not his thing. He simply took off the extra's and ate them on the side with his waffle fries. Once again as we left headed home we said the drive to Hartford City and Richard's is well worth the trip.

Went in to eat Easter Sunday and the special was all you can eat fish, shrimp & chicken so the waitress tells us we must choose 1 so the table next to us tells her guests it's all 3, seems to me the waitresses should know the specials when they come on shift, we had to all the years I waited tables. I needed cocktail sauce and kept looking back to get the waitresses attention whom never came, I had to go to the counterto get help and around the counter sitting and standing were 4 girls chit chatting it up and on their phones. Our waitresses never did come back to see if we needed refills on our drinks after that either!! I really didn't miss out on the shrimp because when I got some it was rubbery so should have just stuck with the fish!!! Could've been alot better if we would have had someone that wanted to do her job!!!

Chicken breast was so tuff I had to spit it out. Potatoes are great. Love the fish and beef Manhattans. Will definitely go again when the all you can eat salad bar opens after the covid lets them.
