The Recreation center is great for all ages and all activities! They have park space, indoor/outdoor pools and water slides, in addition to a workout facility. The facility itself is relatively new (I heard some people in the gym talking about having been going there for 20 years)! The gym maintains their gym equipment. In addition, they maintain the grounds really well. Someone is always patrolling the parking lot, Splash Island and cleaning the indoor areas. They offer various classes, including fitness and summer classes for the kids!!! Some other amenities I didn't expect -- lap swimming pool (indoor and outdoor), a lazy River and full free weight squat and bench racks. All staff are incredibly helpful and this place does a nice job training. It employs all ages and they host an annual "Getting Ready"-type training in the summer that prepares the lifeguard staff before opening. They're also fairly active on Facebook and good about communicating closings/delays. A great high school or college job for students. It's worth the price too! Any commercial gym membership costs the same for residents to just be a member here!

I have been to a few birthday parties here at the indoor pool previous, but I was now the host for my daughter's party. I have done quite a few different options over the years and the Aquatic center if you are a Plainfield resident is a great deal. The pool indoors is large with tons of areas for the kids to play. You will have access to the party room for two hours. The room is pretty large and would easily host ip to 30 attendees. They even provided a nice gift bag too. You are free to bring in any food/ drink etc that you want for the party. Overall a great time. The only warning is that the parents if you aren't swimming its quite warm and humid so wear shorts and a short sleeve shirt even if its cold outside.

Very large multi purpose place for things like basketball , swimming and even having a birthday party. We were here today for a Sweet 16 party of the daughter of a long time friend. Multi Purpose Room was clean had ample tables and chairs. Even a kitchen area. Great space to still social distance a bit.

The indoor pool here is amazing my 1 year old had so much fun abd the facility's were very clean and well kept. My only complaint is the kids (dry) play zone had nothing for my 1 year old to climb or play on just a bunch of small toys he could play with at home. There is a giant jumgle gym but they only allow 3-12 year olds on it. So for that age group its great i just wish they had a little more for my little toddler to play on and get some pent up (winter) energy out.

Gym reviews are difficult. So Pros, Mentionable's and Cons are listed below. Pros: 1.) Outdoor Water Park for Summer timeframe which hosts something for all ages. Also an indoor water park for off season days.2.) Great offering of classes with spin, cardio based HITT training, Pilates, yoga, Water aerobics and dance. Offered all times of day on a set schedule. 3.) Plenty of Room for private events to be rented.4.) Child Care offered while you workout for children over the age of 1. 5.) Plenty of cardio based equipment Mentionable: 1.) large locker rooms2.) Indoor track 3.) Price point should be considered if you're not interested in the summer water parkCons: 1.) Aging weight equipment. The machines and free weights are beginning to show their age when compared to other competitive gyms in the area. 2.) No sauna 3.) Plainfield continues to grow and as does the number of regular attendees/members of the gym. This creates problems on the basketball courts as well as the weight room for extended peek hours.

I have to say, I'm shocked that I'm the first person to review this place. Located just a little bit north of 40, this place is a little bit hidden but amazing!My husband and I originally checked it out because we were interested in getting a season pass to the water park. We found out, though, that this place is SO much more than a water park! The fitness facilities are great (never struggled to get a machine) and the courts are spacious and clean. There is an outdoor water park and an INDOOR one, as well as a indoor pool for laps. I can't vouch for the childcare play place but I've walked by and it looks great too!Another great feature is the classes they offer! The standards are all there (zumba, yoga, etc.) but there's even stuff like Ballroom Dance classes and Hip Hop! Yay!Obviously, membership is cheaper for Plainfield residents, but this place is definitely a good value for an active family (in or out of the Plainfield area).Check it out, ya'll!

Haven't been to the gym, but the indoor water park is wonderful! Definitely a staple for surviving Winter with children. You don't have to be a member to go, though it is cheaper if you live in Plainfield. We live in Indianapolis, so we pay regular price.The pools are clean, and there are lots of water activities for young children. There are slides, and even a lazy river! The water is like a warm bath, and always clean and welcoming. There are multiple lifeguards- all working hard. They are constantly pacing back and forth around the pool, keeping everyone safe and in line. This place is fun for adults and children. My husband and I would probably come here even if we didn't have a child! Definitely worth a visit!

This is probably my favorite gym! It's better than the ymca and the gym (Planet Fitness). You can swim, play basketball, Lift upstairs, walk or run on the track, go to splash island indoor and outdoor. It's just a win win!!

I just love this place. So much to do. I love the morning aquatic fitness classes. My grandkids come with me sometimes for the pools. This is the first time I have used Silver Sneakers. I have been coming here for 6 months. No complaints at all. Everyone is so nice and helpful.
