Residence inn by Marriott is a hotel located inside intech park area of Indianapolis Indiana. My family was visiting Indianapolis from louisville to Indy while in town for The Weeknd for my 11 year old daughters cheer competition. This is a really nice hotel that boasts a private parking lot, a cool Indiana pacers theme basketball court, a nice patio with a large grill, complimentary breakfast, and an indoor pool. Upon arrival they had a really nice goodie bag for my daughter and niece as they were aware that both were in town for a big cheer competition. So that was a nice and awesome touch. We rented out 2 of the two bedroom suite rooms. The rolls featured a full kitchen and 3 totals Rooms. Two of the rooms were bedrooms with personal bathrooms. The other was a living room with a pullout Queen sofa couch and the kitchen. So nice and spacious. On our visit the workers were very polite and Complementary. The breakfast was nice. Had traditional cereals and waffles. But they also had pre packed breakfast burritos and bagel sandwiches. So that was a unique and cool touch. The indoor pool was heated and a decent sized. We took advantage of that for one day and had a lot of fun. My daughter went and "played" on the treadmill of the or workout room. It was a bit on the small side but it was suffice. Overall we had a great experience at this Marriott. Like most Marriotts they had the traditional and classic comfy Rooms and high end service. No major complaints from us as it worked perfect for our weekend getaway.

Stayed here a week for a business trip. The place was a bit worn, but clean. All the needs boxes were checked. Bed comfortable, pillows and towels fluffy. Extremely quiet and peaceful. The in room Keurig with K cups were great! A pretty spacious room. There was a a few food spots within walking distance which was perfect after a long day. The shining star of place was the evening desk attendant "Peaches" . She provided a very nice warm welcome and always made a point to smile and say hello to me when I came back from work at the end of the day. She made me feel looked after and at home. The only improvement I can say is the hot breakfast wasn't very good quality most of the days and needs an upgrade. That being said the mini spinach quiches they had one of the days were delicious. The rest was pretty much the same every day.

The hotel itself is okay, conveniently located for the 4-5 days we were here. The room was a good size and clean for the most part but had weird stains on the carpet and they didn't clear out all the trash from the last guest so.... The receptionist wasn't able to find the key to turn on the firepit which was a bummer while we were having a bbq. Also last day we requested a late check out, yet housekeeping came at 8:30am and opened the door while I was changing??? I could barely hear her knock as I was in the one bedroom suite, and she didn't say it was housekeeping so I thought it was my partner. She opened the door before I could ask who it was. Very unprofessional and they definitely need to train the staff.

My hotel room is probably the best ones I've ever had in my life! Full size kitchen (dishwasher, sink, big microwave, full size fridge/freezer, Keurig coffee maker, 2 seater kitchen table), two separate bedrooms with queen size beds (each have their own TVs and attached bathrooms), and a living area that connects the bedrooms (Nice couch with ottoman, desk, TV, dresser). They use vegan/cruelty free shampoo, conditioner, and soap. 100% clean.I couldn't be more pleased!

Overall our stay was good, but not great. Rooms were nice size and staff friendly. However, there were two main issues...one of which is easily solvable. The other, not so much. First, we are a family of four so we have a good amount of luggage. And getting in and out of this hotel was challenging as there is no automated door. And, there are not just one manual door, but two. They really need to install a large automated door bc carting in luggage was very difficult. Not an easy fix, I know. Second, in the suites there were no utensils, bowls, cups, plates, etc. The rooms are set up with fridge, micro, etc So its like an extended stay get up. But there was nothing to eat/drink with. All that said, I don't think I'd come back here mainly bc of the doors.

This was a perfect halfway stop on our long road trip. The rooms were clean, bed comfortable and very modern upgrades (sounds like recently remodeled). I was happy to see a walk in shower as I am on crutches with a broken foot and getting in and out of a tub shower would have complicated things. Pet friendly as well is a huge plus! So go ahead pack up you and your four legged friends to explore Indianapolis!

Marriott is no longer my favorite hotel brand! If you would like to receive rude and incompetent service and sleep over a freeway, let Jason at this hotel serve you.I have spent more than 1200 nights with Marriott and have never been treated so rudely. When I checked in, I told the front desk clerk that I needed one less night in my stay (4 nights not 5 nights). She said that she could not change it in the system and to talk to Jason to have changed. I then told her that I am a light sleeper and didn't want a room on the freeway side. She said "no - you have a room with an even #, you're on the quiet side.I went up to my room, dragging 2 heavy bags, enters my room, to find it was on the freeway side and very LOUD. It was 2 am and I was not going to drag my bags downstairs and start over again. Needless to say, I got zero sleep over the remaining 4 hours. In the morning, I left for work and the desk was unattended. "No Jason". In the afternoon, I returned and asked a different front desk clerk about fixing my reservation. She said "I don't know how to do that, you'll need to talk to Jason". Ridiculous! Only one person in the hotel can use their reservation system? The next morning, I went down to the desk to see the famous Jason, who was very unfriendly - no "Good Morning" or "How can I help you? I told him my dilemma and explained that he was the third employee that I had asked to fix my reservation. He said: "No, I can't do that. You can pay for all 5 nights or I will charge you $100 extra per night for the last 2 nights. Why should I pay for a night that I won't be at the hotel when I provided the 2 days notice the hotel requires? Why should I pay an inflated rate because the Marriott staff are untrained.I asked to speak to the manager and Jason would not say who his manager was, but I came back later to get the manager's card. (I called and left a message for her 48 hours ago, but she did not return my call.). I told Jason that I thought he was very ineffective in addressing my needs after I have spent tens of thousands of dollars with the company. He sat and said nothing - even when I said that I would escalate the matter to to Titanium Member desk, and that I would have my employees coming into the property to stay next week would be moved to the Home2Suites nearby. He did not care whatsoever that he was damaging his company's reputation, ireprably.I called the Titanium Member desk the next day, and spent 20 minutes explaining the issue which the agent documented. I was then disconnected before being told how the issue would be handled. Although Marriott has my email and phone # no one called me back to complete the call.Boy - Marriott has really gone down the drain.I suggest you select any other competitor.

Pros: Room/Suite adequately sized. Decent coffee at buffet breakfast. Location convenient. Cons: Room and bed linens smelled like cigarette smoke. Water damage on ceiling. Floor and furniture surfaces dirty. HVAC loud. Lighting poor. Requested linens for pullout and received just one flat sheet and one blanket. Another blanket in room was wadded up on closet shelf. Was it clean? It was not folded. No tissues or extra toilet paper in room. Waited 15 minutes at 9pm for someone to return to front desk to ask for paper products. Seems like just one person at work in evening.

the rooms are quite dated and could use some refreshing. the complementary breakfast was a bit of a wreck. it Seemed like there was only one lady manning the area and it was a bit much for her. with equipment breaking down and food/coffee running out before the time was up, the area would have been more kept up with better support.
