I do have to say that I've spent over 1,000 nights in various Marriott hotels all around the world.I've seen the good and the bad. This is one of the really good ones.1. clean2. parking is simple and easy3. the team was friendly and helpful4. the room was amazingOverall, the hotel was renovated roughly five years ago. They did an amazing job. The hotel is right of I65.Our goal was to head over to Bloomington early every morning (don't ask me why we were 35 miles away. That is a LONG, sad story). The hotel is right on Indiana 46 (which links Columbus and Bloomington). Oh, the coffee and breakfast was awesome!

We had a wonderful experience here. We came on a weekday for a brief girls' trip with two third graders. Everything was very clean and tidy. Our room was lovely. The kitchen area was fully stocked with clean dishes, a full size fridge and stove, and a dishwasher complete with a detergent tablet. The pull out couch was in a separate room from the bedroom and separated by two doors - one to the bedroom and one to the restroom sink area. It was really nice to have two doors between me and two slightly rowdy kiddos. The pool was clean and open until 11 p.m. Staff was very helpful. "Full breakfast included" doesn't do justice to what is included. They have a serious spread for breakfast, including make your own waffles, several hot dishes, and lots of cereal options. They also set out ketchup and hot sauce, which are staple items for me.

It's been years since I have visited Residence Inn but I remembered it as a solid choice for visits to Columbus, Ind. From 65, it's easy to find once getting off at exit 68. You also have access to restaurants, stores and gas stations. The hotel is clean and common areas appear updated. I was checked in right away and the clearly was helpful and friendly. It has 3 floors and each offers a mini-suite. My room came with a king bed, large desk, flat screen TV, small dining table, kitchen, full size refrigerator, couch with chaise, and large bathroom. It's a fantastic setup. At check-in I was told about a food and drink period in the lobby that was included with my room. I stopped by and grabbed a beer but the food options weren't good and I tossed it. The biggest disappointment was the salad. It was soggy and browned. Other choices were a bit odd and not a full meal - i.e. Italian sausage bits, chips, hot dog buns (but no hot dogs), honeydew that wasn't ripe. It was worth going downstairs to grab a beer though. I ordered delivery from McAlister's through GrubHub.Breakfast offered several choices. It's not your grandmother's cooking but provides fuel to start your day.If you're driving through Columbus this is a great spot to stay. I've been able to relax, have dinner and work a bit all while staying in my yoga pants.

Let me start by saying that I am a big fan of the Marriott brand and all I ask for when I stay in hotels is a clean room. I have been traveling for business for many years and learned that I am satisfied with each stay as long as the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is clean. Great location and a great restaurant at the hotel is always a big plus but nowhere near as important as overall cleaniness of the room. At this hotel the overall quality of the bed was great and I have no complaints there but the bathroom, especially the shower, is another story. I had found the floor of the bathtub to be black in multiple places, the shower head was covered in what appears to be mildew or hardness scale and I found seven different black hair on the shower walls just by glancing at the back and the side walls.I truly hope but the hotel will improve their housekeeping but with other hotels around I'm not planning on coming back to this Marriott property

Stopped here for a night on our way down to Georgia. Very clean! Front desk staff was welcoming and friendly. Rooms were spacious and well equipped. We stayed in a King bedroom suite. Lots of room for our family of 4. Comfortable beds and the kids enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was good, with plenty of healthy hot and cold options. Highly reccommend!

I've stayed at this hotel many times. I chose this hotel because the rooms were very nice. They have lost a lot in the past few years. They need an upgrade. They also need better housekeeping. The first problem I found was black mold in the bathtub. The furniture is looking very worn. The recliner no longer reclines. I found what looked like baby cereal snacks in one of the plates in the cupboard. I found a drawer full of garbage when I was checking the drawers before I checked out. I rarely had housekeeping come in the room, but one of the times I did she spent about 5 minutes in the room. She only threw the covers back over my bed. She didn't clean out the tub or sinks. She emptied the garbage and gave me new towels. She didn't vacuum or sweep the kitchenette. I wasn't impressed. The only thing they did that impressed me is call my husband to let him know that I missed his jewelry that went with his tux.

One of the best Marriott stays we have ever experienced! Very clean and beautifully decorated for Christmas this past weekend! The pool area was wonderful and very relaxing for our little family get away. The hotel was convenient but far enough away from the interstate that it was quiet and you didn't hear road noise. Room was clean and spacious. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast was delicious! Will definitely stay here next time we are passing through.

Stayed July 4th 2016 weekend. Enjoyed my stay. It was nice to be able to bring my dog. Sara at front desk was exceptionally nice. Brought doggie treats, came to the room when I couldn't figure out the wifi or the ice maker in the freezer. We never got the ice maker figured out but Sara brought plenty of ice and I got more later from another front desk person later. Free hot breakfast was wonderful. Deb did a great job of keeping everything stocked and clean. Just before breakfast was over, she went around, letting everyone know it was closing so they would have a chance to get more if wanted. The room was spacious, nice mattress, plenty of dishes, pots and pans, even free microwave popcorn! Only reason this is four and not five stars is hot tub was down entire three days I was there. :(

This is a fairly new inn in Columbus. One of the nicest I've ever stayed in. Rooms are spacious and have all the amenities. They have a great breakfast with hot as well as cold items. They also serve a small dinner every night. Last night was bar-b-q. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
