Rene's Bakery

I haven't tried something I didn't like here. I love their challah bread and always love to try their pastries.A perfect early morning spot, small on the inside so you may need to wait outside for a bit. But always worth it.

Looks like they are reopening! I AM THRILLED! This place is such a staple here and they served so many other local businesses and restaurants! I have never had a bad meal! Food is delicious and worth the wait! Especially the homemade breads! Since they just recently did a soft opening, make sure you check the hours because nothing like making the trip to this fantastic place and be disappointed because they're closed for that day.

This is the place to be for pastries. We arrived on a Saturday morning and there was a long line of people waiting. The storefront is very small so only a couple customers can stand inside at a time. Overall, it was a bit overwhelming. I wish they had a menu posted outside that you could read while waiting, as it did take a while for us to get through the line. Once inside the display case was empty, and the employees ask what you'd like... and well you can't see anything and there was no menu. All the pastries we tried were delicious!

Everything at Rene's is worth having. The fruit tart was perfection. The cookies are heavenly. I love supporting this business.

Back and as tasty as ever. After new owners took over Rene's could have dipped in quality but nope! We had awesome croissants here just like before. Not the same menu as before but hopefully they can keep adding as they go. Love Rene's!

Blueberry one was the best one of the ones we had, but wish it was warm and toasted! It was also the flakiest of the three.Not enough filling in the other two croissants and the croissant parts weren't flakey enough (more bready / chew) but some people like that style. I prefer an ultra buttery and flakey layers in mine.No seating inside, but there's cute chairs and tables outside. There's a sink inside where you can wash your hands before (and after) eating your sweets.Seems like a fun local spot!

This bakery is absolutely the best! What ever you purchase will exceed your expectations.

I've been trying to go to Rene's for a while but for some reason it just never worked out. The time I finally walked over to get unfortunately they all had Covid! Had a friend bring me an almond croissant the other day while I was under the weather (closed down Patron Saint as a 33 year old, ouch). If it wasn't the best pastry I've ever had. Like ever. Like. How is it so good? Went back the following morning and got it again, even better straight from the source. I shall become a constant fixture here and it's going to be difficult to ever get something besides the almond croissant, but maybe someday.

Somehow after being a Butler student for 4 years, I just tried Rene's for the first time today! I saw the story about Rene and how the new owners have kept this bakery open and I was so impressed. I would never have guessed that they had just started taking over less than a year ago. This was the best croissant i have ever had, and the cinnamon roll was amazing! I definitely will be back to try other items like the bread. As someone who has had a family restaurant in my family, this is so awesome to see how they are carrying on Rene's legacy! Can't wait to come back!

The crosissants are still terrific...but...the the three I bought yesterday are about 30% smaller then the many many croissants I bought before.We'll try again......Chewey Chocolate cookies are incredible!!!!!
