So sad that this location is closing. We came to check out the place and there was an adorable pup on location. They have a great selection of books at reasonable prices. We found a bunch of good books! Customer service was wonderful.

This store is a mess, but in a good way! They're working hard on it because it was recently remodeled according to the staff. There are still a lot of empty shelving and racks with the books in boxes on the floor. But I would say at least 70%-80% is back on the shelves. Because of this there is a 50% off sale on top of the current marked down discounted prices. This is a large store for a reseller and they have books for children, pre-teens, teens, young adults and the usual adult fiction sections, like mysteries, romance, science fiction, and fantasy, plus non-fiction sections like historical, science and biographies.I browsed for a long time but I didn't find anything on my lists. The store was so interesting, I just kept on browsing the shelves and racks. I saw a lot of interesting titles but by this time, it was my third bookstore of the day and I needed to depart for home. I was sad I didn't find anything because the prices were so attractive.

Great for walking the stacks. Everything is always steeply discounted, and they don't rush you if you want to take your time checking the Goodreads reviews before committing to a purchase. ;) It's a great place to grab a few books to donate to those "little libraries" popping up on corners.

So glad I was able to check out this store! I drove past a few months ago but they were closed. The store is pretty large and laid out in very organized sections. Some of the sections did have chairs and tables stacked near them so you couldn't do down some of the aisles. They have an ongoing deal of buy 3 get 2 free. Most of the paperbacks are about $4 and the hardbacks depend on if they are newer or not. They mainly have used books but they have a few new books. The store staff member said that if we signed up for the email list that he would give us an extra book for free so it ended up being buy 3 get 3 free. A great spot for books in Greenwood

This is a tucked away used bookstore with something for everyone. The prices are excellent and you can find tons of dvds amid the books ranging from newish to history to fiction to comics to gardening. The store is rather big so there is a lot of merchandise, but it is wildly scattered and you might find Jen's in a myriad of spots. We bought several books and got two free items - buy 3 and get 2 free is their policy! It was a bit like a goodwill type bookstore but because it had a bit of everything you could roam for quite some time. Scattered throughout are comfy reading chairs and some couches, plus the music heralded back to my growing up years which was fun.It is a great spot for some used books if you have time to browse.

My sister and I decided to check out this local bookstore on the Indy southside. The store is large and well organized by section. They had a buy 3 get 2 free sale going on and if you signed up for the newsletter a buy 3 get 3 free. They mostly sell used paperbacks, but had a great diverse selection. They had a really impressive sci-fi/fantasy section that I haven't seen at other local stores. They also had some CDs and vinyls for sale. The clerk was friendly and helpful. There is parking out front, free coffee, and chairs to relax in. It was nice bookstore and I'm sure I'll be back in the future.

This is a decent used bookstore. They are working on cleaning it up after the remodel. I have been in here 3 times. The first time I came after opening hours and the store was still closed. I ran some errands and called to check if they had opened. The lady on the phone was rude and acted like my question was ridiculous...but the store wasn't opened on time. Coming in that day I assume the young girl was too high to get to work on time. The store was overpowered with the stench of pot and she was not friendly at all. The second time I came in the (I'll assume mother and son) were nice to the customers and the store was pot free. The third time I came back the store reeked of pot, again, so I knew the service would be bad. It was the trashy girl who was more interested in flirting with the younger guy who seems to be the one who does most of the floor work while he's there. He was nice-ish. It's a good thing the books are half off the price because I wouldn't buy some of the books at their initial price. I will go back when I'm in Greenwood, but they should consider firing the young girl and getting an employee who isn't too stoned out of her head to do any actual work.

This is a brother-sister store with Books On Sale, which is a couple miles away on the south side. I liked them equally but for totally different reasons. I just reviewed the other one, now I'll review this one. They offer a Buy 3 Get 2 Free sale. So while the books are comparable in price to places like Half Price Books, maybe a little cheaper, giving the extra 2 books for free is basically awesome. Such a great deal, just like at Books On Sale.Second, the store is very big and the displays are library style, with the spines facing outward on each shelf, in most cases. It made browsing very easy. They have a nice variety of books in most genres, including anime and philosophy and other stuff that often gets ignored. Same with the other store. I will say the other store seemed to have a much better selection overall. But at a used bookstore, you're a slave to what people bring in and what books your management can get their hands on from secondary sources, so I'd imagine what they have fluctuates a little bit.In the end whether you'd come here or the sister store depends on what you're wanting - quick easy browsing versus specific books by specific authors. But you can't really go wrong with either store.

After dinner, I noticed an independent bookstore in the shopping center I was in (near Steinmart). I believe it is owned by the same folks who run the Books for Sale shop in Southern Plaza on the south side of Indy. What first caught my attention was that this place was huge! There were all kinds of books, some filed by category on regular shelves, but also tables where some special categories or fan favorites were placed. They also had vinyl and tapes/cd's as well. There were comics and graphic novels, lots of kids books, and just about any other category you might think of.The only problem with used book stores is that they may not have that one item in a series that you are looking for. But, there is a lot of turnover and if you want the discount prices, you have to be vigilant. And speaking of discounts, the rule of thumb is that if you pay for three items, you get a 4th and 5th items (the lower cost ones of the bunch) for free. You don't have to get them all in the same genre or shelf either. Anywhere in the store that has the signs on the book shelves are eligible.Seemed like a good deal. I thought the books I was picking up were priced very affordably as it was, but to then get the freebies was like a great deal!Plenty of parking and there are even a couple comfy spots to sit down inside the store.Seems like the guy inside was friendly and helpful and he was able to direct me to some items related to what I was looking for. Check them out!Review #2286
