Pumpkinfish is a fun place to find an unique gift or souvenir of Indiana. The shop is located in The Garage Food Hall, part of the Bottleworks complex off Mass Ave. They carry a wide range of merchandise including dog related mugs, local popcorn and chocolate, fudge, cards, jewelry, home accessories and more. I found some of the Indianapolis-themed items most interesting. Some of the merchandise is a bit risqué (adult oriented) making ideal gifts for a bachelor/bachelorette party. They even carry an interesting assortment of gift cards. The clerk was super friendly and welcoming during my visit. Prices range from reasonable to high for quirky stuff you just can't find anywhere else. There is a parking lot behind the complex or metered street parking along Mass Ave.

I LOVE gift shops like this. It is not everyone's cup of tea but I love all the unusual gifts. There are many local to Indianapolis items as well. There are small items that are fairly inexpensive along with larger more expensive items. There are coasters, magnets, shot glasses, socks, bar accessories, and there are edible items and chocolates as well. If you are a fan of the funny sayings, as I am, then you will enjoy walking around the store and reading all of them on various items. They have some cookbooks including one from Snoop Dog! Next time you are in The Garage make sure and stop in here and check them out and see if it your cup of tea!

Now located inside Bottleworks, Pumkinfish is a very nice gift shop, full of unique merchandise. They feature a large amount of Indiana-themed gift, novelty, and display items that you will not find elsewhere.Visitors often ask where they can purchase Indiana souvenirs and gifts, and this is the perfect place to recommend. There are also many pet-related gifts, socks, and clothing.Prices range from extremely affordable to more expensive items, but there are many quality items in the $10 to $20 price range. Definitely worth checking out this unique shop. A great addition to the Bottleworks district.

If you're reading the reviews for Pumkinfish, one important thing to realize is that some of the older reviews reflect opinions formed at their former Mass Avenue location rather than their brand new spot inside The Garage Food Hall at Bottleworks. They're only a few blocks away from their previous location, a Mass Avenue strip spot that was narrow yet attractive and seemed to fit the eclectic Pumpkinfish personality. I'm not sure all of us fully realized when they closed that they were planning to pop back up, but I think quite a few people are relieved as we all appreciate this gift shop that vacillates somewhere between Indy touristy and slightly naughty snark and artzy phartzy. Located inside the Food Hall, I'm honestly not sure if this new spot has more or less room than the previous location. My immediate thought is that it seems to have less room, though the dimensions are somewhat different. Rather than the exposed brick walls of Mass Avenue, you have the industrial vibe of The Garage and the Coca-Cola Bottling Plant that existed in this massive district's previous incarnation. However, rather wisely, they've also incorporated brick into the design. On Mass Avenue, Pumkinfish felt like an "artsy" shop, while here it seems more like a gift shop. The soul of Pumkinfish remains. You've got Indy-themed gifts, candles, books, slightly naughty and occasionally crass items, magnets, glassware, jewelry, and just a whole lot more. Rather than having an extensive collection of anything, Pumpkinfish mostly has a little bit of a whole lot. If you're in The Garage, which is located at 906 Carrollton and just off the 8-900 block of Mass Avenue, stopping at Pumkinfish seems like a no-brainer. I'm not sure I'd call it a destination gift shop, but it's definitely a place you visit after having had lunch or dinner at one of these Garage restaurants or having taken in a movie at nearby Living Room. lt's also easily within walking distance of the new Bottleworks Hotel which means the Indy gifts should go over well as Bottleworks Hotel will definitely become one of Indy's destination hotels. There's a wide price range. You can easily pick up an inexpensive gift, though you can also spend a bit more. Most of the Indy-themed items are fairly typically priced for "touristy" type items. Pumkinfish is for the most part wheelchair friendly. The front entrance to the Garage is a double-glass door - it's not automatic, but works fairly well. During warmer months, you'll see some open air options. Pumkinfish is on one level and I was able to wheel throughout the shop in my wheelchair, though given the presence of some breakables it's not a shop I'd wheel through quickly. As is true of nearly every place in Indy right now, Pumkinfish is observe health guidelines including the requirement of masks and social distancing. As I didn't purchase on my first visit, I'm not sure about contactless payments.

**Covid Times- Wear a damn mask**Pumkinfish can best be summed up as a grown up Spencer's. Highlights: + It's currently located in the new Bottlework's Garage+/- This tiny space is crammed back with randy gifts ,some tasteful and practice to the more pun-ny and depending on your sense of humor, funny or offensive, which honestly if you do, just move on. +/- While you can find some budget friendly items, just be careful because it can add up quidkly. ***Do to the setup/space, it can get crowded ad a bit hard to appropriately social distance. I would just

Pumkinfish is the perfect little Mass Ave gift shop. Their selection ranges from bath bombs to Golden Girls paraphernalia. A great place for gifts with that unique Mass ave touch. I like the cards. Sometimes hallmark just wont cut it when your best friend is going through a breakup and you want to say, "He's a jerk and o never likes him anyway." I always find something new here. Stop in if you want a good laugh and some great gift ideas.

A new gift shop has opened on Mass Ave and it's wonderfully quirky and will fit in perfectly! First of all, I love the bright blue exterior paint- definitely makes the new shop stand out. Second, it's in a great location to get a ton of foot traffic. Third, it's full of amazing gifts and goodies. It's hard to pinpoint a specialty of things they offer so "gifts and goodies" is the best way to put it. The first thing I saw when I walked in were herbs & vegetable plants to take home and grow. The also had lots of locally made body products (options, perfumes, lip gloss, etc). Move in a little further and there are funny gifts you - Hillary puppets, candles, magnets, etc. Then they have awesome vinyl records made into clocks. In the back corner they have cheese, drinks, local honeys and treats (like marshmallows). Overall this is a great little gift shop with tons of local products. I'm looking forward to making lots of purchases here in the near future!

Random S**t is kind of a fitting description for Pumkinfish. Is it a gift shop? General store? Sunglasses retailer? Yes, yes, and yes.I stumbled upon Pumkinfish and went in to check it out. It opened recently and I was curious what type of stuff they have. Turns out a little bit of everything. Gifts, teas, cocktail mixers, jewelry, etc. I think most of the goods were locally-themed or Indiana-centric, and I am hoping they can rotate what they carry to showcase local products. What's more interesting is the back room that has sunglasses. The selections looked pretty good although I didn't stay long enough to check out the prices.Mass Ave can use a store like this to keep things interesting, rather than just having bars and restaurants. Pumkinfish has a very small footprint, so if you weren't paying attention you might have walked right past it. I would recommend checking it out just to see if there is anything that piques your interests.

I was a fan of the store when it was open on mass Avenue the products aren't like anything that you really typically find so it was nice to have it all in one location. When I heard it closed I was disappointed but thankfully heard that a plan to open back up in the Bottleworks to start. Of course Covid happened and everything got to delayed but now that Bottleworks is open pumpkin fish is as well. The store is located inside and offers a nice shopping break in between eating and drinking her way through all of the items are unique so make sure you take your time checking out so everything. I got some Leo crystals and millennial versus boomer pencils with funny sayings on each. The staff is always very friendly and conversational, and it doesn't seem forced, which I appreciate; this is a place that I shop for myself and find Awesome gifts for friends and family; so glad they are open again!

This place seems to appeal to some people, and to others, not so much. They did have some unique items and there seemed to be plenty of room to browse for items as well. I guess the problem is that I found a number of their items to be crass. Okay, I get an unexpected comment that is off color can have some humor. But this place is loaded with items that use sexual references or bathroom "humor" to be funny. I outgrew that about half a lifetime ago, so I didn't see anything I would want to give as a gift to anyone I wanted to keep as a friend. What is a shame is that it was scattered throughout the store, so it wasn't like I could avoid it. There were some nice items that I might have considered buying, but didn't on my visit. Review #1835
