This place is amazing!! The food is to die for. The staff are always so wonderful and friendly and the ambiance is just perfect. The smooth, perfectly lighted environment is perfect. Definitely 10 out of 10!

So we normally go to Harry & Izzy's for a steak night treat, but they were pretty booked up, so we thought we'd try Prime 47. Long story short, we'll be sticking with Harry & Izzy's/St Elmo's.1) Ambience was nonexistent. They had a party reserved for the main bar and restaurant, so they sat us in the room to the left when you walk in. Basically a storage room that was converted to extra seating from what I could tell. Not a single picture on the wall.2) The shrimp cocktail tried to be like H&l, but didn't compare. The shrimp had a brownish tint and didn't taste very fresh.3) The steaks were excellent! No complaints there or with the service overall.4) I added seared scallops to go with my steak and the two l received (for $30) were overcooked, rubbery and pretty flavorless.5) Tuna poke app was "ok". Again, just didn't taste fresh. Tasted more like mall poke.Disappointed...

Our party of 12 co-workers visited Prime 47 on a Monday evening. Reservations are strongly recommended. Our service was top notch from beginning to end, especially for our large group. I noticed several other groups also being well taken care of.I very much enjoyed my old fashioned, meatball appetizer and filet (cooked medium). The table bread was delicious too and I had a hard time not eating it all. Prime 47 seems to have been around for a bit of time. The decor was simple. I appreciated the high ceilings and that our table wasn't on top of another.

It was an awkward experience with an amazing steak. We were celebrating a milestone birthday and were placed on a high top next to a pole near the entrance. From this viewpoint we could tell there was not a dress code as people with T-shirts and jeans were entering without issue. For the price point, we expected some level of decorumThe manager walked by several times without asking how we were. The restaurant was half full. The appetizer bread came out hard, was not free and without plates. No issues with service or the food thereafter. The 16oz Strip with perfect and the birthday cookie was a nice touch.

Prime 47 is a very solid steakhouse right in the heart of downtown Indy. I sat at the bar, and the bartender was fantastic--super knowledgeable about the menu. Based on her recommendation, I went with the Delmonico steak, and it did not disappoint. I also ordered a not-so-small side of loaded mashed potatoes, which were the perfect complement.With so many steakhouse options in downtown Indy, Prime 47 is definitely a great choice to add to the mix. Highly recommend!

Late night meal after a Pacers win! We sat in the bar(high top). It's always crowded and people are pumped from the game. I had my normal lemon drop martini and Chris N. makes an amazing one. I swear you could drink ten of them and never know you are even drinking alcohol. They are just that good! He also knows his bourbon. We started the meal with Fritto Miso(calamari, shrimp, and peppers) and a Caesar salad. Salad has white anchovies and is quite a large portion. I chose the pan seared salmon tonight with the dill sauce and fried capers. I also had it topped with cippolini onions. They are so flavorful. Great on a steak as well. My date ordered the lobster Mac and cheese for his meal(it's a side but definitely enough to make a meal). Staff is always friendly and takes great care of us. I love to eat here for date night and definitely after a game. Steaks are excellent and finished with tallow. If they have scallops on the menu you can't go wrong.

They use frozen French fries for their sides. I spent $124 on wagyu steak and got frozen French fries as my side. Manager, Lisa L, says they can't make in-house homemade french fries as well as the frozen version.i wonder if the owners agree? i hope they call me.scott. 716-388-8410

Went here last week with a group of friends for a birthday celebration before hockey game, never again. Starting off, the place smelled like a restroom, and the bread was too hard. Next come the entres, my friend ordered the $140 tomahawk and it was cooked "well done". The mac n cheese was bland with no flavor. I ordered the airline chicken and it was... and I'm not joking... the saltiest food I've ever eaten. Couldn't finish it. This kind of place focuses more on aesthetics than it does quality of food. A place for pictures that say "I have money but don't actually have taste"
