Update ***TEMPORARILY AT the ELECTRIC WORKS CAMPUS****Tell us owners read the reviews without telling us you read the reviews!!!My last visit, I stated the burgers were missing the razzle dazzle of yesteryear and were on the thick side. Plot twist, the original Powers thin smash burger is back and just as good as ever! I stopped in this week to get ONE burger- I was in my WIMPY( Popeyes friend) era! I did pay though! LOL!! I was feeling nostalgic having just driven by the old closed location on Maumee Ave! We used to frequent the Maumee location with our grandparents as a Friday treat and I was feeling like traveling memory lane. I sat and ate my ONE burger with the caramelized onions, fresh warmed bun and it was as if I was sitting with my grandparents at their house. It was the Powers of my memory and it was absolutely delicious- same great taste- absolutely the same great burger. The staff was cordial, I'd venture to say, playful and energetic. I felt warmly welcomed even though they laughed at my ONE burger order. Before I left, I took several more home to enjoy with my family. I wanted to build the same memories in my home that the burgers brought to me at my grandparents. Well done, POWERS, well done.

Haven't been here in years. Went close by and Husband said "let's give them another chance it's been years" SOOOwe went n ordered 12 double cheese AND check this out. They now have hot, crispy and yummy fries !! I was a happy camper about that. Took about 25 minutes to get out food. I will regret eating in the car for awhile. LolWe will definitely get the hot fries again , however, yes there is a however, the sliders were mushed up in the bag so bad you had to peel the wrapper off and some pieces were stuck in bites of the burger. The pile of onions I took off were as big as the burgers. The double cheeseburger was like a giant compressed meatball. There were teeny tiny remnants of cheese ,but no real taste of cheese. We took the other8 burgers home , where I did scrape some of the overly cooked onions off. Slight taste of bitter burnt onions. Well the fries were good, the fountain Pepsi was good but the burgers , sad to say not like they used to be. The car and our clothes and coats will suffer a few days from the onion smell. You all know what I mean. Poor Powers. Maybe try again next year.

Food was Delicious! Would definitely come again atmosphere was very vintage made me feel very comfortable. Service was very nice and very friendly over 5 stars!

*This review is for market place location*To be honest, I'm torn between 4 and 5 stars... I think my expectation was way too high because my friends hyped it up wayyy too much for me. But to rate the food and my experience setting aside my bias, the sliders were what they are exactly supposed to be. Perfectly seasoned, super moist(it felt a bit wet for me), lots of caramelized onions that adds sweetness, super melty cheese and the beef that didn't have any beefy smell(means it's fresh!). Also? Cheese slider for 2 bucks? I say that's pretty cheap considering the current cost of food. The staff were super friendly - they didn't have to, but they were "ma'aming" me the whole way thru(I must look old..sniff sniff). The market place was super hip too, and you can get so much other stuff to go with your beer - my choice was locally brewed beer and I'm probably chase the burgers with some ice cream afterwards. Lol. I say if you like sliders, this is a must try.

Powers Hamburger is a Fort Wayne staple. While under new management, recipes have remained the same. Burgers are slider size and prices are reasonable ($2 for a cheeseburger). Grilled onions come standard. The burgers are tasty, perhaps with just a bit too much yellow mustard for my taste. Lays chips and chili make for the perfect additions to any meal. While there is a lot to like about this place, there are a few things I'm not a huge fan of. Because this place is a locals place, servers expect you to know what you want when you walk in - even if it's not busy. And some of the locals are not particularly friendly either. However, the cooks were cool and efficient. The grilled onions make it hard to dine inside. My eyes were burning after only being in there a few minutes waiting for my to-go order. Which is also probably why so many people order a whole bunch of sliders to-go.

Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Cheeseburger was ok. It was their tradition. Maybe too dry and too many onions. Coney was spot on for the price Chili was the star of the show. Will go back for more

Never had bad service until today. Waitress w/nose ring doesn't have a clue. After waiting several minutes to order while she was just wandering around, another couple comes and sits in the booth. She heads over to them and I ask her to get my order 1st. I order chili, 3 burgers & soda. After several more minutes she starts cleaning of plates into the trash, so I ask if she can get my chili. I start eating that & not long after the couple at the booth have their burgers. Well. I finish my chili & the booth has finished their food, pay & leave. I still have not gotten my food yet! I ask the other waitress if she can check on my order and she says it is not there. 5 or 10 minutes later I finally get my burgers. The whole time she was wandering around like she didn't have any idea how to serve customers. If I see her again, I will turn & leave!

What a great "hole in the wall" burger place. Open late. Not much seating inside but friendly staff and food was quick. If you're not a huge fan of onions order light onions cause these burgers are covered! They are slider size and they have a good classic coney dog. Good prices too.

I flew in from Arizona and my sister suggested Powers Hamburgers as they have reopened with new owners. I ordered two cheeseburgers and a bowl of chili. Ashley the waitress was friendly and attentive! The burgers and chili were AWESOME with a low price and the atmosphere was great! I felt like I had traveled back to 1977 as the food was as I remembered it to be back then!I highly recommend stopping by the walk up window and picking up a bunch of sliders to take home to the family or going in and hanging out for a bite!
