I find myself in conflict as I attempt to write my review of Plaza Lanes. On one hand, entertainment in Connersville is fairly limited. On the other hand, I am a horrible bowler. Therefore, bowling is a semi-fun, fairly inexpensive option ($14.50 will get two people two games on a Friday night) on rainy weekends when there's nothing else going on and a big group of us are consecutively bored. I really don't feel bad spending $7.25 on gutter balls and putting myself at risk for an unidentified foot fungus in the name of some quality time with friends. But here's the but.Our group (four couples, ages ranging from 28-35) were the oldest people in there by quite a large margin. There were several dozen cracked-out-looking teenagers wandering around the premises doing everything but bowling... there was arguing, crying, screaming, laughing, holding hands... and apparently some illicit drug activity followed by vomiting and a tally on somebody's juvie record. Yep, some glassy-eyed kid barfed in the bathroom and then got hauled off by the cops after he and a bunch of his pals were searched. Party on, Wayne.So... yeah. The good part about this is that if you're actually at Plaza Lanes to use the building for which it was designed, you'll be left alone. Bowling at the bowling alley is for old fogies, I guess.

Facebook page stated they open at 1 pm. Got there at 1:30 pm, to celebrate my daughters birthday. (The other people in our party had 40 minutes travel time to get here.) The sign on the door stated they open at 2 pm! Soooo, we hung out at the park in 95 degree weather for a half hour to pass the time. Get there at 2 pm, only to find 4 people talking in the 'office' around the side of the building. Knocked on the window to ask if they were open, they shook their head yes. Not a light on and the door was still locked at ten after two. Needless to say, it is NOT how you run a business. They did not nor will they get my business in the future. Get your hours straight if you are going to post it online AND open at the correct time posted on the door. I will gladly drive a half hour out of town to spend my money elsewhere. This was a Saturday afternoon.

Well to start off, I love to bowl so I'm at the alley at least twice a week if not more. I personally love plaza lanes because it offers entertainment for all ages. Of course there is bowling, there are touch screen games, pool tables, a bar, great food, and even some games for the little kiddos. There are also leagues offered that are a lot of fun. But if your looking to just bowl a few frames avoid going on Wednesday nights because almost all the lanes will be taken up by leagues.
