Plat 99

Don't go if you want to enjoy yourself in a peaceful atmosphere. No less than three people were on speaker phones, drowning out the jazz music they had playing. One woman was watching TikTok comedian videos at full volume. The bar staff couldn't be bothered to deal with it. There were children -- like elementary age -- at the bar and the policeman working security had to come in and tell their father they had to leave. The vibe is just awful. Otherwise it's an attractive place and the bartender was good at making cocktails. But for an expensive bar menu, go someplace that you can enjoy without the cacophony of people on speaker phones.

Popped into Plat 99 after dinner at Nesso and it was amazing. Very calm atmosphere great service and drinks. They do serve food here as well, will definitely come back soon!

My husband and I have absolutely had it with this place. We've been going for a few years because they always have unique cocktails on their menu. BUT...it is no longer worth the effort. Why? Well...(a.) They hardly ever actually have all the ingredients to make the unique cocktails they allegedly offer. We have been there MULTIPLE times when they were out of things. We just went on Saturday and ordered a drink that's supposed to be like a s'more. It only had 3 ingredients--one of them was marshmallow creme. Great! My friend and I both ordered one. The server brings it out, and tells us they are out of marshmallow cream--1/3rd of the drink's ingredients. We both taste it and nearly spit it out. Tastes horrible. Clearly needs the marshmallow cream. WHY on earth would you still send it out??? We were dumbfounded.b.) The service is consistently abysmal. Just abysmal. Over the many times we've gone, we've hardly ever actually been greeted by anyone. The bartenders make you feel like you're bothering them. And the servers (IF there are any working, which is a big IF--most of the time you have to go to the bar yourself) are never very friendly or helpful. So we have agreed, we are done with this place. Too bad. It has potential--on paper, anyway.

What a great looking bar! They did a fantastic job with the design. I wish I would've caught the bartender's name, but she literally made the best Negroni I've ever had.

I have been here before for happy hour / drinks, but on this particular night we had a private reception for a work event at Plat 99 in the Alexander Hotel. It was stellar. We had about 100 people in from around the country, and it was a perfect setting to show off Indy. The glass lanterns are gorgeous and unique (but up close, could use a little dusting), the staff was friendly, the food and drink were top notch. Even the weather was amazing, so we could enjoy the outdoor patio as well. Hope you enjoy my pics. #ReviewsByRL

The ambiance of Plat 99 is super trendy and classy. It's located inside the Alexander Hotel. Lots of cozy seating and there's an outdoor balcony that's quite spacious as well. Tons of drink options because it's a full bar and they serve some smaller bites.

My husband and I went here to celebrate a special occasion. My husband got an Old Fashioned and I selected an Amaretto Sour. Both drinks were delicious and the bartender was great!

Perfect spot in The Alexander to take in some beautiful sculptures and enjoy the relaxing ambience. Jordan is an excellent bartender... pleasant, attentive and professional. Only wish their kitchen was open to try their delectable bites. Highly recommend- cheers!

The vibes, the drinks, the lights, I always feel so fancy coming to Plat 99. Not only are the cocktails consistently delicious, but so is the free truffle oil popcorn. It is actually kind of addicting and even typing about it is making me hungry. Anyways, Plat 99 is located inside the gorgeous Alexander Hotel on the second floor. The whole hotel is an art experience. Plat 99 offers a gorgeous patio that is great for summer nights like we are having right now. Is there anything better than eating free popcorn with a drink in hand on a gorgeous patio?! I think not! Since this is a more upscale bar, do expect drinks to cost $12-17 dollars, respectively.

Plat 99 has the BEST grilled cheese in Indy!! I substituted chipotle aioli for Thousand Island but the main thing is how spectacular the cheddar and goat cheeses are together!
