Pizza Palace California Style

Visited Pizza Palace last night for the first time. We ordered 3 large pizzas for pick-up / take home. Since it was a take home order, I forgot to take a picture of the pizzas. However, I will attach a picture of their menu. The pizza's were good, with fresh ingredients, and remained hot all the way home. We order one hand tossed crust and two crispy thin pizzas. The crispy thin crusts were thin.... but not cracker thin. They were very good none the less. The food is 100% Halal so the sausage is beef rather than pork. We got a sausage and mushroom pizza and enjoyed it. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Our bill was correct as was our order. The location has very limited dine-in seating. It appears predominately a carryout location. I believe they make deliveries as well but double check, including the delivery zone. Since it is mainly a carryout / delivery establishment, it is extremely important to me that orders are correct. I was very satisfied with the accuracy... my family can be very particular and makes a lot of menu substitutions!The menu consists mostly of pizza and wings. They have limited appetizer, salad, and sandwich wrap options. Drinks include bottled water and canned soda, among other items.We will return to this restaurant. The wings appear to get good reviews so we will probably order them next time.... along with another pizza!

First, a note on the owner's reaction below: she is not correct that I owe "$12.50". The coupon was for $25 but specifically stated, in writing, that if used after the expiration date (4 days prior to my visit), I could still use it for the cost of the coupon (which was $12.50) and that was the amount properly deducted from the bill as the cashier did with no issue. I sure don't know why the owner thinks anything more is owed. Also, she is correct that I asked for sandwich toppings on the side (and I suggest you do so too) and I'm glad I did that. I don't have issues with the sandwich, other than as noted below. So, on to the review.....this is a small, primarily carryout, place. There are two bar tables, but these are used by take-out patrons waiting for their orders. Excellent friendly service, and the food is Halal which is a plus. The pizza is fine, a rung above Pizza Hut/Dominos etc. varieties. The Lamb Shawarma sandwich is in a 10" wheat tortilla-- odd they don't use pita. The lamb consisted of a small amount of cooked lamb bits--- not much flavor there. I asked them to put the sandwich toppings on the side so that it wouldn't be soggy by the time I arrived home. The sauce for the sandwich was orange-colored (turmeric?) and mayo-based, rather than the traditional and preferable tzatziki. They include a side of fries with the sandwich. We also had their wings. But....I would stay away from the garlic parmesan sauce that we selected. The wings were drenched with the sauce and unfortunately also swimming in a pool of it at the bottom of the container. I suggest ordering the sauce for your wings on the side because the wings were meaty and nicely fried but overpowered by the sauce.

Was thoroughly impressed!!! Pizza was perfectly made and the right amount of cheese and enormous amount of flavor. Will be back.

Jerk pizza was amazingly good most definitely will get it again if craving that style of pizza

They have amazing wings here! I don't even like chicken wings, and I devoured a wing in the car on the way home. I had to because they looked so good in the to-go box! My youngest child, who can be a picky eater, tucked into two chicken wings and wanted more. I've never seen this child eat chicken wings before, nor meat off of the bone. Yet, here he was, demolishing the wings from Pizza Palace. The wings at this restaurant are outta sight. We ordered six plain chicken wings with sauce on the side. I feel like if you're ordering wings to go, you need to get the sauce on the side in order to get the full experience. Especially here, because they make the wings to order, so the skin on the outside is crispy and golden. Honestly, these wings don't even need any sauce. I would come back here to order plain wings again and again. We also ordered a pepperoni pizza, which was good. We initially decided to visit this restaurant because of the "California Style" in the name. What is California style pizza? The style of pizza here is not my favorite, but if you like thin crust, then this will be your jam. They load the pizza with lots of cheese, which I love. And they do cut the pizza into triangles, which is a good thing. This restaurant is halal, which means they don't use pork in their pepperoni. If you're looking for a halal pizza, this is a great place to find one!The people who work here are so friendly and welcoming. While I was waiting for my order, the owner came out to talk to me. I don't usually like that sort of thing because I'm an introvert, but he was so genuine and warm, and talking to him was very nice. He told me a little about Pizza Palace and the ingredients they use, which was really cool. There are a couple of bar-height tables at Pizza Palace, but for the most part, this restaurant is a to-go joint. I ordered online, and then picked up my order in person. Ordering online was very easy, and my order was ready exactly when they said it would be.

My picture doesn't do this pizza justice (we'd already taken a couple pieces out)! A friend came to visit me and stopped by this restaurant to grab a pizza on her way over. This one is a veggie special minus green pepper plus banana peppers. We were pleasantly surprised how fresh and delicious it was! The garlic sauce was nice to dip our crusts in, as well (reminded me of Papa John's garlic sauce). The pizza was nicely presented.I'll definitely order from them again!

Visited for lunch today to order a pizza to-go. The place was very clean and the owner was very friendly and helpful. I ordered a medium meat lover's pizza. I was going to order a smaller pizza and wings, but I decided to order pizza this time and come back for the wings, because I was told they are delicious. The pizza was delicious! The flavor was so good and it tasted really fresh! I'll be back soon!

Really good pie. It's definitely better than any chain places in that area. Sauce has a nice kick to it. I'd frequent more if I lived closer. Nice pie. Cheers to the chef! I'm giving this 5 stars bc 4 stars isn't enough. In my opinion it's a 4.7 (out of 5) pizza.

I'm giving 5 stars because I didn't actually get to try the pizza... but I simply have to share my wild experience trying to order over the phone... For context, I recently moved to the area and wanted to try this place for the first time. So I call, and the woman simply answers with:"Hello?"Me: "...Hi, could I please place an order for carry-out?"Them: "Did you just call?"(In hindsight, I think she was asking if I had called a minute ago or something, but I was confused)Me: "Uh, yeah?"Them: "Then I'm sorry but we can't accept your order."Me: "Oh, uh why-"Them: *sounding very offended*"Because how could you just ask that question?!? You can't do that, we're a small business."Me: "Uhh, this is my first time calling..."Them: "This is your first time calling??"Me: "Yeah I-"Then: "Hold on I gotta see who just called us then, one second... let me check, just one second" Then she hangs up.I wait 2-3 minutes for them to call back before calling back myself. They pick up and immediately hang up the phone. I tried again a few minutes later and they did the same thing. I guess they had an exceptionally rude customer call them before me, but I'm confused as to how they became convinced I was this rude customer. I cannot stress this enough, this was my first time ever calling this place.I decide to try to place an order in-store since it's just down the street from me. When I get there, they're locking the doors and closing. Granted, they close at 10 and by the time I got there it was 9:30. I can understand and look past that part, but part of me wonders if the whole interaction was an elaborate scheme because they had to close early. If so, there would've been no hard feelings if they just said so, or didn't pick up the phone in the first place.In any case, I just felt disrespected.
