Been years since I've made it back here but it is a clean, friendly facility and a great ice rink. We had a blast and they've made major upgrades since I was last here. Concession food and drinks are available.

This review is just for the park. I did not visit the ice rink. The park is very small. It has a nice basketball court, a decent sized pavilion, picnic tables, benches, some pretty worn tennis courts, a playground and swings. There is a lot of free parking available here and they also have a small water park that looks ok outside of a non COVID summer day. The grounds are adequately maintained. Their is not a park for hikers, joggers, or walkers there is no trails or paths for that here. It is too small. However there is a path that goes right pass the front of the park. I guess if you just wanted to get out and just walk around the park, you could do it. Who needs a path anyway? This is a nice small park and is free to spend some time and entertain the little ones.

We bring our kids here every year as a family tradition to ice skate. Never had a bad experience. The line to rent skates is quick. Affordable and they have a good selection of snacks at the concession stand. I also love that they have several of what I call "walkers" for lack of a better term that help the little kids skate without falling. My kiddos always look forward to it.

This park has a very accessible location, lots of parking, and some amenities that aren't as common at the area parks: a full aquatic center and an ice rink. There are ball fields, tennis courts, basketball, shelter, playground and plenty of room to hike around. However, from recent news that persistent ice troubles forced the rink to close during the youth hockey league, the park must do lots of work to have the rink repaired by fall of 2018. As the last park ice rink in the city, this was very disruptive. So, I applaud that the park is trying to fix the problem...I just hope it has better luck than with Ellenberger Park.Review #687

For the past few weeks, my son has been receiving ice skating lessons at Perry Park Ice Rink through Sycamore Ice Skating Club. The staff have all been very friendly and helpful with him. He is usually a very shy child but the staff has done such an awesome job of welcoming him that we have not experienced that during his lessons. The program runs smoothly and is well managed. The ice rink is clean and well taken care of. I love all of the positive signs that are posted reminding parents that sports should be fun and promoting a kind, encouraging atmosphere. I appreciate the heated seating outside of the ice that allows parents to be comfortable while watching their child skate. The concessions are very affordably priced. Is there anything better than $2.00 nachos? I think not! Concession and skate rental staff have always been very friendly and courteous.

I go to Perry Park several times a week for public skating sessions. The building is always open during the hours that are posted on the park's Facebook page. The ice is almost always in good shape, and the staff is trained to sharpen skates. This is a good spot to go skate.

Horrible customer service. Drove 20 mins just to find out the public skate closes at 2 p.m. Online it clearly says it is open until 6 p.m. I won't be coming back.
