I am very sorry to report my 1st bad (and last) experience at Otter Creek in the past 10 years I have been going there. I was playing in an outing today which everyone in my group paid $100 dollars to play in. We enjoyed the front on on east with no one in front or behind us. We had to stop for about 40 minutes due to rain, but elected to finish the round. As we made the turn we ran into another outing and a ranger came up to us and said we were playing slow and said we had to skip holes 2-4 and go right to 5 cuz we were playing slow. I explained it was raining and we stopped for 40 minutes for the rain to pass to an answer of, the PGA plays in the rain we didn't sound the horn, you should have played through the storm. Then I explained it was cart path only and we were disabled veterans so it takes a bit longer to get our balls. To an answer of , "Still why are you playing slow your outing is over". Then I shared no one has ever waited on us and we haven't seen anyone all day. His response was too bad you can't finish your round. I said ok, if we can't play. Then give us a rain check for 9 holes of golf and we will gladly stop or skip holes. He laughed and said, why would I do that. You are playing slow. So we obliged and skipped the holes and went in where he said we should. We finished the last 4 holes on north with out the people behind been staying within a hole of us and went home. We actually play on pace or faster.Sad to say I have been a patron of Otter Creek since 2012 and golfed at least once a week there. Given my experience there with this ranger and his rude behavior. I will not be visiting other creek again and will be happy to share my experience to anyone that is curious. It was meant to be such a fun day which turned out to be my worst day (of the over 200 rounds) of golf I have played at otter! I suggest to stay away from otter if this ranger is working. No class, zero respect for disabled veterans, and no appreciation for long time customers.Makes my heart very sad...Good bye OTTER FOR GOOD!!Please go to Timbergate or The Fort where they appreciate disabled veterans and golf outings.

Wonderful design by Robert Trent Jones Senior (who also designed Spyglass Hill at Pebble Beach!) Otter Creek has bent grass fairways and greens, ample practice space, and large well placed bunkers. The course has been transformed the last two years into the gem it used to be - great work by the staff! I always enjoy a round there.

Used to play here in the late 80's when I lived in Columbus. First time back since...very disappointed in conditions of the fairways. Several times I had to move the ball to find grass. I counted 7-8 fairways that really need help. Not what I expected from a course with its heritage. The rough was too much as well...should lose balls in 2nd cut rough. Greens, however, were very true and I enjoyed them very much. Not worth the full price (which thankfully I didn't pay) until the fairways come back.

We had a family function over the weekend and held the dinner at Otter Creek. WHAT A TREAT! The food was delicious and the staff so very accommodating. They went over and beyond to make our evening memorable. If you want a special place to host a group, meeting, or party... or just want a lovely landscape with FABULOUS food and drinks - Otter Creek's restaurant is it!

It's one of the only public courses in Indiana that's a true "classical design". Conditions tend to be good, and you can tell, old as it is, it may not be an "elite Indiana course", but it is still a very strong one. Hole 4 on the West Nine, playing over the driftwood river, is one of the top holes in the state.

We stopped for lunch the servings were very large. The view is terrific especially for an area that doesn't have many views. The restaurant manager Donna was delightful and showed us around. Very nice afternoon.

I chose to play the course and have dinner afterwards due to Wednesday being steak night. The East course was in excellent shape. The filet was very good. I will be back!

Long - tree lined but fair fairways. Vicious greens - stay below the hole.Good competition course for better players - play the north and west nines if possible.
