But of a wait when you come here but the ice cream is always good! There's a little playground area in a fence for kids and lots of outside seating! Prices are pretty typical for a place like this. Not super cheap but it's a nice treat.

This place is absolutely amazing. All of their food and ice cream is delicious. There's a few benches to eat, and there's this amazing playground for the kids behind it.Cheap prices and amazing food!

My favorite childhood ice cream place. Love how it's out in the country and seasonal (it makes it more special). Sad they got rid of flavor burst ice cream but their glaciers are really good! My favorite is the brownie sundae. Fun play area for kids and it's always so lively in the summer. If you get food, be prepared to wait a while since they make it fresh.

I have been coming to this place since I was a child. The Buffalo are now gone and housing now sits where they once grazed. The Putt-Putt course is long gone. However, Green Acres quality has remained consistent throughout the changes. This area, in particular, this restuarant is loaded with memories for me.

Dont order a buffalo burger what ever you do. This establishment took a raw buffalo burger patty and cooked it into an inedible chunk of hard rubber inside a microwave. Then they served the crappy patty on a huge cold bun that made me think of the old "wheres the beef" commercials. This experience was really sad for me because Ive been a customer here since the early eighties, when they actually had live buffalo, great cooked foods, and the best frozen treats around. What a shame, what a letdown.

Great ice cream and great prices! I got a ton of ice cream with my avalanche, the serving size was huge for the price not to mention chocolate throughout!!

NATE!GOD BLESS YOU and your entire staff! I have had the crap beat out of me in Terre Haute Indiana, to the point where I am being starved! I have provided the proof for you as to why that is happening but I want to thank you and EVERY ONE of your employees for being so kind to me and not banning me from the only place I can get food, which is AWESOME food! You remind me of old school restaurants owned by a family that WILL BE in heaven! You can run this store in heaven without all of the crap that goes behind it! I can truly say, and it is the FiRST TIME I have said this, based off of my experience I will be hanging out with you and eating your cheese sticks and heaven! Thank you so much for your Matthew 25! Please let everyone there know that I am so appreciative that they have been very kind to me!And I would recommend you and your food and your restaurant to anyone around you truly are a class act!Rapture Lie on SpotifyGod blessDonna

I was just at green acres order 2 large peanutbutter milk shakes. Put my straw to the bottom of the cup only taste vanilla, went back to drive thru girl assured me they were peanutbutter. I am half through and no peanutbutter. I got poor service the last time gave them another chance,I will not be going back. I have been going there for decades since Larry Furnace built it in the 70's.

I was told by several people who grew up in Terre Haute that I had to try this place. They said it had great ice cream and was a local tradition. I thought it was ok.Their ice cream choices are pretty similar to Dairy Queen. The outdoor seating was a sticky mess, but it was nice to sit outside and eat ice cream on a hot evening. A lot of other ice cream places around here have little or no outdoor seating. The prices were a little high, relative to other ice cream places, but I think the portions are also a little larger and the toppings were more generous. I had a pretty ferocious sugar buzz after my sundae. The highlight for me was the playground they have behind the store. It's not one of those modern, sanitized, safety oriented playgrounds. It's the kind I grew up using, with metal bars and things that are easy to fall off. I can see why this place is a local tradition. After getting fueled up on a massive dose of sugar, an old sketchy playground is pretty awesome.Maybe it is a favorite for the locals. If you grew up going here, I'm sure it would be full of nostalgia. But for someone who didn't grow up here, it was good, but not great.
