Oaken Barrel Brewing

Had an unplanned stop at Oaken Barrel. We both had the Snake Pit Porter. Super beer with very good dark color. Flavored just right with no one flavor dominating. Hot Wings were very good but the fries were to die for. Very unique coating and the side size was plenty to share, especially for $3. Loved them. Donna the bartender took great care of us

They do not take reservations so we had a 30 minute wait on a Friday night. It was very busy but the staff was efficient and we were seated and served promptly.My tenderloin sandwich was meaty and lightly breaded. I also enjoyed the black bean soup with just the right amount of spice. Other dishes ordered at my table were fish and chips, salad, Reuben sandwich, and jambalaya. All said they would order again.Lots of beer choices!

Went to dinner with a couple of friends. Enjoyed a burger and fries. They had roast beef and a Caesar wrap and both really enjoyed them. Our server was kind and patient (as we talked and kept delaying our ordering! Sorry!). The atmosphere was great. Not too loud but private enough to have great conversations and there were plenty of good options for any palate.

Meh. I've lived on the Southside for a long time and finally made it here to a Greenwood staple. Food was fine, service was very friendly and helpful. The place needs to be spruced up. It's outdated and worse for the wear. There are holes in the wall where old TVs have been taken down, surfaces were dusty. We were seated in the bar in a booth for two and it was the most uncomfortable seating I've ever experienced. The booths are wooden and look homemade and have all kind of weird angles and edges. Very odd. The buffalo chicken wrap was pretty good, but weird to have shredded cheddar in it. The onion rings were nice and crispy. Hubs got an open faced BBQ sandwich and said it was okay. Underwhelmed but if someone else invited me, I wouldn't object but wouldn't sit in a wooden booth lol.

Went here for the first time to celebrate a friend, and wow! The food was great!! We only got appetizers and desserts but the portions were great for the price. Our table personally loved the Strawberry Short Sheetcake. The slice was massive. I recommend ordering this specific item - I'll probably come back just for this cake alone (and I'm not naturally a sweets person), that's how amazing it was. If you do order the cake, ask for extra strawberry sauce. It's the best part ;) I also have a service dog and am happy to report this place was very accommodating. Got me a table out of the way of foot traffic. Truly was just so refreshing going to a restaurant where they were so welcoming of my trained pup. This alone is motivation to return :)

This place gave us exactly what we ordered. Food was good, restaurant was clean, and the waiter was nice. It's a very laid back vibe, nothing fancy or special. I always try to find that thing that's unique and makes me come back to that place just for that something special and I just couldn't find it. Maybe it was one of their beers (I'm not really a drinker). But if you in the mood for a decent sandwich and fries, it's not bad. Prices reasonable as well.

The food is always very good. My favorite thing on the menu is the shrimp wrap. It's spicy, but not overpowering. The perfect amount of spice.The wings are very good as well. Great flavor and very meaty. The burgers are well seasoned. Just great food all around.The service is always outstanding. The servers are all very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very inviting.They also brew their own outstanding beers. Razzwheat for the win. They offer growlers or 6-pack CARRYOUT service.Great all around value for quality food and drinks.

I have been to this location many times and have always been pleased with the overall experience. We went recently and it was great. The service was super friendly and the food was on point. They have a nice variety of choices, and the menu wasn't overwhelmingly huge. The decor and atmosphere is comforting enough. They make their own beer and that's very cool too. You can see the brewery inside the restaurant.

Been wanting to visit this place for awhile now and finally glad it worked it! Definitely looking forward to going again from the nice decor, great service and delicious food... and let's not forget the beers! Super infant friendly! We even ordered some simple sides for our child and he liked them. We tried a few beers, including Razzwheat (which was the beer that introduced me to this brewery). Our waiter was kind and patient while I took a while to decide on my meal. I recommend beer cheese (even if it's a side) and the beef tips starter. Ample parking. Patio seating available. Definitely some screens for some sports watching. Diaper changing table in the bathroom. There is a "no pets" sign on the door.

The Strawberry Sheet cake is Amazing. The photos are what drew me to try this place. Sadly they don't have strawberries to go along with it, but the purée is more than enough to make up for it. It's not sickening sweet, it nice enjoy able cold treat. I get that for the appetizer. My Dad was okay The New York Strip. The Fresco Burger had too much bread for my dad.The Dynamite Shrimp, wasn't too spicy and was good.The Onion Rings were great. The tenderloin was a good safe grab when tying out a place.The pot roast was huge, might have had a few dryed spots but was still very delicious once you mixed it up. All in all it's a great place to try out if you never been, I definitely recommend this place.
