This park has become a new favorite. Aside from their splash pad they have a prairie meadow area that adults and kids alike can walk through and explore. We had fun on the splash pad then gatherings rock from the prairie meadow area.

This park has a prairie setting and features an amazing trail, some vast green space and a skate park. It is 38 acres and used to be a farmstead before being purchased by the city in 2003. The original farmstead is still being used for educational programs and is managed by Maplelawn Farmstead, Inc. There is tons of parking here spread across three sections. One near the front and skate park. The other, in the center, near the prairie, and the other near the back pavilions, playground and splash pad. This park has about 3 picnic shelters with picnic tables under it and grills right outside of it. There is a decent full court basketball court there. It is in pretty good shape. The park also features a pretty nice splash pad, however, it was closed for the season during my visit. It has a bunch of colorful spray structures and benches along the fence that parents can sit on and watch their kids splash around. The playground is lined with wood chips and has more of your traditional equipment. The equipment is in excellent shape and includes a small jungle gym, rock climbing walls, monkey bars, a bank of swings with a couple of traditional swings, toddler swings and ADA swings, a small jungle gym with slides, and a set of pebble path pods. The play ground is fenced in to keep the little ones from running off and has benches along the inside perimeter of the fence to sit. The bathroom facility is right between the splash pad and playground area. It is nice as far as bathrooms goes and is connected to a picnic shelter on the side and has an uncovered patio area with picnic tables in front of it.Your will see green space for days here. A large portion of which is lighted. It is well maintained and is multi-purpose. It can be used for most any outdoor activity including a picnic, football, soccer, playing catch, field hockey, or flying a kite. Right behind the green space is a monster hill. I saw people using it to work out while I was there, more power to them. It would make for some awesome sledding after a snow.Near the front of the park is a skate park. It is small but nice. No bike allowed, only boards. They have a small maze like fence that is made to try to prevent people from bringing bike in. Some of the stuff in the park includes a pool, stairs, rails, ramps, and other stuff that I have no idea what they are. The walking trail here is a 1 mile loop and is one of the better trails that I have been on. It is well maintained and can be used for running, jogging or walking the dog. It goes around the park's green space and hill. This is a very nice Zionsville Park. It checks all the boxes of what you would want in a park. I like this park a lot. It is well maintained and has top notch amenities. You could easily spend a day to a half of a day here.

Awesome splash pad! Was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't crazy crowded on a warm summer Saturday afternoon. My kiddos loved it even more than I expected and then begged to play on the playground afterwards. I appreciated the covered picnic area and am looking forward to checking out the trail next time. Ample parking. Great all around spot!

Splash pad, playground, pavilions, basketball court, trail, natural prairie, soccer fields, sledding hill, restrooms and more. What's not to love! This is a great little park nestled between the schools and neighborhoods in Zionsville. The grounds are immaculate and manicured. The playground has climbing structures, swings with mulch underneath. Some of the swings are designed for special needs. The playground requires adult supervision and there are many benches to sit and watch the kids. The splash pad was not operating during our visit but looks fun with themed sprayers. There is a little stomping creek adjacent to the splash pad. The restrooms were clean and unisex. On one side of the park is a prairie restoration project which is attracting many birds. We saw yellow finches during our visit. A trail crosses the park that connects to local trail system. There were lots of dog walkers and runners using the trail. There is limited parking on site but plenty of parking at the nearby middle school. The grounds are mostly accessible for special needs and strollers. We will be back.

Great park! Just went on a very hot Sunday and was pleasantly surprised to find the splash pad completely empty. Had a lot of great water features in it, my son LOVED it! Also have a a cute man made "creek" right next to the pad to play in as well. Playground is nice as well and ample parking.

I find myself with four young girls who are active and like to play. Mulberry Fields fit the bill for all our fun fitness endeavors. Play park with places to climb, swing sets, water park element, big open fields, walking path, restrooms, shaded picnic table areas, large parking lot, etc. My nieces seem to love the giant hill on the far side of the field to run and play games on. But as an adult that is an athlete, that hill is a great HIIT workout to encompass into my daily routines. The field itself is so big, you could have a family baseball or soccer game with tons of room to spare. Mulberry Park is connected just right across to the street to the Big-4 Rail Trail system in Zionsville, so via on foot or bike, the park can easily be reached. The park seems super safe and there is lots of space to everyone.

Wow, wow, WOW! I've heard tell about the splash pad at Mulberry Fields, but I had no idea it was so amazing! The splash pad is actually two areas: one is a regular splash pad, and the other is a shallow area with rocks and puddles and trickling water. The natural splash pad is my favorite, because it's like going creek stomping! It's really, really shallow -- most of it doesn't even reach your ankles, so it's perfect for babies and young kids. There are lots of rocks that kids can move and build with and toss into the water. (Just be careful and make sure they don't throw them at other kids!) The runoff from the regular splash pad trickles into this natural one, so there is a constant flow of water. It is so cool -- I'm not even doing justice describing it. The regular splash pad is also neat, and it's so varied, with small misters and fountains and fun things to run through. There's a water feature for every age!The splash pad and water area are reason enough to visit during the summer, but there are other great things about the park. One is that the picnic area is right in between the splash pad area and the playground, and it's super shaded. So you can park yourself at a picnic table and be able to see your kid playing pretty much wherever they are. There are lots of benches available for sitting, too (very important). The other is that it doesn't seem to get too crowded here, which is nice.

Fun, clean park for all ages! I personally enjoy being able to walk around and switch it up by taking different paths each time. The water park is especially fun for families. Everything is always well kept up here. Hopefully the water park is able to open up this summer!

I went here in March, so none of the water park was in use, but even without having access to that large portion of the park, I can see this park has a lot to offer.First the park has a lot of paved parking and instead of making it some giant rectangle, it is separated by outcroppings of natural plantings. There are also paved paths to a number of the activity centers in the park. There are quite a few activity centers: a skate park near the entrance, a full court basketball area, a playground is located right next to a splash park with a shelter (concession stand?) with restrooms within easy range of both. There are shelters that can be reserved and an expanse of open space that includes a hill which can be a challenging uphill run or a thrilling sled down when there is snow.It was clean and seemed in fine condition (a park and rec worker was there even in March taking care of the place.) Overall, it felt like a place I would gladly return to.Review #644
