More's Panaderia

More's opened three months ago bringing Mexican baked goods to the northwest corner of Indianapolis. This cute upscale shop is located in a strip mall about a block south of 86th Street. The shop is filled with cases of colorful pastries, breads, cakes and cookies. They also carry a small amount of spices and assorted grocery items including fresh corn tortillas. You can even get a cup of coffee or Mexican soda and sit at one of their little cafe tables to enjoy your goodies. In addition, they offer tortas to order, fresh tamales and a few other lunch items. The clerk was welcoming and cheerful, but did not understand my high school Spanish. She found the owner who did speak English. She proudly described some of the popular pastries and bread. They were super friendly and eager to have us try some of the baked goods. I picked up a pastry and flan to try and tortillas. Prices were very reasonable. There is plenty of parking in the strip mall lot, but there are a ton of potholes to dodge.

I went here for the first time today and it was amazing!! The owner was super personable and was incredibly patient with my Spanish student, who I brought to practice some Spanish and try authentic food. The food we tried was delicious, and the store itself is really cute! Highly recommend!!
