I'm updating my review to say this is the best butcher in the Indianapolis area. They have ruined me for grocery store meats. I stop in about once a week to pick up my meals for the week. The staff is welcoming and treats you like family. The selection of high quality meats is wide. We love the smoked pork chops, specialty boxed burgers, breakfast sausage, chicken, Faroe Island Salmon and every now and then, we treat ourselves to a steak. The gourmet mushrooms are delicious as well. And I generally pick up some candy to spoil the grandkids. They also carry cheeses, a few deli meats, wines, craft beers, vegetables and gourmet pastas and pickles. You can get just about everything the you need for a nice dinner. The store is upscale and spotless. There is one small table if you want to sit and eat some cheese or have them make a sandwich. They have a private parking lot so you don't have to mess with Z'ville parking.

When it comes to locally sourced high quality beef, pork, poultry and seafood the place to go to is Moody's Butcher Shop specifically Zionsville ( they have shops in Avon, Geist, and Nora). Also your first stop for prepared meats (premarinated ready to cook chicken pork and beef) as well as your local favorite produce and prepackaged items from local producers. The staff there quickly becomes family, in fact I loved it there so much I started working the last week, so I hope to meet all the regulars as well as welcome new customers come in say HI and join the family.

I ended up here after sitting outside Hopwood Cellars watching so many people walk in Moody's and just being curious. When we walked in I was expecting this small little store but it was larger than I thought it would be. Everything looked good and fresh from the produce to the meats. I also saw some local Indiana made items that I have been wanting to try. The staff was super friendly and they gave me a small town welcoming vibe. They told us about their upcoming sale and their reward program. I'll be enjoying my purchase soon and Im looking forward to coming back.

Ordered some items from Market Wagon and had them deliver it to Moody's Butcher Shop. I am hardly ever in Zionsville and forget that it's only 15 min from where I live. I walked into Moody's and was instantly greeted. They have a small selection of wine, fresh meat, cheeses, crackers, sauces, and so much more. Never been in but good to know there's a butcher shop not far from me! This is a perfect place to grab items for a charcuterie board!

When I try to go to my local butcher shop in Mooresville, there are lines of people waiting with nobody looking at the boring and somewhat grimy grocery store. What a difference when I stopped in at Moody's!No lines, no waiting, lots of options, and so much cool stuff to browse through even if there was a rush on the butcher/deli counter. The store is clean and bright. The displays are orderly and along the wall near the street entrance is a cooler filled with cheeses and packaged sausages/meats. About half way into the shotgun style shop the order counter is on your left along with the full butcher counter filled with fresh cuts of meat. In the space on the customer side of the counter, there are displays of sauces and canned goods, a local ground coffee display, and a craft beer section. My wife saw a pair of thick cut pork chops that she couldn't resist (about 1 pound each!) We will be enjoying those soon in one of her favorite recipes!Very helpful staff behind the counters and they seemed very knowledgeable of their products. I also found there are three Moody's scattered around the metro area, so I will have to check out the Avon shop since it is a lot closer to home.A very pleasant shopping experience and I'm sure I'm going to enjoy the items we purchased.Review #2200

We love Moody's! The meet is high quality and I feel good knowing it is sourced locally. In March when grocery store shelves were empty, Moody's was fully stocked! The staff are friendly, patient, and willing to share recommendations. Last time we visited, the owner (I think?) came down from the balcony to make wine recommendations based on our preferences and the meat we bought! So thoughtful! This place surprised me with how large it is inside and the variety of products. Besides fresh pork, chicken, and beef, there is fresh/frozen fish, produce, cheese, sausages, wine, and local products like bread, salsa, sauces, popcorn, maple syrup, ice cream, kombucha... everything. If you are into supporting local businesses, this is a great one stop shop!

EXCELLENT quality meats. If it's ever a special occasion where steak is warranted, I'm going to Moody's.
