Midday Gourmet Deli & Catering

The Midday Deli is a popular locally owned sandwich shop that has a a group of faithful lunch crowd patrons. The sandwiches are FRESH (made to order) and the soups are made from scratch. The staff welcomes customers and takes orders quickly at the counter. The checkout clerk, Jasson, was super friendly and engaging. He double checked to make sure that I had everything that I needed. I had lunch there today as I was craving an egg salad sandwich and some soup. The sandwiches are huge on bread that tastes like it just came out of the oven. The egg salad is creamy and delicious. You can request whatever topping you want. They had about six different soups. I had the lemon, chicken orzo soup which was hot and filled with chicken and veggies. So good. They offer daily specials also. Prices are reasonable. The deli in a small (recently remodeled) strip mall. They have about a dozen tables inside. The dining room is not fancy, but it is immaculate. There is plenty of parking, but the lot has seen better days.

It's a very good deli their sandwiches are creative. Their soups were good and the guys that run. The place are definitely very nice.

I stopped at Midday during my lunch break because it is close to work. After seeing all the positive reviews on Yelp, I was pretty excited. However, everything about my experience was pretty underwhelming. The inside is kinda small, with an ordering counter and a few tables. The menu has typical deli sandwich, salads and soups, but nothing that really stuck out to make me say "ohh I want to try that."They offer a "pick two" option, with either soup, salad or half sandwich. However, the sandwich has to be a build your own cold deli sandwich, not one of the grilled sandwiches that they offer (disappointing). I also got a southwest salad to go along with it. Both items were something I felt I could have made at home myself and packed in a lunch box.If I come back, I would probably try a sandwich off of the grill menu.

This deli has been sitting in this little strip mall for quite some time even when nothing else was there. They have a daily special usually a sandwich or wrap with a soup of choice. Typically have 4-6 soups available everyday. I usually go with the special because they all have been pretty good. But you have plenty of sandwich, salad and soup options if that special of the day is not your jam.

I got here during the lunch rush to meet with a friend. You can't see this gem from the street but you should definitely stop by. Huge menu, great BLT and cheddar broccoli soup, clean, not lots of seating for large groups, the employees were so nice. I will definitely be back to try one of the salads!

A great lunch spot on the northwest side of Indy! Stopped in for a chicken, bacon, ranch wrap and a southwest salad. The salad included cilantro lime vinaigrette which was unique and delicious. The shop had large plexiglass up protecting the kitchen area. The kitchen was in an open room behind the plexi glass so I was able to see that the area was very clean. The staff was following Covid safety measures including wearing masks and gloves, deeply sanitizing between customers, and offering customers hand sanitizer at the door. This was a great lunch, and I hope to be back soon.

This little gem is tucked away in a plaza near the New Augusta post office, Traders Point and a little ways from Micigan Rd. It kind of reminds you of an old deli counter. The menu is simple and the food comes out quick. There is adequate seating. I had the Midday melt (Grilled turkey with bacon, provolone cheese, and mayo on sourdough bread $6.55) added some grill onions (they call em bourbon onions). Very tasty!!! Swing by for lunch I was in n out during lunch in about 10 minutes

Excellent sandwiches and great chili soups! The Reuben and Frisco melt are both top class
