Mi Pueblo Mexican Restaurant

Popped in for dinner and, as I usually do when I'm alone, took a seat at the bar. There were other parties in booths in the bar area, but I was alone at the rail. No matter.My bartender was there pretty quickly and, after hunting for it for a few minutes, finally found the Jose Cuervo I'd ordered. Chips and salsa followed, along with a menu, and I ordered a la carte because full Mexican meals have become more than I want to eat. I ordered a chili relleno (my test of a Mexican restaurant) a tamale (no choice of filling; they came the way they came) and a side of tortillas.Living nearly half my life in Arizona and California, I have eaten a lot of good Mexican food, and this was pretty decent, especially considering it's Indiana. The relleno was made with a fluffy egg coating, then deep-fried as opposed to simply dipping the Hatch chili into scrambled eggs (which I'm told is also legit; I just prefer the puffier variety). Pretty tasty! The tamale with its mystery meat was also good, and I believe I detected a touch of molé in the sauce. All in all, I'd give the food four out of five stars.The area where Mi Pueblo fell down was service. My bartender took my orders (a drink, then food), brought the food, but then dropped the check without me asking for it, and without him asking whether I'd like another drink, dessert or anything else. It felt like I was being rushed out the door. Then, he disappeared before I could retrieve my credit card, which would have taken literally five seconds, if that. Then I waited a fairly long time for him to come back ... but he never did. I had enough cash to cover the check and a much smaller tip than I'd have otherwise left, but they apparently wanted me to leave, so I put down the dinero and obliged.All in, I'm giving Mi Pueblo four stars for the food and two for service. Average: three.

The food is amazing and homemade! The employees are helpful and the atmosphere is amazing! The inside is decorated very nicely.

Great food and fast service . The staff are super efficient and also the food never disappoints, keep up the great work guys.

My daughter and I went to lunch here, the service has been better but this time it was ridiculous. We walked in to the hostess stand and the young boy was on his phone, I said, "Hello, 2 please, thank you." He grabbed the menus and walked so far ahead of us we couldn't see him as we walked up to the table he threw them on the table and walked away. After we ordered, ate and got a Togo meal for my older daughter, we waited 20 minutes for a receipt then as we went up to pay the fella there didn't say a word to us took my bill and my money and handed me my change then grabbed his phone and got on there. I said thank you have a great day. Customer service has really went down the crapper these days.

As a former restaurant manager I can sometimes be too critical, but I must say this place is running on all cylinders! Amazing service, great food, hot fresh and the Decour was amazing. The bathrooms were great all around a good experience. What was really amazing is the fact that we went at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, that is the time to get the worst service usually at restaurants and this restaurant was on point. I completely recommend and would come back every time I'm in town

What a great place to eat. They are always quick to seat you. The chips and salsa are not far behind. The servers are always top-notch. They are friendly and willing to answer any questions you have. I have eaten here many times. I have tried many different items off the menu. Everything is always hot and fresh. It's just delicious and I can't help but clean my plate every time. It is priced just right for what you get.

Stopped in tonight on way to Ft Wayne and I can tell you that the customer service and waiter were very friendly and fast. Looks like this restaurant has a good staff on board to keep your experience good.The food was average for a Mexican restaurant and nothing to say we have to come back to get more. I would say it was of the occasional places you keep on your list to visit ever so often. No bad experience at all and if the food was over the top it would be on my list to visit more often!The rice was extremely bland and the tacos el pastor were very dry, so be careful if you want to get these. We also had the chicken el pollo and it was good, little dry advertised in the chicken but had good flavor. Wife had the Mexican pizza with shrimp and she really liked it.If you get the tacos individually they are ground beef and not steak, so be careful.

Service was amazing, nicest people work there! I loved the animal statues, missing a star since the wheel upfront and the owl were giving me bad vibes. The food was absolutely delicious, plenty of food for the right price! 4 out of 5.

I guess if you haven't had great Mexican food, you might enjoy this, but overall, very bland. Steak was overcooked in the tacos (dry), Salsa has no flavor, everything overall was just basic Mexican food. You get a lot for your money, but I'd rather go somewhere else. Will not be back.

Went with my family and we had to wait 42 minutes for 9 of us. That's no big problem. We asked for chip refills unfortunately didn't get that. I asked for water refill also didn't get that. Unfortunately was a bad time..
