I have been to a few of of these including the first one. It grows every year and is great. There are great meads and ciders from all over. It used to be outside but with the CCIC indoor area and the time of year it makes sense to bring it in with the unpredictable weather. Get there early as the good stuff goes fast. this is a little different than a giant beer festival, they bring limited quantities here. The festival staff that are working/volunteering are amazing!! they do such a great job, lots of the vendors use the festival staff to pour the drinks and they are great. If you like meads/ciders I highly recommend coming to this festival.

This festival was my dream come true. I've been a bit overwhelmed with the amount of beer options and breweries popping up around the central Indiana area, so it was a breath of fresh air to find out that a mead and cider festival was happening! Tia and the team did an amazing job. The marketing and branding were spot-on, as always. The staff and volunteers were very helpful. And the entire day ran very smoothly. The gorgeous weather was the cherry on top. The varieties of ciders, both local and not, was great. It was a great event for it being the first time hosting something of this sort. The couple of things I noticed that could have improved: 1: move the cideries and meaderies a bit further back to allow the lines to extend a bit more without having to go outside, and 2: space the vendors out just a tad bit to reduce congestion once everyone starts to wait in lines. Overall, it was a great time. I can't wait to see this become an annual event; it was excellent! Cheers, New Day and the other awesome vendors :)

This is my favorite "festival" that is based on alcohol! I have attended the first festival and the third annual festival. It has improved greatly since it's inception with the increase in the number of food vendors and the variety of cideries and meaderies represented. The venue is great as it accommodates the vendor booths perfectly. The vendor booths line roofed area in an L shape with food vendors lined along the brewery walkway creating a courtyard where there is a tent with tables. The courtyard is a perfect place to relax when you need a break from the chaos of people queueing for free alcohol samples.I suggest that attendees Uber, Lyft or have a designated driver to/from the venue as the samples are unlimited (at least, until they are gone). Choose your companions to the event wisely...because it's unlimited samples!

A great festival in a cool, funky, industrial setting. Some great exhibitors and delicious food trucks. One word of warning, watch your consumption or you might accidentally adopt a cat.

This was the second year attending and for someone who loves ciders and meads, this is an amazing event. Was somewhat disappointed that some of the listed meads and ciders were not there, however, there was enough to sample. Will definitely be getting tickets for next year.

This is my favorite festival of alcoholic beverages! I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical this year due to the change in date and converting to an indoor event. Even though this was a a smaller festival than year's past, there were still some great cideries and meaderies on hand. It was disappointing some of my favorites from past years did not participate. Fingers cross they return next year! I recommend spending the extra $10 for VIP since some vendors offered VIP only beverages. Another plus, not as long as lines within the VIP time. I'm optimistic for what's to come!

What a great event! This was my wife and I's first year to attend. So many great ciders and meads. We have a long list of drinks to buy at local shops. Everyone in the booths was super helpful about where to find their bottles in the Indy area and were happy to take the time to explain about their products when asked. The crowd was nice and full, but lines never got too long for any tables or the port-a-potties. Just the right size. And great choice of 90's pop and dance music too!

I volunteered for this event through Girls Pint Out, so am a little biased due to all the free cider & mead I sampled. This first time event was a major success. You could tell that the New Day owners, sponsors, and vendors really put a lot of planning into the event, observing the pros/cons of other beer/food events around town. I was happy for the festival to be held in the Near East side community, instead of Military Park or the usual suspect location. As a super-pale person, I also loved that the event was sheltered from the elements and utilized the Circle Center Complex's empty industrial space so creatively. Other Pluses:-Free parking within walking distance;-Beautifully-designed festival logo, sampling cup, and t-shirts;-Perfect amount of attendees; fairly short lines (although I do like the suggestion of pushing the tables back further under the shelter);-A diverse mix of local and international ciders & meads;-A designated driver tent with free water & delicious coffee from Bee Coffee Roasters;-A portion of the proceeds was donated to FACE pet clinic, who had the most adorable kittens on-site for adoption.I poured Maeloc cider from Galicia Spain, as well as a unique oak-aged Dupont cider from France, and met so many nice, local cider-fanatics doing so. Near the end of the festival, the more popular and unique ciders & meads ran low or out; however, overall, it never seemed like the amounts hit a critical low (compared to other events were so many food/drink offerings run out 1/2 way through).I hope the New Day owners were happy with the event's success...and will make the festival a reoccurring event.

This was a really neat experience I love hard cider so it was right up my alley. I couldn't believe with every booth being mead or cider how different they all tasted and how many flavors they had. I absolutely love la Margherita and they had a good truck at this event!! Definitely made me happy we also tried the pierogi love buffalo chicken and it was ok my mom liked it a lot more than I did. One thing I was really looking forward to to get me in the fall/ Halloween spirit was the tarot card and palm readings but unfortunately they didn't show up to the event. Kind of a bummer. Overall we had a great time the samples of cider were large and lots of options food was good and the cute souvenir glass was great.
