Mashaweena

Despite a few hiccups, my visit to Mashweena offered some notable highlights. The interior was pretty plain with a menu posted outside a glass window to look at and a park bench to sit on while waiting. Unfortunately, the fryer was down during my visit, meaning no falafel or fries were available--a disappointment. Additionally, the wait time stretched to about 30 minutes, which seemed like a long time despite being open for an hour and no body inside. The beef gyro left much to be desired; it was dry and unappetizing.However, amidst these setbacks, the chicken shish tawook shone brightly. Moist, well-spiced, and complemented perfectly with the pickles inside, it was a savory delight. The lentil soup was another standout, bursting with flavor. Kudos to the friendly and helpful staff, whose warmth enhanced the dining experience.Overall, while there were bumps along the way, the flavorful chicken shish tawook and tasty lentil soup, along with the welcoming service, elevate this take out only restaurant.

Don't hesitate to try--the food is amazing! It was our first time there and we asked the owners what to try. We ended up with beef kafta kabob and chicken sheesh tawook platters--both were packed with smoky flavors, moist NOT dry, and absolutely delicious! Platters come with rice, salad, hummus, and white/red/garlic sauces. We ended with homemade bakalava. Whole meal was 10/10. The inside is pretty bare bones, with counter to order and minimal seating. Looking forward to getting more takeout from this home-grown Lebanese restaurant!

Very nice people. Clean establishment. Extremely flavorful food. I don't have much experience with this kind of food so I was a bit nervous, but it definitely did not disappoint!!

I am a chef and had a conversation with the owner on what they had available, I ordered Shish tawook chicken platter and the lefts kebab platter with 2 sides of fries , which they forget to give me when packing my food , they came out hot but not fully cooked , my sons liked the lamb kebab, I didn't , too gamey for me , the chicken was great , I however make Hummus every week and this hummus lacked flavor and salt , it had the over powering tahini flavor , again not impressed , side salad was good , the rice was bland . After spending nearly fifty dollars on 2 meals and fries , I would probably not go back for mediocre food .

I stumbled upon this little place yesterday and I'll definitely be back for carryout. We had chicken and beef shawarma platters and a fattoush with kofta kebabs. All were excellent.
