Market District Carmel

This week Market District has ground beef and baby back ribs on sale for $1.99/lb, chicken drumsticks .88/lb, strawberries and raspberries for .99 carton, pork spareribs $1.49/lb. I absolutely love this store. Shopping here is an experience. They also have the best bakery EVER! No limits on the items either.The customer service is excellent and the vibe is just different!

We don't live close to Market District, so whenever we're in the area, we take the chance to pop in. This store has all your grocery needs covered - and then some! The produce section is huge. The meat and fish counters have a large selection. There are so many cheeses! The bakery is perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth. Speaking of sweet tooth, there's a Sweet Shop with a variety of candy as well as ice cream. Then there's a separate beer, liquor and wine room, with so many varieties. There's also a cigar room. The only drawback we've encountered is that we'll order meat from the specialty deli counter by the cheese, and they have to all the way over to the regular deli to slice it. That's not the most convenient set up. And sometimes, there's no one at that counter, so we'll have to ask someone at the regular deli for help.The store is clean and organized. The staff is friendly and helpful. Checkout is quick. Wish there was one on our side of town!

Love coming in here but my goodness the prices. Great place to find high quality meat and I love how stress free shopping here is.

This review will be for the delicatessen and prepared foods only. My surgeon shops here for himself all the time so he bought me a boatload of deli items for my week stay at the Drury. Smoked herb beef tenderloin, lasagna, pasta with marinara, fettuccine Alfredo, seasoned green beans, pulled rotisserie chicken, chicken pot pie, roasted baby potatoes, fried chicken, chocolate chunk butter cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies, and lemon herb shrimp were some of the goodies he picked up for me and delivered to my room. The chicken pot pie was the best chicken pot pie I've ever tasted. So great that I went back to Market District today to buy another one for lunch. Unfortunately they had run out of "hot" ones, so I bought a "cold" one, took it back to the hotel room and used the microwave to heat it up. It was still just as tasty as a hot one. I'm buying a couple more on Friday as I head home to finish my recovery. My sister has ranted and raved about their chicken pot pies and now I know why. My doctor told me the secret is that they use the rotisserie chicken in them.

First time getting their sushi, definitely won't be getting it again. Rice must be cooked properly to make good sushi, their sticky rice ruined any chance in selling good sushi. Tried last of the four pieces no rice... fish was not prime enough

This is probably my favorite grocery store. My husband and I are foodies, but I love everything here.I used to live in Maryland, so I was familiar with Giant Eagle grocery store and was excited when we got one. It's a bit more high end than a normal GE, but it's not any higher than Target or Kroger for a lot of items. We got a cake here for my birthday this year and it was so good! My friend who used to have a cake business even commented on how wonderful their cakes were. For her, that's high praise. Highly recommend!

Market district is my favorite market in Indy! Every time I'm in the Carmel area I make it a point to stop by. They have soooo many fresh food options perfect for a quick lunch. I usually go for the fresh sushi or the salar bar. Prices aren't too bad considering everything is so fresh and high quality!

Wow!!! This place has everything from friendly greeters walking around the parking lot to a bakery and a very large liquor and wine selection! This place is awesome every single worker says hi and it's super clean! This is a great place to get the odd or fancy ingredient your dish calls for! Just don't take your whole shopping list here it will cost you both your arms and legs it's expansive selection is coupled with an expensive price tag compared to other local stores selling the same products!

On the way home from a Dr's appointment, I asked my wife to stop because they tend to have good produce. I found some good looking grapes and a bag of mandarin oranges. Upon going to check out, I find one lane that has someone to check you out. When I tried to hand the cashier a $20 to pay, she refused to take the bill from me. There was a coin & bill mechanism below my knees that I did not see. I was told that was the only way to pay. I nearly just walked out right then. I've had 15 back surgeries and more than 20 others throughout my body. I'm not able to bend over without causing a great deal of pain. This decision to take agency away from the clerks, you limit their ability to assist someone with needs. Sure the machines don't make mistakes, but you've now lost a customer. Even though it's my favorite place for fruit, I'm not going to be caught in that difficult and embarrassing situation that you just forced me to be involved.Cutting labor costs is going to cost you customers like myself.
