This restaurant was such a pleasant surprise! I enjoy Caribbean food a great deal and this just delivered! The restaurant was easy to get to, plenty of parking, and spacious to eat inside! I ordered groit, white rice, and black bean sauce! With that order came with pickled cabbage, beet salad, macaroni and cheese, and fried plantains! Groit which is fried pork was soft and tender with a crispy exterior. The rice was soft, and the pickled cabbage was spicy to balance the flavors! Just delicious and plenty of left overs for me to take home! The food was delicious, flavorful, and filling. When I'm craving some Haitian/Caribbean food, I will certainly visit here again!

I was looking to try something different and ended up here. I really wanted to like this place more, but it was tough. You will find this spot in at the end of a strip mall. There is a lot of parking available in the lot that it shares with the other business in the strip mall that it is located. They have a decent sized dining area, that almost looks like a banquet hall. There is a roped of VIP area, a non-alcoholic bar with seating, a vip room and a stage where they host live music. It looks like it would be a hoping place on weekends. You will also find an ATM here as well as a few televisions around the bar area. There is a patio area in the front of the restaurant, but it was closed and had tables stacked on top of each other when I was there.I decided to dine in, which was kind of awkward. I was never seated. I just found a table after standing there for about 5 minutes. The table was not very stable and rocked throughout my meal. Normally, the server brings a glass of water out to the patrons too, but that was not the case here. I had to even track down the server to take my order. The staff there is friendly enough, but as I have mentioned, they are very hard to communicate with. They offer a limited menu that rotates based on the day of week. This is an authentic restaurant. I mean authentic, authentic. communicating with them was very difficult. They did not understand a word I said and vice versa. Somehow I was able to place my order, even though it took a while. I went with the fried goat, which came with french fries, plantains and slaw. I ended up having to point out the drink I wanted in the cooler behind the bar.It took about 10 minutes for me to get my food and it looked delicious. I will be honest though, it was not very good. The plantains tasted like cardboard, the fries were a bit off too. The goat was good, but it and the rest of the food was luke warm at best. It was like it was already prepared and just put on the platter. I ended up throwing my plantains away and I do not like to waste food, but I just could not eat them. I really really had high hopes for this place, but it did not deliver. The food just did not do it for me. The communication issue affected the service and the prices were a bit steep. my meal and drink ran me about $25. I hope that my visit was an off day for the restaurant, but I will probably not be coming back anytime soon.

How does this place not have more reviews? Definite diamond in the rough. I've been told that this is the place that Jamaican immigrants go, and it certainly isn't the Americanized jerk chicken wraps and beef patties that you'll usually see. The menu is fairly limited to something like 7 dishes, which rotate depending on the day. If you know nothing about food like this, that's actually kinda helpful. The serving size is also very good for the price. Though we both got the turkey plate, we could have gotten away with splitting it. So much food. And this was even after doing the Indy Ultimate that same morning. The staff was nice enough, but it's a pretty authentic place, so we did have some trouble understanding each other, just sending out a heads up on it.Overall, if you like to try something new, this place is worth a visit

I had griot with diri complet. It was great. The lemonade I had was perfect. Only points to take off would be for the stains on the tablecloth and the long wait. But aside from that, I would definitely try it at least once.

This bar is pretty nice. My dad wanted to checkout a new restaurant/bar which featured Haitian Food.I ordered the Red Snapper (baked) and wow was this fish huge! It took awhile for the food to come out, but it was very good. Once I find the pictures of the food I'll add it on here. I'm not really into bars so my review is more or less on the food than anything. Bar seemed nice, but I had went on a weekday for lunch so I'm sure this place is popping at night.

Overpriced. Watch out for Marabou Restaurant charges 3 different prices for snapper but same size of food. Be sure to confirm prices before ordering as they display a different price on the menu. Poor and unprofessional atti
