Me and my partner + friends went here during Devour indy. Let me tell you they did not disappoint! Upon arrival we were sat almost immediately despite it looking like they were packed. Our server (I believe his name was Eric) was extremely prompt and attentive. You could definitely tell he was working hard and busy but still gave us a wonderful customer service experience. I got the Truffle mushroom ravioli that Eric had recommended. They were very tasty! Unfortunately they were a tiny bit cold, when i asked to have them warmed up they were extremely apologetic and even brought me out a whole new piping hot portion! Dining room was very cozy and the ambiance was amazing! 10/10 would definitely recommend.

After living in Indy my entire life I finally made it to Mama Carrola's and WOW! The hype is real. We weren't able to make a reservation, but we were sat on the heated patio at 5:30 with no wait. Our server was very pleasant and informed us of the Devour menu which we took advantage of. All of the food was fresh and SO SO delicious. The decor and vibe there is amazing. Very homey. I can't wait to check out the rest of the rooms next time!

Food - I ordered the Italian Wedding Soup and the Roasted Rosemary Chicken. My boyfriend (now-fiancée) ordered the Italian Wedding Soup and the Veal Saltimbocca (Angel Hair). For dessert, we shared the Chris's Homemade Ricotta Cake with blackberries. Overall, I really enjoyed the food here. I loved my Italian Wedding Soup and Chicken. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the cake. It was very dense. It had a cornbread like texture to it. I wish we had ordered something else instead of the ricotta cake.Service - Great service! We had dinner here on a Saturday night @ 7 pm. It was very busy, but we didn't have to wait for a table. If you come here with a party larger than two, you might not be so lucky with getting seated quickly. Ambiance - So beautiful! I love the aesthetic of this restaurant. It's very romantic. The perfect date night

I can't believe it took a decade for me to visit Mama Carolla's. This place exceeded every expectation. The food was amazing, the staff was very attentive and patient (we were on time for our reservation, but it was a late in the evening reservation), and the atmosphere is great. Now that I know there is free parking a short walk away, that's also a great plus. I went as a group of 3; we got 3 appetizers, 3 entrees, drinks, and split a dessert and got coffees. There wasn't a single thing we got that I wouldn't recommend.

Classic Italian! I love Mama's. If you want nice, rustic Italian food ... this is the place! Located in S. Broadripple off of 54th Street, Mama's is quaintly decorated with fabulous service! Went with a group of seven last week and they treated us like royalty and we are a lot! I also love a waiter that tells you their favorites! I think we all ordered one of them. Highly recommend.

I tried this popular SoBro restaurant during Devour. There was a snafu during our wait to be seated, but they quickly corrected it once we made them aware. We were seated in the old house. The architecture is very Spanish with some Italian sprinkled in. For appetizers we tried the spicy meatballs and bruschetta. Both were good. My Pineapple Upside Down Cake cocktail was recommended by a table near us and did not disappoint. The main entree was creamy and flavorful. I parked next door at Good Morning Mamas. They are open 5:00pm -9:30pm Tuesday- Saturday. Service was fast and friendly. There's a bar in the back in a heated patio. Extremely popular restaurant. Italian food done right.

Mama Carolla's is an Indianapolis favorite. This restaurant has been around for years! They are so good you had better get there early or expect to wait for a long time to get a seat on a Saturday night. Walking into this restaurant is like visiting your Italian grandmothers home. It is warm and inviting with several tucked away areas for seating. Our server was wonderful and the food was absolutely delicious! My husband wanted the veal Parmigiana for his birthday and this is one of the few Italian restaurants that have this dish! I did think the presentation of the food could have been a bit better, but the taste was so good I let it go. I did also find it a bit tacky that they had tables in an outside heated tent. I get why they have to do this, because they are so popular, but I would not have wanted to sit out there. Neither one of these things would keep me from not coming back.

Mama Carolla's is one of my favorite places in Indy. I am SO IMPRESSED with the food everytime I come here. I usually don't have a reservation and show up right when they open. The service is always great and they are very attentive. The restaurant is in an old house and it is very intimate. Absolutely love it and highly recommend!!

My wife & I have been wanting to try this place for many, many, years. After numerous attempts but cancelations due to no fault, we once again attempted to try & go. So, for an early Valentine's date, back in January, I booked a reservation. This time, we finally were able to experience it. Our review is the following;"This was hands down our favorite Italian dinner we've ever eaten. Everything was amazing! From the service to the decor to the presentation. Top notch all the way around. Our waiter was phenomenal but I'm terrible with names!! I tipped him well for his exceptional service & recommendations. We live about over an hr north from the city, & the experience was worth every mile. We will most certainly be back. I can't rave enough about the bread!!The Bruschetti was the best we've ever eaten. The Eggplant Puttanesca was the best Italian dish I ever had. The creme brulee was also the best I ever had. We took home Tiramisu & Cannoli to have with our leftovers tomorrow, so I'm sure they'll both taste phenomenal. Thank you to the chef(s), ospite, Maître d, cameriere, & everyone else who catered to us, making our date night most memorable." Take note competition, this is how you operate a restaurant. Worth every penny.
