Great hamburger! Tried it last week before the Mardi Gras parade. They were very busy but it was a fun atmosphere.

Went here today. Nice bar. Went in for a drink. Our bartender was nice. We got our beers really quick. As we got there tons of people was leaving. So not many there at bar when we were there. They did have a pool table. The lighting in bar was not a lot. It's more dark in there.

I love dive bars and beautiful Covington,KY has 2 great ones I visited back in June. This was the first visit as we strolled through downtown Covington on a rainy night. We were here on a Tuesday night, and they were busy. We sat at the bar near the front. The bar was half full, and most of the tables were taken. This looks like a small bar at first glance. However, there is a huge back part that looked pretty busy. What I loved about Mainstrausse is the number of beers available. They had one of the largest IPA selections I have ever seen. I think most were local breweries. I had a couple of those. Customer service was pretty much non-existent. This is a locals, neighborhood bar. The bartender just handed us our beers and walked off. We paid and left. Absolutely fine with me. I don't want to be treated in any special kind of way. Just hand me a cold beer, and we're good. Covington is a beautiful little town with friendly people. I'd like to go back at some time and visit Mainstrausse again.

We're new to town and stumbled across this place on Saturday night when walking around in Covington! There was no wait, we sat outside and had great service. They are known for their fish and chips so I had the fish sandwich and it was the perfect portion! A nice casual and inexpensive spot in Covington. Great draft beer selection, too. I'll definitely be back for their Bloody Mary bar at brunch.

Have two pool tables for cheap play, have always been able to get a table on Saturday nights without issue. Drinks are cheap too. Small place, not much seating but a good simple dive vibe. Bartenders are always solid, get you quick. Also have a solid outside patio in the front and back.

As a DD I requested a water. I was told, if they gave me a water the rest of my party would be cut off. The bartenders are super disrespectful. Do not waste your time at this establishment. I welcome a call from management.

Drinks, specially the Rye was reasonably priced. The bar staff greeted me as soon as I entered and it was great service throughout the evening I was there. The clientele seemed a younger sort and the décor is quaint and gives an old bar feeling. Service was always prompt. Good for a drink or two.

Never have I ever left a bad review.... That's saying something. I'm not a sensitive person at all, but this owner can get all the smoke. Owner is an Old man that will make sure his friend has a bar stool before paying patrons. If it friends only keep it in the basement most childish interaction I've ever had. -20. And to the owner(your a beech)

i love it here its my "home" bar i come here with my fiance aboit 2 times a week there prices r so cheap and the bartenders r very friendly and it brings in a great crowd we love the pool tables in the back we always have a great time make sure u go to the bar and spin the wheel

Stopped for a quick beer. Was amazed at the overall selection of beers, although disappointed that they didn't serve any draft beer. They did however have daily beer specials and a chalk board featuring other specials on drinks and featured beers.Warning: this is a smoking bar. Ashtrays everywhere.
