Luca Pizza & Italian Restaurant

Luca in one of my favorite pizza places. Being from New York, it's pretty close to the same pizza I could get at home. I stopped there today and ordered using the drive-thru. The gentleman who took my order was very nice and made sure my salad was made how I wanted. I got a slice of cheese pizza which is always huge, an Italian chef salad minus tomato, onion, and cucumber, and a garlic knot that comes with the salad. Everything was so fresh and delicious! The lettuce was all crisp and fresh and the pizza and garlic knot were hot and amazing. I don't know how this place doesn't have at least 4 stars because I've been eating at Luca's for many years and never had anything less than a 5-star experience.

This was my first visit to Luca's after driving by here a million times. They open at 10:30 am and upon my arrival at that time someone was already coming out with multiple pizzas. The dining room looks small but seats a lot more people that what it looks like it does. There is a lot of outdoor seating as well. I asked before I ordered the lasagna. It has both beef and sausage for the meats so I ordered. I thought it was very good lasagna, very cheesy on top and it had a great marinara sauce flavor. I would definitely order it again. I also tried a side Caesar salad but it didn't appeal to me. Nothing wrong with it ; just not what I'm used to. It is made with all Romaine lettuce or spinach leaves, I don't know. I'm an iceberg lettuce guy.For dessert I went back up and ordered a slice of their New York style cheesecake. It was just as creamy as advertised. The service was fast. My food came out quickly. I posted some photos of the menu behind the counter for you all to see quickly what is available. This restaurant is similar to Sal's but I think they offer more here; you decide.By the time I left at 11:30 am, there were many customers dining in so this is a popular place. And they do have a drive through as well. The restroom was clean and well stocked.

Oh Luca Pizza, the memories I have from the mall with the teenagers gawking at the girls...But, many years later, my husband and I enjoyed Calzone and Plain Breadsticks that is much better than the slices I would buy as a teen. Good location and it is quick serve style the breadsticks and calzones were piping hot. The conversion of this location to your pizza restaurant is very nice and makes good use of space. There are not only teens working there now and all were busy preparing what I imagine were carry out and delivery orders as well as for the dining room. Thank you for letting me bring back some fond memories.

It's really hard for me to give a restaurant 5 stars, but this place was amazing. I was a little out of their delivery zone, but they made an exception. The pizza arrived and if you ever had New York pizza this was very close to the look, and taste. I got a medium cheese, and another medium half sausage and basil, and the other half ham and pineapple. I also got an antipasta salad, and it looks small but if you put it in a bowl, it will serve generously 3 people. I like the salad so much I went back later in the afternoon to get another salad. The salad comes with green olives, salami, provolone cheese, fresh chunks of mozzarella, and a Italian ham. Also, you get a garlic know with the salad. I wish they had one closer to Plainfield, but I will definitely be back it was that good.

service is CARRYING. they greeted me several times, updated me that my meal was coming and were generally polite to the other guests that entered as welli'm impressed with the options. everything from pizza to pasta. small selection of wine and beer. this is definitely a place to bring the family and satisfy everyone's simple cravings. they offer several combos like pizza & sides or pasta and a side with drink. the flavor was lacking in the pizza , i got sausage and ?? also they didn't cook it quite long enough so the dough was just a bit gummy. i do still love this style of pizza served by the slice and huge! they have breadsticks and garlic knots. i did enjoy my garlic knots, they're about 1.45-65 cents per knot. -- their cheese sauce is not good, and y'all know this is soooo important. whew. not a mask in site :/ there's plenty of seating if you want to dine in, super spacious or they have a drive thru. private parking lot. i paid $13something for 1 slice of cheese 1 slice of sausage 2 garlic knots & a cup of cheese sauce. i find that to be high.

Pretty good. The slices come out more crisp than enzos so that's good but enzos will crisp it up if you ask. The crust is ok but not really flavorful, the sauce wasn't super special. Idk, this is better than brozini by a little but still no enzo or giorgios. The peperoni seems a little thicker which I don't care for. The white pizza barely had any taste. I would eat this if I was at the mall but I wouldn't drive to this place. Check it out, it's worth a taste.

Crust is great. Pepperoni and cheese breadsticks are awesome. *Garlic knots... Brozzinnis are the best go there for them, if ita your 1st time they will give you free.* they have great soda, not sure why it taste better than most but it is. I do NOT like their ricotta cheese! Its water and gross, it separates and I've never had any that has separated on me before on pizza. I also do not prefer their pizza sauce. I prefer a sweeter tomato sauce. Theirs taste bland more like a watered down tomato paste. I'd go any day for pepperoni and cheese breadsticks and nacho cheese dip with a soda!

I like the pizza. It can be a hit or miss though. I love the taste of the pizza sauce. The pizza dough is crisp but soft at the same time but sometimes can be tuff/chewy. Extremely delicious when it's fresh out of the over. Kinda over priced. I used some coupons I got in the mail. Buy on get the second 50% off and that was a little over $30. Will go back for sure though.

Go to the one at the mall! I ordered the standard pizza slice combo, supposed to have 2 garlic knots as a side, as it says on the menu & online menu's, get it brought to the table & only have 1 garlic knot, I ask about the second one to get told that they no longer come with 2, and that I'd have to purchase the 2nd one, somebody else came to the table across from me & I asked them, they were quick to say that I should've gotten 2, just seems weird. I'll go to the one that honors their menus.

The other day, I went to this Luca Pizza location for lunch. It was absolutely delicious! I ordered a Side-Sized Garden Salad, and 1 Slice of the Meat-Lovers Pizza.The Salad was a healthy side option. I asked for the 1,000 Island Salad Dressing to go with it too. It was crisp, refreshing, and provided a good start to my meal. The Pizza was incredible. It was topped with a variety of savory Meats, cheese, and a flavorful Sauce. The Crust was very crispy, yet soft as well. It was placed into their Brick Oven, and served piping hot. Not to mention, the slice was huge in size. It was as big as my hand. Italian, is my favorite genre of food. The Ham and Bacon was a very nice touch as well. They entire building was spotless, clean, sanitized as far as I could tell, and the Employees were very kind. They had a smile on their face, and offered Greg customer-service. I will definitely be returning here in the future!
