Did you know that The Conrad Hotel has a gorgeous, well-curated art gallery within its walls?! Accessible either through the hotel lobby or through the gallery's own entrance on Illinois Street, anyone can walk through the doors and enjoy the art, for FREE. Just be sure to check their hours, as they're different from the hotel's!The gallery only has two locations: NYC and Indianapolis. I feel pretty blessed that our city has such an esteemed spot. Boasting both local art and world-famous art, this gallery switches out exhibits every few months, and holds a first Friday party when they have a new one. Currently, their winter exhibit is called "Rock, Paper, Metal" that will be up until February 2020. Long-Sharp Gallery curates the art in the entire hotel. The Conrad has world-renowned art allllll throughout. Boasting names like Dali, Picasso and Warhol, you'll be amazed by what you encounter by simply stepping inside. There are even several art ambassadors on hand to take you around the hotel and show you some of the masterpieces. So fun!

Long-Sharp Gallery is a lovely space that would be a perfect stop during an intimate date-night. Located right inside the Conrad hotel, it features artists whose aesthetic seems to lean toward contemporary and modern styles. What I really love about the space is that the collection is not just limited to the designated gallery space; you can find pieces from the collection throughout the hotel's public spaces. Also, pieces from the collection are featured in the museum's gallery rooms, which are available for use in the hotel itself.Long-Sharp is free to visit; simply make an appointment with the gallery staff, or stop by during their normal open hours.

A wise man once said, "Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time." That's what this gallery and the numerous collections throughout the adjacent Conrad Hotel will evoke upon you. This place has a large inventory of contemporary and modern art including paintings, sculptures, and interesting interactive/digital installations. It's open to the public and there's plenty to absorb and view.

Just so you're not wondering around downtown looking for Long-Sharp Gallery: it's located on the ground floor of the Conrad Hotel, adjacent to Tastings WIne Bar. The gallery is small, the exhibits rotate, and you can bring in your wine while you admire art. Currently works from vinyl artist Lobyn Hamilton are being showcased until March 30th. It's worth a peek!

Higher end gallery featuring artworks from prestigious artists. I have been to Long-Sharp Gallery (LSG) on a number of occasions, and came away impressed with the level of work they showcased. The work featured local/regional artists as well as artists of historical significance. LSG typically hosts opening nights for new exhibits that are open to the public. It is a great opportunity to check out art shows that may not be otherwise hosted in Indianapolis. Located on the ground floor of Conrad Hotel, the gallery is situated in a sophisticated space in the heart of the city. I recommend keeping an eye out for upcoming exhibits that might be worth checking out.

Love the long sharp gallery! We've always had a good experience visiting and enjoy all of the artists and variety. Amy Kirchner, a local artist is by far our favorite and love being able to see her pieces live.

What a beautiful gallery! I visited while they displayed the whimsical Andy Warhol: Pre-Pop exhibition. I was in love with the placement and descriptions of Warhol's early contour sketches. It was great to see another perspective of Warhol's style, while still immersed in some of his more famous work. The space of the gallery really invites you in, despite of it's size. The gallery is small but you don't feel overwhelmed. The only disadvantage is the parking situation; Long-Sharp is a perfect place to visit if you are already downtown for the day and plan on walking around the city. I definitely recommend a visit for anyone who loves art. Whether you're an art connoisseur or an aspiring creative, there is something for everyone to admire at Long-Sharp gallery.

The artwork showcased diversity, modern technology, culture, and all the beauty within each. The artists at first Friday were amazing and highly interesting to converse with and engage. I was given a tour by Arianna Cruz, and she was very knowledgeable about the pieces and offered new perspectives which I admired.
